Using a plank sack helps reduce banking frequency (obviously) but here's the big brain move that many don't think about, since you should be on the lunar spellbook for the contact npc spell, if you bring a log basket, you can plank make and have plenty of extra planks between banking. Grind hard, grind often, and grind smart. Enjoy the grind and stay toxic.
@angerbooze3362 I do both, I have a bunch of planks in my bank to fill my plank sack with, and while running to the house from the teleport location, I plank make. Makes the running portion of the contract feel like not wasted time. It also saves a bit of gp since planks are cheaper to make than to buy.

8:00 small tip is that the number on your keyboard will always be the same for that type of contract. So for expert you can build and get new contract with 4 (3 for adept etc)
I used the book of the dead for the north hosid contracts as it's weildable takes one less inv spot and actually pretty close tele. And the tithe farm tele for the 1 south contract, I found normally it's off cooldown by the time you get another south step and could always just book of the dead if not. Just some extra options for limited irons. Also you did it but Falador contracts are a great time to bank as you run past the bank anyway

i have to disagree, i really enjoy leveling construction with zen gardens it's like 3.3gp/xp for 2 skills. 6.6gp/xp if you only care about leveling one.

It's really not a bad loop, but they should really add more contracts to the game. Varlamore, maybe gnome stronghold would be good. They definitely have houses there they could make use of.
I've been doing the kingdom as a resource for mahogany logs, been doing that for about a year now and have over 20k logs. I'm getting ready to do this grind now. I'm also an Ironman. The best way I've been able to support the plank make cost is corrupted gauntlet
i get my teak logs at locus oasis with the log basket... after that teleport to fortis bank and repeat u will have infinite run energy too with high enough agi lvs probably 50 or 60 agi will do
I got over 1k teak planks pretty fast by planting teaks at fossil island, 2 tick chopping them and teleporting to my POH. Have your butler make them to planks, tele to fossil island and repeat. if you tele out after you give the logs to your butler, the planks go to your bank.
Yeah same, ig this is good if iron - but if not, you can get 700k xp/hr from mahogany tables - both tables and contracts are similar focus. Idk why you’d ever do contracts aside from rewards.

Would you recommend making the tabs for my grind on my iron? I have 13k+ mahogs to go through and I'm not sure if it takes longer to make the tabs or just get the contracts there instead, doesn't seem like a massive difference in time due to casting and stuff
Once you get your construction high enough to build a portal room you could make three portals for varrok, fallador, and ardy. Then if you are able to make Tele tabs to home or have a steady access to a Tele close to a home portal then you would not have to invest in making too many tabs.
I'm currently going for the cape on my main and have about 27k planks to go. Not experienced on playing an iron but making the tabs shouldnt take long if you have runes already.

Another nice fact is that with Mahogany homes you technically make more xp per plank compared to the best methods. Using the Runelite calculator it shows you get way more xp with MH. Of course a lot slower but for Irons with time, super great

You need a bank to withdraw from the log basket

I did mahogany tables and I also wanted to take a short fall off a tall stool
with the recent change where you can use menu entry swapper for house construction, its way better.
