GoGoGo Great job
Thanks! We are almost half way. I can't believe it!
Amazing the kids wowww
Well done all
Thanks! Camino or bust!
you are so amazing and have inspired us to take up the challenge! Im a Spanish born Aussie mum of three who has decided to walk the Camino in 2019 with my 13 year old son and 15 year old daughter....my 19 year old will do it 2021 with his buddies for his 21st. Your kids are a scream!! and I can totally relate to Avalon only doing it cause you made her do it (exactly what my fifteen year old said last night) and to Largo, my son is so keen to do it to also get a six pack! We are making your videos compulsory viewing at home and I am hoping to get in touch with you via the worldtowning site to ask for advice when you guys finish the trail. Buen camino and remember the most important saying of all...No vino, no Camino! :oP hugs to the kids all the way from Australia and keep the videos coming!!!
Thank you so much for your support! So happy for your future hike. You will totally love it!!! Thanks for the compliment, they are definitely a lot of fun on the trail, even when they complain at 6am. Ha! So happy you are watching it at home and it has been helpful. If you have other questions please let me know. No shortage of vino here, they offer it by 6am. Ha! Thanks again for your support. I am so excited for you to do it.
I cracked up at the description of the albuergue like an orphanage from the movie Annie. :)
you probably dont care but if you're bored like me atm then you can stream all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last few months xD
@Prince Moshe yup, have been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
You guys are awesome, all of you!!! I have to admit that Will is my favorite because he is not only the cutest, but also the youngest. You are also so lucky to get your kids to walk such long distances, audio books great idea. I admire you!!!
Thanks. Although I do agree Will is quite cute, I think you are referring to Largo. Will is the oldest in our group and the dad/husband. Ha. I don't think we really gave them much of an option in the matter. Well, we did, but we strongly encouraged them to take this crazy adventure with us and run with it. So far, so good.
Thanks for the reply Jessica and yes, I agree your husband is a cutie as well!!!, all of you are great looking!! Apologies for the mistake in names, last night was my first ever watching your channel and now I am hooked, you are all very entertaining, adventurous, courageous and admirable.
No worries at all. I knew what you meant and was not offended. Welcome to the channel. For the next month it will be Camino vlogs and then back to our European adventures. And thank you so much for your kind words.
Gee how can i not comment!!!.you guys are unreal.i am loving these videos.i felt for Jess and Avalon.hopefully tomorrow will be better.you are all such an inspiration.cant wait to watch your next video.love you all xxxx.
Thanks. Avalon and I are much better, but our feet still ache a bit. So glad you are enjoying our vlogs. More to come.
OMG I'm just glued inspired and I absolutely love you people you're just an An amazing family. 😍😍😍
Thank you Zakia for your compliments! This is truly an amazing experience. So many inspiring people along the way. Put it on your bucket list!
I'm riveted to your vlogs... I could feel your pain, Jessica - but just love that you push on with positivity and, what seems to be, your characteristic friendliness. The kids are doing a phenomenal job and Will is 'the man' with the quality videos. :)
Thanks so much for your support. Oh boy, did I have pain. I wanted to cut my feet off. That day was a hard push with positivity for sure, but I muscled up. Ha. Thanks I will tell the kids. I am so proud of them. And Will, well, he is a superstar caring kitchen sink.
What a wonderful adventure. Thank you for sharing the fun, challenges, and inspirations.
Your welcome. So glad you are joining us virtually.
I'm loving your videos. You are all doing so great. Are you planning on taking any rest days? I've heard that after a rest day, your body gets reset and you have a lot of energy the next day. Thank you so much for sharing this journey.
We have taken one rest day so far to work. Our plan is to work every 5 days and count that as our rest day. I agree, we did feel great after resting our feet. So glad you are enjoying our vlogs.
You people are amazing. Love your music choices as well and I'm virtually sending huge KUDOS to your kiddos! #inspiringkids!
Thanks for your support Terri. You have been with us forever. xoxo. Will is a superstar with the music choices. This is how he landed me years ago, charmed me through lyrics. Ha. He just got a ukulele for Father's Day so new stuff coming. Have a fabulous summer!
