- Seriously -- what do F.A.G.s have against Doug Stanhope? Filmed at the second reading of the Bisbee Civil Union Ordinance on May 21, 2013, this video was censored by UA-cam at the behest of First Assembly of God (F.A.G.) members.
"I'll bet the cop who took Rosa Parks off the bus felt like a dick." Comedian and Bisbee resident Doug Stanhope makes an astute observation about civil rights, and council member David Smith pushes his own agenda by "doing the right thing," as the Bisbee City Council votes the second time to recognize civil unions.
Doug and Bingo are so transcendantly beautiful just standing there completely out of time and space with the entire room. Such vivid incongruity is manna for my soul.

Never understood the opposition to gay marriage. As I see it, during a church marriage, two things happen. A religious ceremony and the signing of a legal document.
If the church doesn't support gay marriage, don't do the ceremony. The legal side of things can still go forward (once the legal barrier is removed). After all, the only reason for the marriage certificate in the first place is to keep track of who owns what so the Government knows who to tax and how much.
Seems obvious to me.

It's sort of complicated but back in the day, the Romans had tons of influence in the world, so when they adopted Christianity, it spread like wildfire, which led to the Church being in charge of everything for hundreds of years. This made it really easy to spread the religion and so there is the constant struggle for power between church and state, one that they're losing as more and more people become atheists or are at least calling bullshit on organized religion. And yes I'm aware that the Romans were catholic and the U.S. was founded on protestant principles, but it's all the same shit when you're an atheist.

Y'all can thank Mr. Stanhope for his outrage last council meeting. I couldn't help but notice that the coverage for this event was all over the net, especially the atheist/agnostic circles where Doug was hailed as a hero for his contempt at the two and a half minute prayer platitude, aimed at showing the public how religious groups like the the First Assembly of God hold their position of higher moral ground as they cast their wicked gaze upon those, whose only crime is the freedom to choose to love and thus, marry, whom ever it is that they choose.
Yeah, when I hear a homosexual use the word 'love', I get pissed off, because they don't know what love is. When they say 'love', there's always a little spray of cum dribbling off their lips. They don't understand what it means to 'love' another person, because they're utterly narcissistic, hedonistic douchebags who care only for themselves. Have you ever met a homosexual?
