I really enjoy playing Ground Branch. It's design is small and easy acces, but everything is coded with so much detail. Nurd craftsmanship. It's the best teamwork fps game since the early stages of cs, when people understood the concept of gaming together. As for now there are a ton of military games that didn't made me as excited as Ground Branch. This game gives a true feeling of simulation. It triggers me to use skills, teamwork and communication. Things I did during my time in the Army. If you like guns, teamwork, communication & simulation and you can look through its bugs and early stage, this is a game will keep you going for at least 100 hours. I hope there is future for it, where I hope this game will be crafted to it's true potential.
Yes it does, it reminds me a lot about Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear. Those had motion-captured animations done by actual operators, so that was really cool to see. It's great to have a game that actually has people hold their rifles in different stances.
Hey I recognize that sexy operator in the leaning tip portion of the video XD Great video SiC! Lots of useful tips here. This should be a mandatory watch for new players haha
Yeah number two reacts to what number 1 man does and so on. This gives the first guy flexibility to go the best direction he sees fit. Trainng yourself to always go in one particular direction can be bad.
Bonus Tip: If you find yourself in CQB and a hostile is in your face preventing you both from shooting each other (what I call a "clinch") pull out your sidearm and fire from the "ready" position (where the gun is tucked up against your chest). Doing so will fire the gun in your targets chest or stomach while you're backing up to properly aim down you sights. in some cases it's better to maintain the clinch while you fire until the target is neutralized to deny the enemy a chance to retaliate. practice this maneuver in the range to get a feel for it and how to smoothly pull it off, then keep it in mind next time a Tango jumps out in front of you and pushes your gun aside with his body.
I use a gamer mouse with speed adjustment and have some real trouble to aim, when I try to put my aim over the target it seems that it fails to make small increments like it skip some frames over my screen so I end up aiming a little over to the sides of the target.
Yeah I've been searching for this error, and a glitch that occassionaly happens with my weapons, where My hands get misplaced and obstruct the aim, the only fix is to drop the gun and take it back, but after a while the gun is not usable anymore.
Tip #14 is a bit... overcomplicated. there's no need to brief anyone where to go since "the pointman is always right". Meaning, if the first guy through the door goes left, second goes right, third goes left and so on. You just need to know to NOT go where the guy before you went. CQB is so incredibly difficult, there is no need to make it more complicated. Just my 2 cents. Good video for a good community!
That's fair enough, but not something everybody seems to do intuitively so I figured I'd point it out and at least bring it to people's attention, and hope they bring it up while playing :) Also, currently in GB you need every microsecond you can get when clearing rooms, so knowing in advance where you need to go still has it's use I think. Glad you liked it though!
Yeah the AI right now is broken for sure. One thing that also speaks against it is that the pointman would have to ignore any immediate threat that is outside his pre-planned sector. Let's say he is tasked to go left, yet spots a target on the right while making entry, having to ignore it. that in combination with the current AI? Death. xD But I will stop nitpicking now.
Haha with flashbangs you buy yourself a little bit of extra time, but operators REALLY need to follow eachother in quickly, practically pushing up against eachother to take advantage of it. Luckily AI is still being tweaked, eh? :D
So acidentally discovered 3rd person mode. Not sure it's its an option but I can't get it back. It looks like the ghost Recon third person veiw over the shoulder. The reticule is yellow.
I know there are a few keys that activate different camera modes, you should be able to find them in the keybinds. Might be something like PageUp/Down and so on.
Why is it nearly 0 players on all servers? Maybe no player base in Australia. Dam that's annoying. Wanted to play multiplayer online, but servers are empty everytime I check. Does anyone know which game mode is popular online?
Currently it's mostly coop being played. I haven't seen many servers running tvt, though I'm actually looking forward to that. Sadly Australia seems to get the short end of the stick in multiplayer population in a lot of games, but I guess even more so for a small indie title. Fun fact though: one of the developers is from Australia!
There are PVP modes but at the moment not a lot of servers running them. There is a new mode for PVP in development though when exactly it will come out I'm not sure. For now, the primary thing to play in GB is coop though PVP is possible if someone hosts a server.
Definitely not the only one, hehe. Though I wouldn't like it if it was in third person, that comes with it's own problems in terms of realism, like being able to see around corners without exposing your body to fire. It does look more cinematic though.
Can your voice be heard locally when you are on the radio? Also my best tip to avoid TK from scrubs so far is wear Tan everything in Coop. We'd all like to think everyone PIDs before they shoot but.....
When you use 3d VOIP you can be heard by everyone in your direct vicinity. If you use the team radio, you will not be heard. Bit of an interesting design decision, I'd prefer everything was heard, but you can stay stealthy with people around you, or you can accidentally give yourself away too.
Same a la TaskForceRadio mod for A3 having to set to whisper and being able to sneak up on ppl based on their voice really enhanced the pvp IMO. Nothing more immersive than playing US vs RU and hearing Russian voices around a corner...XD
Guys just popping in here to let ya all know the price for Ground Branch will be going up to 29.99USD! so get it now while it's still cheap! They have made great progress! If you're on the fence about it now is the time to check it out.
Looks like a great game. But i was wondering if the community is very serious and toxic? How forgiving are the pro players towards noobs? And can you play just casually without stress? Usually when i played R6 Siege, players were extremely toxic after mistakes, teamkilling and screaming into the mic.. They were behaving like it's real war and our lives are on the line.. Sometimes there would be some wannabe captains bossing around and forcing their rules and strats on the whole team, and if you don't follow their dumb strats = teamkill I stopped playing ranked and switched to casual expecting it would be better but no difference, players are still toxic.. So how would this game compare to R6 siege in that aspect? I would really love to play it, i love tactical realistic shooters but the players are becoming crazy these days.. I can imagine them playing high on Adderal, G Fuel and what not, sweating and banging their keyboards lol
Sorry for the late reply. To be honest there isn't a lot of PVP going on outside of organized events. It will be hard to find a server that isn't coop at the moment. Those will largely be a lot more easy going though, perhaps not even communicate as much as you'd expect. You might need to try and take the lead with that. Generally though the game is quite different from Siege, it's much more inspired by the Old-school Rainbow Six games, the original, Rogue Spear as well as Raven Shield. The community seems to be a bit older as a result, rather than screaming children in Siege.
The more the merrier! If this is one of your first pc shooters, you picked one with a fair number of options that other shooters don't have so once you master this you'll master most everything else too :D
@@SiCDisaster now I just have to find a server where they slow down a bit. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. All I’ve played with thus far sprint off into random sections and get ghosted. 😆
PVP is a part of Ground Branch, yes. But at the moment it is still underdeveloped, and people are mostly playing cooperatively. There are bigger plans for PVP in the future, however.
It really isn't, though. A couple of small things aside like switching between items, it mostly plays like other shooters except you've got the low and high ready which are ignorable until you get more familiar with switching between them. For the most part though you can just WASD and left and right click through the game like pretty much everything else.
Graphics aren't everything. Considering the fact this game is made by a grand total of three guys in their spare time (lack of money means they work full time jobs to support wives and children, working on GB in their spare time), I'd say they're doing rather well. But like I said in my other comment, everything is work in progress, including the AI. Right now they all operate as single entities, but eventually they will work together, take cover more convincingly and so on. Imagine the AI of the original Ghost Recon. If I remember correctly there is no groundwork for tactical AI within Unreal engine 4, so they have to do absolutely everything from scratch.

