Thanks for posting. I have always been fascinated with heavy equipment since about the age of five. When I was 13 years old I got to drive a D9 Cat. I am 79 now and through my life time I have; operated a back hoe, sat at the controls of a locomotive and drive it out of the yard about a half mile and then back, flown a helicopter (took lessons for this), a twin engine Beach Baron and the Ford Trimotor airplane. I'm so impressed by your skills on operating this backhoe. Thank you.

I appreciate the fact that you knock the spoil piles down so the trolls, goblins and forest people have a place to set up camp.
This guy doesn't have a good grasp on what he's doing, though his movements with the shovel arent bad. Why was he digging that drain path deeper as he got closer to the road ? Should be the other way around. Not very efficient with his movements either.
Plenty useless movement by this operator. He seems playing / stretching with the time.

Here in Germany we had to build a fence in very wet area in the forest. Too muddy for tractor so we carried 80 small log poles...
Enjoyed, that's very therapeutic to someone who's only driven farm type stuff, a rear tractor mounted ditching bucket isn't in the same league!
That a good ecological project,
prevent people from polluting by driving on roads 4 times longer all around.
and for stop fires during the dry season...

I like the split screen to give an alternative view.
I think there was a camera outside the cab, in the swamp area where he was digging that side trench, that gives us the second view. the excavator is visible in the screen where it shoots its perspective.
Ah that other excavator had a different, more conventional bucket. Probably from the last time he was here.

Bonjour possédant aussi une pelle qui fait que 9 tonnes de 2007 ( Hitachi )mais qui m aide bien a l entretien de la propriété , je passe toujours autant de plaisir à regarder vos vidéo, car possédant en étant et un cour d eau.

When you are up to your ass in alligators it’s difficult to remember that your initial objective was to drain the swamp. Great civil engineering project... The split screen helped visualization. Perhaps you could amend this video with an image when the water has receded and the road is dry. Thanks for sharing.

@@MrAJWorks did you see the water level there was lower from further away or do you have ground level data to know the water would drain down into that area if you cut the channel?

To trzeba budować zbiorniki ,stawy i oczka wodne z przelewami i przepustami wody pod drogą aby woda moģła swobodnie przepływać i nadmiernie nie osuszyć terenu bo te piękne drzewa uschną.Oczywiście rowy przydroźne to podstawa i połączenie ich w system wodny stawów i oczek wodnych tak aby spełniały funkcje rezerwy wodnej dla tego terenu Pozdrawiam.

Using the excess dirt from the ditches for a higher roadbed and culverts instead of making dams out of it would have prevented this mess. They do make topos, it prevents water from running up hill.
Because, it's marsh/swamp low lands..
It's best to remove/dig the 3ft(or so) of top soil.. to get to the Sturdy gravel/sand/clay 👌 Layer of Earth.. Before, adding gravel or a paved road.
The Best Scenario is having that G/S/C layer protruding out of the ground 2ft or 3ft.
