Fair play, bet there’s not many have done that top to bottom in 1 hit, especially not at that speed! 2km vertical drop in under 12mins is good going 👍🏼
@@Alexskiing I was in Les Arcs for a couple of days just before covid. I really enjoyed it, but the queue for the cable car to get to the Aguille Rouge was far too big both times we passed it and wouldn’t have given us time to get back to La Plagne. I hope that some day I’m allowed back to France (or anywhere with snow for that matter) and will definitely be wanting to have a go at this! 🤞🏽
Hi Ryan, I had the same problem trying to work out weather I could make it to la plagne. It's such a huge area but there we're no ques in Les Arcs when I was there. Lets hope next season we have stress free skiing 👍

That's very fast skiing, well done! I did it last week in 24 mins, but it was only my third week skiing. I had a fall @6:00 section, it was quite icy there
For now I'm still learning how to ski in the begineer area in Vallandry, but I hope I'll one day be able to do this run as it is certainly one of the most beautiful run in France and a must-do (even in summer to enjoy the view) in Paradiski
Awesome. You and I ski very much alike… pushing the boundaries. I just happened upon your channel and love the footage. It’s inspiring. It really makes me want to find a way to travel more and enjoy all these amazing mountains of this planet. I’ve spent most of my time in the Rockies but have yet to venture overseas.
Took a fall in the early section there two days ago. Helmet was a lifesaver! Was able to continue after collecting my skis. Let this inspire the small minority that has yet to wear a helmet to invest in proper safety gear!
The top is a lot steeper in real life, the gopro does not do it justice! And of course this guy is shredding and making it look easy. I did this run in a blizzard with zero visibility and it was very difficult, my friend even lost a ski in deep snow, took us a good 15mins to find it and dig it out.
You really have got to have your wits about you Alex! I can almost hear your mind whirring as you approach someone whose doing turns across your route, trying to decide which way to pass them.
Did it early April 2011, wearing T-shirt & shorts all the way from the top. Couldn't get all the way to Villaroger - the bottom had all melted it was so hot.
Crazy how mellow the first part looks through the GoPro. That first section down from the ski lift is a lot steeper looking in real life! I visited Les Arcs during Easter and also did the top to bottom, but with wet spring snow combined with Sahara sand that made for very sticky snow that was hard to handle. I also took at wipeout mid-run at 70 km/h when I hit a soft and sticky spot :) My legs were tired and shaking already halfway down and I really had to struggle in the sticky wet conditions to make it all the way down in one go (without any other breaks than picking up the gopro and skis after the crash). Great job in making it all the way down at your speed, and in 12 minutes! Here's my video of my 15 minute run: ua-cam.com/video/YGN5BdhTE78/v-deo.html
@3:22 its those skiers that dont finish their turns that are always so unpredictible to pass on the slopes, yet we are the ones responsible for their lack of technique sadly. overall a lovely run ^^
@@Alexskiing I think it's about 1:17. You turn left, and there is an opening in the orange fence on the right. I'm sure thats a really tricky bit of slope that I never saw many people go down.

Still the two old chairlifts in Villaroger...
It takes a long time, to go up to Arc 2000 again...
your not wrong there however its a great place to park to access the lift system if you are staying in Tignes as I was.

The speed is sometimes wrong like at 7:20 it shows that you are going about 40 mph when your going about 15 mph

when u start going straight down the speed slows down. Great video keep up the work tho !
Hey RamSquared the data is smoothed out slightly which gives that effect of I don't I get anomalies in the data showing like random speeds.
Not sure what those numbers at the bottom of the vid relate to.....

The recorded speeds aren't relative to what you're doing. At one point, it says 9 kph when you're clearly doing more! And vice versa.
