Great run! It does my head in when people (skiers and boarders, but especially boarders) just stop on the middle of the slopes! Les2Alpes was my second ever ski trip in 2001. I don’t think the sun came out all week, plus I was focused on the back of the ski instructor : ) so didn’t recall much of this scenery. Not the prettiest of resorts as I recall.
I picked a sunny day to ski here and apart from the initial huge morning queue, it ended up being a better resort than expected... Some long long runs here...
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this . I worked in 2Alpes during the 2002/3 season . It was my 3rd and final season . Many a happy memory riding down the glacier in every condition, best was hoodie weather in March . I haven’t seen these slopes since then ! Real nostalgia for me , so thank you for taking the time to upload . I forgot all about that massive cat track section with the drop on the right , it was real skill for a boarder to make it all the way with out unstrapping 😅.
Great video! Unfortunately there’s 10x the number of people during the X-mas holiday now - going down the mountain is now more a fight for survival than fun.
This video has sufficiently convinced me that I should start this 24/25 season on the beginner bunny hills before stepping back onto the Blue/Green runs. Thank you for saving my life 😂
Thats true, the people are really annoying at that place, but as a person coming from behind you have to be patient and always be able to react to the people in fron of you. Here you could not break down anymore and you almost crashed...

Merry Christmas, what's left of the day. Big icy patches on that green track run, and that skier who nearly hit you was a beginner, as the ski's he was on were beginner rentals.
Wow people everywhere, you do well to pick a line through them all. The GoPro does a great job of stabilisation and you can still hear your skis even in the howling wind. Is your GoPro in a case?
awesome video. I am new regarding Gopro. What do you mean with the case? I am planning to buy Gopro 10 Black Hero for skiing.. Do you know whether there ıs important difference wıth your camera? Thanks.
Aside from the rule that the overtaking skier must avoid others, is there some etiquette about where to stop (or NOT to stop) to rest or sight-see on a ski run?
@@ProfitableAgribusinessIdeas There are a few in Europe that offer summer skiing, such as Saas-Fee and Zermatt in Switzerland, Tignes in France and Hintertux in Austria... those come to mind. Nothing in Serbia except for a dry slope at Kopaonik...
@@ChasingSnow Yeah I looked it up, it's gone apparently. It was an 8 seater Doppelmayr lift that ran about parellel to the second part of the Jandri Express. Was really comfortable and some very nice views. Sad that it's gone for some reason. Les 2 Alpes was the first place we went to to go proper skiing, like 20 years ago. Went there like 8/9 times and did sooo many laps on that lift. Still remember the first time on the Jandri Express as well when you crest the first hill, was absolutely mindblowing to 12 year-old me.
Les 2 Alpes is by the far the largest ski resort I have ever visited. It has the most extreme off piste terrain and most dramatic views. It is also the worst place I have ever skied. Absolutely soulless place that depends so much on a few key highly overcrowded pistes. Bloody Brits everywhere too and they all smell like they had 12 pints at the pub last night (French-speaking non-drinking Aussie here). If you want an authentic French ski experience with much more varied terrain including tree runs but still crave a large resort, go to Serre Chevalier which is about an hour or two south
I’m a “bloody Brit” and went to Les 2 Alpes last December and had a great time, I met a few Aussies who were absolute legends and I’m still mates with them now, I’m very glad I didn’t see you there Anthony, with all due respect you come across like a bit of a judgemental prick I can’t lie
I remember skiing with my girls when we were all younger. Thank you for sharing the moment!
Glad it brought back some memories :-)

Really happy it brought back some memories... I'll hopefully be back this coming season with some updated videos....

I can imagine, this is the time of year I tend to have a break, it's time for everyone else to enjoy... ;-)
Ever tried the valley run during spring? 😮 Never again. 😶

Haha, cheers! :-)
17:50 hate these people that are like "Oh lets just randomly have a coffe break group meeting in the middle of the tight ski run"
What can we do? They don't realise...

Went there last year with my mates, coming back here again this December after Rise festival is over👍 should be good
Enjoy! I'm hoping to be there in December also...
J'ai travaillé à la construction de cette télécabine, année 85, je ne suis pas sûr, en tout cas très bons souvenirs !
That's amazing... they will replace it soon with a new one...

I was a little worried the skier would stop right at that gap... but fortunately kept going... Merry Christmas to you too...

If you look up FIS skiing rules, they are listed there...
Should always stop to the side and in a place where you can be seen from above.
Awesome, will there be snow in June?
On the Glacier there should be some, but I'm not sure if they offer summer skiing... best to check directly with the resort...

Did they get rid of the 8 seater ? That was one of my favorite lifts in the entire alps.
I'm not really sure as that was my first visit...

Looks like they have a few new lifts almost finished or still being built, so I assume it has been replaced...
Only managed to ski here for half a day and didn't even get to see the top ;(
That's a shame but there is always next time.
Is the panto bar gone now, looks like they knocked it for the new lift???
It was my first visit so not really sure...
Pano bar is still there, just between jandri 1 and jandri 2

How much time it actually takes to go from bottom to top?
Umm, about 30 mins I think....
3130!!!
