Imagine putting in drastic labour to excel within your chosen sport for a decade or two, and when you reach the prime of your life, prepared to reap all your rewards, you run into Carlos Alcaraz.
or the Big Three Novak/Federer/Nadal
@@scout7060 i thought the whole next gen might give up because there time wasn't coming due to Novak 😂
Yea, but I don't think he bowls so I'm good.
@@shoaibmemon8788The next generation was pretty weak. Thiem was owning Djokovic almost everywhere.
At some point they just have to realize they're not gonna be the at the very top and play well enough to win some smaller titles and make enough money to have a comfortable life.
if the arm holds out this will be Alcaraz's first French title
Sinner will have something to say about that tho
@@mpa1931Sinner isn’t good enough of a clay court player to beat Carlos at Roland Garros
@@mpa1931injured Alcaraz beat unbeaten sinner at Indian wells!!
Clearly you don't know that but could be. Sinner would be the favorite on any other surface but clay. Novak I believe his age is FINALLY catching up to him
Don’t rule out djokovic yet
Here's what's absolutely stunning about this. Alcaraz is obviously being careful with his forearm - his power isn't there (I mean, he's still powerful, but it's not Alcaraz-level power). But his tennis intelligence is so outrageously high, he is able to adjust his game to hit more looping topspin shots to put his opponent on their back foot, which will result in returns not as deep into the court - and with Alcaraz's speed and shot placement ability, he'll always be able to create awful angles for his opponents. Ironically, I think this injury is going to make Alcaraz a better player -- it will force him to develop his game and strategy so that he relies less on power -- and this will likely also prevent him from being injury prone in the future.
Man I love the high looping moon balls he does when under pressure, gives him time to get back in position and back into the point.
Carlos also needs to be aware that in the future, he may not be quick enough to reach in advance and prepare the shot to his liking. In this case, he may need to adapt his technique to a different form of attack/defense.
@@viralmody9772 That is still 10+ years away. He'll get adjusted just fine, his striking from FH/BH is already much more devastating than either Nadal/Djokovic ever had.
This is a fantastic tournament! Alcaraz, Sinner, Ruud, Tsitsipas, Djokovic, Zverev, Medvedev, Rune. That's an insane field in R16 and beyond.🎉
Felix lost the will to play on after Carlos got to that drop shot. 😂
I thought Felix would give him a better fight. Just too good. 🤥
he said shiiiiiiiiidttttt
Thanks Roland-Garros for the spoil in the thumbnail at each highlight
I always commented to complain about this to every grand slams channels and they don’t give a shit.
@@lyttlefat3393atleast the other slams have decent highlights these 3 minute highlights are a complete joke. Djokovic vs Musetti 4.5 hour match and 3 minutes is crazy
I've complained about this forever and I always get back this ridiculous and moronic response: 'everyone knows the result already, we are just providing highlights'.
Also, I love with only a joke of 3 minute coverage, they make sure to include the pedo moments where the players walk in, holding the hands of a prepubescent child. WTF is up with that?
@@lyttlefat3393 RG do what they want!
It's a lost battle. I don't know if they are either completely stupid or they just couldn't care less. The only one who does it right is TennisTV.
Alcaraz just looks so dominant and confident out there. I think he will be the top player for years to come.
shhhh. don't let djokovic fans hear you say that.
You forget dear Jannik
Bold prediction!
@@peace4myheart Why? I'm a Djoker fan and I can appreciate the quality of Alcaraz and Sinner. They're at the beginning of their careers whereas Novak is almost retiring lol they're not rivals like Nadal and Fed were.
Jannik and Alcaraz will be the top two
He is just so good
Pure class... The best player to enjoy watching.
Personally i am more biased towards sinner but man alcaraz is soo good that you feel just good watching him play
If healthy, Sinner beats him 8 out of 10x
@@asphaltcowboy7567 A healthy Alcaraz def Sinner anyday...
@@blackjackal9506Are you suggesting all the times he lost he was injured? Sounds pretty much like an excuse.