Today was especially interesting
- you even had a band of singing
hippies along the way. Life is
full of surprises. Do not abandon
the trail. Keep your spirits up.
We will not abandon it, they will have to drag me off in a wheelchair before I will quit. Even then I might make Will push me. Ha. Yes, this place is full of interesting people. We love it.
Wonderful video. Your kids are champs in hiking. What great memories they will have to remember in trilateral years. You all are great parents. Enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you Bertha! They are really surprising us with their commitment and endurance. So glad you are along with us virtually.
Although I love all your travels but, but, this is tempting, but I don't think I can do it, Chapeau to you guys... from Paris this time:D, see, I started my journey too hehe :p kidding, am only here for work 😔 hope to get a remote job asap to start traveling too
Thanks. Good luck with the remote job. So far it has been challenging on many days, but overall tolerable if you don't have a strict schedule to adhere to and you can let the body rest when it needs rest.
Absolutely love your channel. I especially love the interaction with your family.
Thanks so much Olivia for your kind words and your support. We are a bit of a crazy bunch, but I just love our crazy bunch. Ha.
Keep it going guys! You have some wonderful sights to see along the way! I walked the Camino with my 20 year old daughter in 2015, and I am going back, on my own this time, in late August of this year. You will have finished it by them. I loved it and I am excited about walking it again! Best wishes from Cornwall, UK!
Wow, congrats on doing it with your daughter. We saw our first mother/daughter team yesterday. Congrats on your return in August. It definitely is addictive. Thanks for your support.
I did this in 2015 half way, and then finished it in 2017. Thanks for the video, it brings a lot of memory of the Camino. I can wait to see you reach Pamplona. Ultreya!!!!
Congrats!!!! So glad you are able to do it again with us virtually. It is coming!
Great to see you are still pushing through, the first few days are always hardest as you get used to all the walking.
Yep, we are still here. We will fight till the bitter end. Boy, those first couple of days are super tough.
It’s improving, getting easier, I can tell because your talking about getting up earlier to engage more. Great video, loved it.👍👍two thumbs up. ❤️
Well, we have to get up earlier for better light for shooting. Ha. However, it is getting easier for sure. Thanks. Will is working so hard on these.
Well done to you all, hope you all get a much deserved rest 👍🏻
Thanks. Tomorrow is a half rest day. Woo hoo!
"reminds me of the orphanage in the movie Annie". ahaha. Loving your videos of the Camino. You guys deserve way more subscribers.
Yes, lets get more subs. Thanks so much for your support. We just love sharing this WorldTowning journey.
Love watching you,its bringing back memories
Thanks. So glad you can join us virtually. Such an amazing experience.
Su much respect for you Guys, you are all doing a wonderfull job. Keep it up!
Thank you so much. Your kind words mean a lot to us. xoxo
Wow I was hurting for you!! I’m not thrilled with the bed situation this time. But I suppose when you are exhausted, you don’t care!!! A bed is a welcome site!! Looking forward to the next episode! Stay well
I could have cried that day I was in so much pain. I wanted to cut my feet off. Ha. You would be amazed at what people do when they are exhausted. I am seeing more skin now than I saw in my 20s and I saw a lot in my 20s.
Jessica Sueiro I sensed there could be tears off screen by your face at times
There were a couple, but I just put it in perspective and I worked through it.
Jessica Sueiro I’m positive you did. 🤗
Happy Father's Day Will! Rox
Thanks. He had a great day of hiking and achy feet.
I have a app on my phone and tablet, white noise. it has a good library of sounds and seems to be low power. I use it when I have trouble sleeping in noise locations.
Great idea!!!! But, then I would miss the symphony of snoring. Ha.
Great work with the vlog. Looking forward to my second Camino in two months time. Go to gauchos in Pamplona best pintxos!
Congrats! Amazing that you are doing your second one. You just may catch us. Ha. Darn we are past Pamplona already. Our vlogs are about 5 days behind. However, we did have good pintxos in Pamplona.
Buen camino!
Gracias. This place really is magical.
