Gayle, your hand stitched journal cover is beautiful and will be very special for the Mother's Day digital kit. Very pretty other fabrics as well for your covers.
I really love them all. I am working on a Victorian journal, so I went on over to your friend and bought me a cover that I think will work out great. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Love all the work you do. Have a blessed day.
Good morning Gayle!! Yes please to selling your covers!! Count me in!! 🥰 All of these covers you made are beautiful, really love the slow stitch one. Have an awesome Sunday...💜
Delightful fabrics make for pretty journal covers. This summer my goal is to make a slow stitched journal cover, thanks for the inspiration! Have a blessed day!
So In love with your slow stitched journal cover❤ Last night I could barely sew on a button without pricking my fingers 😂 I can’t thank you enough for your videos. I have grown tremendously creatively, and this makes me excited to create, and play some more. Thank you sweet Gayle!
☕️ Having my coffee and visiting with Gayle 😊. The slow stitch cover is beautiful and you picked the perfect digital kit to go with it ❤. Yes, I agree! The upholstery fabric cover you made from the kit will be perfect for your mixed media pages!!! Thanks for walking us through your process. Have a great day!
Good morning, Gayle! I love when you make fabric covers, you make the cover Queen! Your covers are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing & have a wonderful day!🤗💜🌻💕
Hi Gayle, Great video! It was such fun to see the new journal covers coming together and the papers for your next journal are beautiful. I will have to check out her digitals.
Thank you for this video on fabric covers. Your slow stitch one is to die for. I am so excited you are going to show us how to arrange the S/S. I have watched you make paper collages for years they are fantastic. I try to make mine look like yours but can’t,mine looks like trash blown against a fence. I got several slow stitch kits, I don’t why because I can’t arrange them either. All the covers are gorgeous.❤️🐇
These are going to be lovely. I just bought some fabric for a bunch of journal covers a few days ago. I did 2 fabric covers a couple months ago and absolutely love the feel of them. ☺♥
Pretty fabrics! My favorite bases are the 10x13 envelopes with cardstock inside to make them stronger. I look forward to see what kind of journals you make out of these!!
By the time I had cut a whole quilt out, pushing the button on the cutter to close it became second nature. It really has to become something you don’t even think about. I’m very glad that you are trying to remember because those rotary cutters are wicked tools. Your covers are so pretty. Love the slow stitch one! Hugs ❤
Hi Gayle..I just love watching you put these covers together. It's very inspiring and motivating. I think I'll put some together this weekend. Love and blessings...durinda🤗💜🤗💜
That slow-stitch cover is SO pretty! I look forward to that journal. I also love the floral on black background, that will be a lovely journal. Lots of great covers (and journals to come)! 😘
Your thingamajiggy, rotary cutter, is extremely sharp. I know retracting the blade is a pain but if you ever cut yourself, it’s like a razor cut. A couple of my quilting friends learned the hard way & ended up at ER for stitches. The covers are all so pretty. Of course my favorite is the slow stitched one ❤️
Happy Sunday sis! I have been waiting for this one all week. I can’t wait to see how make your fabric covers! Have a wonderful Blessed Sunday! Love you sis! ❤
The fabric w/ the butterflies & postage stamps might pair nicely w/ the Cathe Holden postage stamp fabrics!? 😘🦋 Your slow stitch cover is gorgeous!! Fun journal kits from Diane too!! Happy Sunday!! ❤🤗
Absolutely fabulous Journal covers! I LOVE them! I have 3 days off in a row starting Wednesday! Can’t wait to work on some of mine for my Christmas Craft Fair in November! Yes I need to start now to be prepared as I work full time! I am so excited!! Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️📕🇨🇦
Good morning Gayle! 💕 So glad you made these today! I haven’t made fabric over Manila envelope covers in ages. I tend to over think and over complicate journal making and always gravitate to hard cover, 3 to 5 signature, etc. for some reason. Need to give myself a good talking to. Mix it up a little! These are simple, quick, and lovely. Hope you are warm and well. 💕
Yummy yummy covers Gayle! Happy Sunday❤ Retract retract aye yye yye. Cringe, you were making me nervous. I think you're going to have to find two Other Mothers Day kits and make Mother's Day journals for each of your girls.
Gayle I am a short person and have found a small weight (like 2 pounds) on the end of the ruler that is farthest from me helps a lot to hold everything while I cut with my rotary cutter
Hi Gayle. Thank you so so much for doing this video. I have had lots of questions and you have been so gracious. Do you ever put the closures underneath the material before you glue and/or sew the cover together? Thanks again. ❤
I don't think you could have chosen a cover more perfectly for the mother kit. All of your covers are going to be special journals, of course... you don't do anything other than special, unique, and beautiful. Curious to know what goodies Mike was making. 🤗 Belinda xxx
Hi Gayle, I'm not a quilter, so can you advise what type of batting you will use between the top fabric and the envelope on the black cover? Thanks. And, thanks for doing some of these on screen again. I needed reminded on how to go about it.
I’ve used watercolor paper from paintings that I did that turned out crappy. If someone someday dismantle someone in my journals they’re going to find a piece of a watercolor painting inside. Also Gayle made some videos where she used the Amazon bubble envelope inside, I’ve done that too. It’s a nice little crinkle.
Hi Gail. Good morning! I don’t think you sewed that chenille one. Simply because of the way the zig zag corners appear to be sewn. They don’t have the Gayle’s special turns that Some of us don’t have enough coordination to do. Lol
Hi Gayle love your style! I seem to struggle putting signatures in as well as everything that has to do with measurements, I’ve tried to do the measure twice and cut once but it’s a struggle. Do you have any suggestions? New subscriber . ❤
Welcome to my channel, Sandra! I’m so glad you’re here! My only advice is to keep practicing. Like anything, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. 👍❤️
I will help you never forget to close the rotary cutter. I heard of a lady who didn't close her cutter, went to scratch an itch on her face, and cut her face with the rotary blade.. after hearing that... I never forget to close my rotary cutter..!
Good Morning Gayle! I have a silly question. Do you slow stitch your entire cover together, or is there regular sewing first to add peices to each other and then slow stitch around? Sorry. Just not sure. I bought my first sewing machine when I started following you. I am very much a beginner sewer. Thank You
Morning Kathi! You maybe can see in the video, the back of the slow stitch piece is a solid piece of cotton fabric. I lay out the design with all the fabrics, yo-yos, etc., then stitch them on by hand. Hope that makes sense. I do have some videos of doing the “fabric collaging” for slow stitch projects. You might find those if you search Gayle Agostinelli Slow Stitch. Hope that helps! ❤
These are so lovely. You are so blessed to have lovely material to make your journal covers.
Good afternoon Miz Gayle, these covers are BEAUTIFUL!! TYFS
Stay Crafty 💜
Since I've watched you make fabric-sewn covers I have made two and they actually worked out well. Thanks, my friend.
Gayle, your hand stitched journal cover is beautiful and will be very special for the Mother's Day digital kit. Very pretty other fabrics as well for your covers.
Hi Gayle! Love all the material and the covers. TYFS! Have a great evening too. 👍🌸🌸🌸