@@asphaltcowboy7567 well alcaraz won that match fair and square. Happy for him
FAA is completely defeated spiritually😂it's written all over his face
He tried his best, nothing to laugh at.
Didn't really notice that from the highlights, since almost all of them show FAA from his backside while Alcaraz is making impressive points.
Without question
I will never get what Felix’s gameplan is when playing Carlos…
the reason is his early-life desire of becoming the GOAT has disappeared into the thin air. now, he is reduced to going after a few slams and quite a few 'big titles' not that even those would be easy. this is what the emergence of the likes of alcaraz and sinner has done to many high ranked young tennis players.
Carlos is so alert and focused, it's scary. FAA doesn't have anything to hurt Carlos on this surface.
He's like this often in tournies, he starts off great early rounds and looks invincible, until he suddenly loses
@@DraconasOr wins the whole thing. He's done a lot of that too lol
1:28 is exactly the kind of stuff Serena used to complain about. She did a similar thing in that US open final vs Stosur. Hit a great shot but not a guaranteed winner as the opponent could get a racket to it and she grunted for longer and was ruled hindrance and she lost the point.
Plenty of men do it including Djokovic who does it on big points all the time. At least be consistent please.
Carlos sooooooo fun to watch! Vamos!
Maaan! ALCARAZ is a PURE CLASS ❤️
No, I can't stand him, but I like him more than AA
After getting broke in the first game..alcaraz never looked back! I think he won in 2nd gear today, not really tested
👌 When he's playing his best -- nobody else playing today can touch him.
Well, there is no need to play out of your ass in each and every match. Victory is the most important
Yeah, FAA looked sluggish - like he just wasn't fully in the match. I wonder if it was physical, mental, or both.

Remember umag 2022
@@raghumanda2tanush496 There is a more recent clay confrontation between the two. In 2022 Carlos had no passing shot, no down the line backhand and a very rough serve. I give Sinner the edge on a faster surface where Carlos can't compensate his lack of wing span and height with movement speed, but on clay, I feel it is a different story.
Djokovic probably loses to Zverev as it’s clay where zverev will out grind older 37 year old Djokovic and zverev has the serve and baseline combination to beat him just like against Nadal. Zverev came close before in us open 2021 but I think clay is harder for Djokovic to beat this version of zverev at this point in his career. Even if that happens I think Alcaraz facing tired Djokovic will not be as competitive so the draw depends
Dimitrov defeated Hurckaz
Sinner is beating alcaraz
They keep reducing by seconds 😂 we’re going to have just 30 secs eventually. Alcaraz is an assassin!!! I want to see him against Rublev Meddy and of course Sinner 😅 my poor blood pressure.
Edit: Oh and Dimitrov 😬
1:27 Love it when Alcaraz extends his roar like that. Beast mode is ON!
I hate it. Umpairs should start calling hindrance and making them lost the point when they do this.
@@miguelangelescobargomez4623yeah. Sabalenka does this too sometimes.
Alcaraz has been soaring through these matches playing only 80% of what he is capable of .
La volea que ejecuta Carlos al 1:08' fué descollante. Es realmente IMPRESIONANTE todo él repertorio qué tiene y en cada una de las distintas superficies qué las puede aplicar y muy bien además👍🏻👍🏻
Alcaraz v. Tsitsipas in great form on clay is must-watch TV!
I hope to see Carlos win his first French Open title here! Fingers crossed!
The difficulty level of the shot making from Alcaraz is off the charts. Felix was like what the fuck do I do? Lol
Demolition!!
And THAT is a butt kickin....
Faa was injured

actually every point was worth watching. highlights can't do justice to clay court point construction and carlos was brilliant in set 2 but still restrained which is fantastic. he will need to save his best for all matches going forward. hoping his arm stays healthy. fingers crossed.
@Z1az285 it was but some people in YT will say 24 UE is too much especially on clay they clearly don’t know tennis
@@colethomas903who??