I want to do the camino ! Buen camino!
Yes, do it! It is a fabulous experience thus far!
Love you guys! We'll be starting the Camino in Astorga on June 22! I sure hope we see the World Towning crew!
Would love to connect on the trail, but I think you are going to be way ahead of us. We are only at Granon today. If you do see us please stop us for a chat.
I kind of figured when you spoke about your original itinerary. My boys and I will leave some messages for you! Buen Camino!
That would be so cool!
Jessica love your skort!! Wow this looked like a hard day. Proud of you guys!!
Thanks. It is so comfy, but no pockets which drives me crazy.
I have so many skorts it's not even funny. I'm always on the lookout for one. I have one right now from Athleta that has TONS of pockets, but the skirt part is a bit long, and it just doesn't FEEL super comfy on me.
I love Athleta! My favorite store.
Damn i jumped ahead.i thought i was seeing a new video but i had already seen it but didn't comment on that one anyway i think you guys are doing a fantastic job,to become a vegetarian?no i don't think so but to each their own.i hate mushy bananas too, geez the kids are going great.your accommodation is a bit dicey especially if you snore.lets hope you all sleep safe and sound and no sore feet.after this trip i think a little bit of r and r is in order. your positivity never ceases to amaze me.all the best.keep safe, look after each other.i am rooting for you.
Thanks. It would be hard to be vegetarian in Spain for sure. Last night was our craziest sleeping situation and we are totally beat today. Tomorrow is a new day. Ha
Jessica Sueiro .i can imagine, was it the flip flops or people snoring?hopefully you all will get a good rest tonight.remember you have alot of fans rooting you guys on.ALL THE BEST ,YOU GUYS ARE Aaa...MAZING.
Thanks for your continued support. Some days are easier than others, today was a hard one. Total blister count on me is 7. Yikes.
My two cents from an experienced backpacker: If your shoulders hurt, your backpack isn't adjusted properly. Most of your pack weight should be on your hips.
Thanks! On this day our friend Okay adjusted my pack for me and it was like magic. I could not believe how much more comfy it go. Only thing that hurts now are my feet. We should have taken you with us Bob.
And use those trekking poles! They help with your posture. Your back will thank you.
But how will we do that and shoot?
Yes, I know... but I do see you just walking and talking a lot. :)
Tell Will Happy Father's Day for me.
FYI. If you haven’t discovered it yet compeed if wonderful for blisters diclodenac gel is otc and cheep topical anti-inflammatory. Buon Camino
We love compeed. I think I brought every size and shape they offer. Luckily we have not had to use too much. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the suggestions.
Google maps is never right on this !!! They do'nt count the backpack / heavy kitchen sink / keeping the kids happy / talking talking talking with others / stops for video's and pictures etc etc etcc. If you are doing more than 3km per hour you are heroes !!!
Ha, I know and all the guidebooks say something different. Exactly, all the extras take us longer than the solo, 20 something hiker. I think we are more than 3km an hour, but each day varies.
Your Camino video is mercilessly the same as all the other Camino videoed, except I should say, mercilessly habit forming. lol.
Thanks! We are so happy you are enjoying our Camino vlogs.
Hi ;)
hi!
Hi guys, I really like this post of day 3.....but I think you are getting a little bit behind versus how many days you really walked up till now. Perhaps the quality of the Wifi in the albergues is not helpful for you guys when you want to upload a daily report in HD quality...
Yes, we are on day 12 of the walk, but it is not always easy to edit a full vlog each day. It takes about two days so we are releasing them as we have time to edit. We would love to be caught up to real time, but it is not possible with 8 hours a day of walking. Thanks for watching and we will do our best to get caught up closer to real time on our rest day this week.
I think you are doing top!! Have a lot of succes in working together with walking the Camino voor av 22 km per day :-) :-)
What are your trail names?
Funny, someone else just asked us that, but I don't think people do them here. However, we do call Will "Kitchen Sink" You know what, tomorrow we are going to do trail names for all of us. Thanks for the encouragement.
What is the average price $$ dollars ... per person
On average I would budget 25 USD pp , per day.