Good morning gayle happy Sunday 😊❤😍😘
Morning Natalie Anne! ❤
So pleased you shared this Gayle. I've just sorted my material out, so I will be making covers. Love the slow stitched one.
PRETTY
They are all so pretty, Gayle. I love them. 😊
lovely!🦌💌📚

Good morning Gayle 💜
Morning Denise! ❤
So pretty
Instead of batting, you could try flannel in place of it. Put the flannel where the batting would go.
Good morning Gayle🌞

Good morning Gayle, great job today. ❤❤❤

Beautiful covers!
Good Morning Gayle. 💖💖
Morning Edie! ❤
I think putting the script fabric with the French prints would look great 😊

As much as I would love to copy your project, unfortunately we don't have the same stores in the UK, but love your tutorials
Lovely covers!! Namaste ❤🐞
Hi Gayle. Thank you so so much for doing this video. I have had lots of questions and you have been so gracious. Do you ever put the closures underneath the material before you glue and/or sew the cover together? Thanks again. ❤
Yes, I have put a ribbon in between the cover and the envelope before sewing before. 👍❤

I just use a flatter batting from Joann’s. There that really puffy stuff…I don’t use that. The sales lady can help you find the thinner batting. 👍❤️
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Oh, thank you very much for those details!!!! That's what I was worried about,....it being too thick or fluffy.
Love the slow stitch cover! Question…do you suppose it would be ok to use scrapbook paper cardstock (ugly one) instead of an envelope for covers?
Sure!! A file folder works too! ❤

Hi Gayle love your style! I seem to struggle putting signatures in as well as everything that has to do with measurements, I’ve tried to do the measure twice and cut once but it’s a struggle. Do you have any suggestions? New subscriber . ❤

Hi Gayle, I have done a Bird Journal, you probably have enough ephemera to do one, just a suggestion. Love ya, Jan
I will help you never forget to close the rotary cutter.