@@colethomas903felix made many so carlos made less, tsitsipas sinner Djokovic/ zverev won't make many unforced errors , in those carlos will make more
@raghumanda2tanush496 the guy that’s playing doubles and then mixed doubles

Who the heck has sinner even played has he ever been down a break or in a TB
Carlos has played 2 opponents higher rank then sinner toughest by ranking
Djokovic is Djokovic he could be in final
Sascha could be there or lose in SF or lose tomorrow
It’s funny u talk about he make more UE those guys but u never talk about those guys making lots of UE it’s only Carlos I find that very biased
Sascha can make 41 UE against someone it’s crickets
Djokovic makes a lot crickets
Rune makes 45 UE crickets

Carlos Alcaraz is only 3 matches away from his maiden title.
Sinner will beat him
And for go to australian open to complete the grand slam lol

This is not his maiden title. He's already won 2GS just not RG which he will.
@@brendajohnson5525 I think he implied RG title.
Bit unfair how u show alcaraz who won all the points in the highlights and u didn’t show the other player winning at least one point.
Bit unfair how you don't even know the "other player"'s name lol
That is simply because probably the bantu did not win a single point.

@@kimriley2491 tf u on abt
Unfair? You can watch elsewhere for that, otherwise complain to RG all you want for 3 mins highlights but they ain't gonna do shit
Think this will be his first French Open title the way he's playing. Looked like he was having a warm up out there.
really pumped to see how Carlos played his way into the match. he was restrained in the beginning, adjusted to the conditions including wind and struck at the right moments. some brilliant stuff in set 2 but in all honesty the highlights can't do justice to clay court tennis. every point is unique barring a few
Looking strong!
stay focus Carlitos this is your RG
I see so much of Roger’s game in FAA. FAA just never made the leap on the backhand and serve that I thought he would ….. never mind how he doesn’t handle match pressure well. Maybe he can pull a Stan and get it together later in his career because he has all the tools to win a grand slam
The delusion is strong in this one.
@@thiagosilveirap9468nah that's not even delusional. FAA has reached that level before so could he get there again? Mabey
Bro out of the two of them alcaraz has a lot more of Roger’s game
Alcaraz is way ahead of FAA no one is arguing that but he doesn't have an ounce of Roger in his play style@@jeradjenkins2110
FAA’s game is not even a pale imitation of what Federer brought to the court. And I’m not a Felix hater, but that is an absurd statement to make.
What a beatdown
Another level. Can see he's still holding back with his arm to on the forehand not going at 100
Excited for Carlos 1st of many RG Trophies 👍👊
Bro don't jinx it
let's do jinx it, too early to tell, but let's hope.
@@unowen7591 i did not
Sinner is gonna beat him
Thank you for not showing the end of the match at the beginning of the highlights. Now just extend the highlights and this will be great!
R16 is a good result for Felix. He's going in the right direction, even if expectations have fallen for him compared to a few years ago.
Bantu felix should consider himself lucky still being in the top 50.
No, it's not.. he lost and will continue to lose against top players 😅
They been saying that the past several years about FAA, he has the talent but lack of mental strength to win titles
Alcaraz just in a different league
When Auger came along in the late 2010s his power was one of his strengths. I remember Tsitsipas saying that. Nowadays he seems to lack power and depth in his shots compared with the top five or so players. I'm not sure what happened.
The bantu curse worked.
That's some scary tennis from Alcaraz. Kudos!🎉
I think Felix toys around with his food too much. Those long rallies Carlos wasn’t having it and went on the offensive to end the point as soon as he could. Well done Carlos!
Nah, I think it was Carlos who was the one playing. Felix couldn't put it in the right spot and Carlos as you say ended the point
These tennis channels need to fix the thumbnails... they always spoil the ending by showing who the victor is
i refuse to believe this channel is taking 3 set games, showing 8 points out of the entire 25 game match, and uploading it as a 2:59 youtube video. unbelievably embarrassing.
Happy Felix is playing better but his problem is still not using flatter groundstrokes. Everyone loves the ball the comes off his racquet.
What a masterclass by Alcaraz. He took care of a quality player like FAA as if he was an amateur.
The most impressive thing about this Carlos win is how dominant Felix looked against Sheldon.
