In my next life, I hope I get to do this for a living .. A way to legitimately play in mud and water without people wondering if a "professional needs to be called in to deal with the crazy lady playing in the puddle" LOL ... ( wish I could do it now, but pretty sure at my age it won't be happening... ) On the plus side .. I get to live vicariously through the you tube screen.. Not quite the same as playing in the mud, digging in the dirt etc.. in person.. but it is fascinating to watch ! Calming somehow .. And, I find it brings back SO many wonderful memories of being a kid and all the fun we had just playing in the forest .. damming creeks.. un-damming them .. building up again and again over the summer months.. Ahhh... memory lane is full ... : ]

The watercourse is very straight. I think it was artificially created many years ago. It is by no means a natural body of water!

The culvert will be laid a little later,as the base of the road is still very wet and the sand for the culvert cannot be delivered Thank you 👍😉

No, I'm not stuck because I'm careful.I am usually alone in the woods and I have to be careful because no one here can pull me out.We will put the culvert later, if i participate, i will film a video.

Yes, you are right.And to lift the base of the road, the material has already been dug out of the ditches and will have to be led here😉

I notice when cutting the ditch with the bucket that it appears to be consistently level, common sense says it must be an arc, it doesn't appear to be. Is this the skill of the operator - built into the mechanics of the machine - or the arc is negligible because of the short distance of the cut ?
I have a question. When you dump the muck off to the side why do you push it down and smooth out? I figure you must have a reason for doing it.

Why widen the upstream side? Downstream it makes sense to me... More water volume can flow away...but upstream?
Usually clear both sides.Upstream so that the new culvert is not quickly flushed with debris, sand, etc.

Amazing that the machine is able to stay up on solid ground like it does. With the surrounding area so wet/swampy, one would think such a machine would sink almost out of sight. But what you are doing works well. And your skill leaves little trace that your machine was even there. thumbsup

That Forest is very flat, nowhere for the water to go to. In Wales all our forests are on hillsides. I was in Penllyn Forest near Bala last week, the elevation changed 500m in about 6km. The roads did have some washouts on them caused by torrential storm-water.

Is het niet zo dat je op deze manier heel erg snel het water uit de toplaag van dit bos laat lopen? Ik zou zeggen lekker nat laten dat bos, het duurt nog ff voordat het weer gaat regenen.
Er is genoeg water in het bos, u hoeft zich daar geen zorgen over te maken.

Just wondering why you dont extend digging out the channel for an extended distance. Would allow for a better drainage of water. It would be quicker and allow Land to dry more effectively. Not critizing just wondering the why's is all
The goal is to have no water in the culvert.Cleaning 50m is enough to prevent water from accumulating in the pipe😉

And why clearing upstream? The slower / volume of the inflow the less erosion on the road. Unless you are crating flow to create clearing of a culvert?