Couldn't agree more!
One thing I must say. The movement looks very authentic
Yes it does, it reminds me a lot about Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear. Those had motion-captured animations done by actual operators, so that was really cool to see. It's great to have a game that actually has people hold their rifles in different stances.
This Game needs more players, i love this game
Yep, as many as we can get! Convince your friends!

Hehe thanks man, and thanks for helping out!
Nice work.
Got the basics and some more advanced stuff covered.
This will help the new players alot.
This looks amazing, they have been working on this for so long but it is finally or almost ready.
Yeah, it's getting some momentum now :)
Every Broperator embarking on their Ground Branch adventure should have to watch this short tutorial.
Haha thanks man :D
Broperator. I love that word ❤️
I'm so glad to know that the doves of the Original Ghost Recon and Rainbow six are developing this game this is going to be a winner
Yep, one of the few devs who get it and are willing to see it through :)
Well, not to be that guy, but it's just one dev, right?
This game has the opportunity to be the finest realistic milsim out there..gun and player customization is miles ahead of anyone else.
Yep! Definitely coming along nicely. I hope more people are going to get on board :)
The one man is always right when clearing a room :)
You mean the first man should always go right?
SiC no whether he buttonhooks or crosses the one man is always correct and two man will go opposite
Yeah number two reacts to what number 1 man does and so on. This gives the first guy flexibility to go the best direction he sees fit. Trainng yourself to always go in one particular direction can be bad.
Sharing this to a few friends who just got this game as a gift.
Cool! I hope it helps them :)
Yes, and this also helped refresh memories of Raven Shield. I try to play on Seattle 01 official server as That Confused 1.

Quick question, how did you check your magazine in 7:33
hold R
2:13 shows you and your buddies play an offline map together, how did you do that? Great video BTW!
I think it's not more difficult than making sure it's part of a server's map rotation, but I'm not sure. But thanks!
how do you use the off set rail?
Master Beef when you are aiming down sights you can scroll up or down with the mousewheel to switch between optics.
i dont play this game but i love watching this

Hmm that's unfortunate mate! Perhaps you could ask on the official forums what's going on there, or if there's a fix for it.
Yeah I've been searching for this error, and a glitch that occassionaly happens with my weapons, where My hands get misplaced and obstruct the aim, the only fix is to drop the gun and take it back, but after a while the gun is not usable anymore.

A lot of the regulars that I know are just happy to have a game like this again, and to have a community to play with. So yeah, I'd say so :)

Not yet, but there will be. There will be a single player mode.
I hope it'll work similarly to the original Ghost Recon.

Can you still stack acogs
I think they've removed that 'feature' ;)
3 years later and it still looks just the same... sad
Youre using a high ready in a killhouse where you are being watched from catwalks ABOVE you therefore contradicting the high ready principle. PRO
Haha that's a very good point actually, never thought about that xD

LOL never noticed that, too busy scanning for threats and trying to kill them :D
They should add more camo
Over time they probably will, but I doubt it's high on the priority list right now.
Recoil is too low especially when full auto firing
All still WIP, so feel free to share with the devs and who knows what might change? :)

Ari Mo Pretty sure some do that. The one you see most commonly (M150) doesn’t.

It looks very boring and sterile. AND AI very dumb. But will keep an eye on it.

This game is so basic lol. It just has extra unnecessary features. Then of course it’s first person and not open world. Don’t sound like milsim to me