Very good..
The champion is Carlos ..always be...
Alcaraz and Sinner gonna dominate tennis for the next 5/6 years
10
I don't care about robotic Sinner as Carlos is my favorite.
Sort of obvious that Carlos had NO worries in this match, from the beginning... A-A just has NO weapons to hurt him. In every department, Alcaraz is the superior player... he knows it, and yeah, he is that good.
can we all take a moment to appreciate the skills of the roland garros editor ? Should be tough to compose all these bangers within 3 minutes.
good one 😂
The backhand winner at 1:29 is just chef's kiss/classic european slide #alcaraz
Playing with a lot is confidence and swagger, is Alcaraz.
1:27 Djokovic approves. 👏👏👏
Alcaraz is going all the way !
VAMOS
the favorite of the most....go go Carlos...
Just a massive difference in quality
Vamos!
Lol that Felix actually thought he might be him was cute.
Oh man what's going on with FAA. I haven't seen his previous versions but didn't he take nadal to 5 sets at RG 2022? I tried looking up that match on youtube but can't find it. What was he doing then compared to now? I'm curious as to what has changed. He looks very nervous the way he's playing atm.
that guy is beyond insane
I only wish these highlights could be double longer
Watch some other highlights. Some :20! Much better.
Alcaraz is such an amazing athlete.
I really hope he wins. He might have trouble against Tsitsipas though. I’ll be very very happy if he wins RG this year.
This guy is truly amazing. I know it has been said by others many times, but I really think he will take the mantle of Rafa forwards.
Alcaraz is in good form. Controlled aggression.
FAA has to learn to put that backhand down the line
Superb
Let's go💪 Carlos 😍💜
Vamos !!!que en el otro nos vamos 😊
Daaaaaamn....that was total domination. Impressive win.
Min. 1.08 Chapeau!!
FAA has been really well lately - finally looking like the Top 10 player he's been. But Carlos annihilated him. Carlos looks super dangerous and a legit fave for the title (assuming his arm holds up). Good luck to FAA - super nice guy and has youth on his side
Carlos on clay, is another animal. He will win roland garros many times. It's bound to happen sooneror later.
Increíble como hacer ver mal a Félix que estaba teniendo buenos partidos, volvió el Alcaraz que tanto se extrañó será buen encuentro vs Tsitsipas
damn FAA has to improve his backhand down the line there’re so many chances to hit a down the line winner
he did at times, its improved but its not enough
@@z1az285 he seems to be not confident enough to make that shot i do he think he can as he got a good backhand form
Not Happy with the editor putting all points won by alcaraz and not a single by felix.
New RG champion right here.
Just like he should've been last year.
Health is an ability. Should have, could have, but didn't.
Tough watch cuz we all know felix is really good but alcaraz was unreal in this match!
How come you never posted any video of the Auger vs shelton match? What's the reason?
I wonder why no player gets intimidated by FAA’s grunt. It’s pretty intense 😂😂
Alcaraz don’t play boring tennis
Totally agree. Sinner on the other hand is boring and not pleasing to look at.
Alcaraz was overpowering.
Alcaraz Vs Sinner will be an amazing match
Great win, onto the text VAMOS
Alcaraz vs Sinner, would be the next rival after Nadal vs Jokovich
Carlos the Goat❤👍😎
Alcaraz is unstopabble
Hope younger gen. can be going through until the final here in RG, Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner
That's a decisive win.
Always thought that FAA is trying too hard to make his grunts sound manly and deep.
The bantu grunt.
Buhahaha yup😂
A few years ago, FAA seemed destined for top 3, now not sure what happened.
Carlitos ❤❤❤❤
For those who have attended a match in person, I have always wondered just how bad is the grunting?
WOW!
Felix was playing his best but knew after the paasing shot Carlos hit to take the second set that he had no chance.
nearly impossible to play against with
I wish Roland Garros do not show the winner of the match in the thumbnail of all clips!
FAA have to work out on the depthness of his ball placement. His ball went in almost 90% in mid court...
