If it makes you guys feel any better, the American amiibo trainers beat Japanese amiibo trainers so bad in their most competitive amiibo tournaments that most of their community quit overnight.
1:22 Japan is one of the weakest regions for Melee. Their biggest tournaments aren't even close to 100 people and aMSa is the only top 100 player from Japan (hopefully Ingenn will change that). The main issue is that most Japanese gamers prefer to play the latest game. Japan was actually pretty strong back in the golden era.

As a European, having your entire reputation on a game only lying on Armada and Gluto is at the same time frightening as all hell and sick as f*ck
Armada single handedly brought the European total to 4 1st ranks which is a crazy single player performance
