Hello Michael Hampton, this series of videos help me very much to understand the draw of gesture. I learned a lot, thank you,(Sorry for my english, I'm not native english speaker)
Why does this feel like a different process than the book or gesture lecture? Especially the legs. Is this something that comes with experience in the human figure?
@@michaelmcdonnell3905 Every approach is only easy or hard depending on what you want to accomplish. I always think its best to learn everything and take the positives from every system of thought.
@@stevenmichaelhampton haha I was just being a smart ass 😂😂😂 love your work man I brought your book awhile ago but to find out you had a UA-cam as well I’m grateful for the lessons
Check out my course on Proko! proko.com/course/introduction-to-figure-construction/?af=543975
This is what I needed for the last 10 years of my life! I am feeling so blessed and excited that you created this amazing opportunity.
How, how did you figure it out, please tell me.
The silent master appears
Thanks for the video! I was confused about the order of the process when I read the book. Now it is all clear!!!!
This is actually very helpful as an example of seeing the thought process behind describing gesture for me.
Aww, You uploaded this on my bday. Thank you Senpai ;3 This video has been helping a lot getting rust off.

I have never found anatomy to be this easy and perfect at the same time ❤️
Why you deleted the class of this demonstration on this channel?. Your book always needed a video instruction to reinforce the concepts.
This is amazing!!! Thank you so much!! Your book is also just perfect.
I realize this post is old, but.....It it would be really cool to have the original pictures to see why you did what you did

Yeah, I came here to see how he does it and it feels like he changes every time welp lol
I think he's combining some elements of anatomy and form in his gesture drawings
This is so helpful, thank you so much
It's like Loomis and How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way.
Love ur gesture drawing, thanks for posting.
I'm trying to repeat this, but mostly a chaotic set of lines comes out; apparently there are problems with the ratio. I keep trying
Do you use any photo referencein this? if yes, can i have a link or some kind.
Check Figurosity, there's reference for almost every pose with both sexes and many body sizes and shapes
Great! I am so thankful.
I like your brush, do you happen to have a copy that will work on procreate?
Default photoshop brush.
This easier to do than construction drawing?
Don't know ... depends, I guess.
@@stevenmichaelhampton They are like simplified block and cube drawings like most artists do.

Are these 1 or 2 minute gestures?
Since he’s drawing in real-time, just look at the time stamp when he completes one.
What is the brush type used here?
Just the stock photoshop round brush
Great! This really helpful
what software is this?
Photoshop
looks way to difficult to do lol
Just practice
Not really
Thank you
