- My sister had never been to see the ocean so my friend Donna and I took her to Montauk (The farthest tip of Long Island). I had taken amateur video and thought the ocean sky themes went well with Kate Bush's brilliant song Sunset. One of the most perfect pieces of music ever written. The beautiful slow almost Jazzy first half and then the change of tempo to Flamenco guitar and choral responses, utter genius.

Many great artists have gone to jazz (Soft Machine, Sting), but Kate makes jazz come to her.
That song is simply a diamond.... Kate Bush is such a tremendous artist.
The more you listen, the better it gets. God I love her.

This song leaves me speechless. I am in awe of this woman. Americans use the word "awesome" almost as much as much as we use the word " fantastic " but in this case our delightful Kate is both awesome and fantastic and every other superlative you wish to use!
When musical pioneers diversify they often encounter resistance from fans who love the older, more familiar territory first developed by an original & innovative approach. But innovators naturally want to continue the process of discovery. Kate has covered so many aspects of the musical landscape in her career & she continues to explore in this effort. She will likely leave some of her more dedicated fans bewildered, but will likely be embraced by new ones. Quality is a constant in her work.

shockingly good. considering how someone can be this talented is pretty humbling, more so for most musicians who look absurd in comparison.

might sound wierd, but I want to see a figure skating pair dance to this song.
i really love the contrast of the two shots at the end, the actual crimson sunset and the iridescent blue city! i know you probably coloured them but it was really nice! x
