Brian made an exemplary impression in every movie he made no matter how big or small the part.He brought a credibility to each role he played that made you either love or hate the character & for this he will never be forgotten.R.I.P big guy.
Dennehy was a repeated pathological stollen valor offender. www.google.com/amp/s/www.denverpost.com/2010/01/26/military-lies-are-harmful-to-actual-veterans/amp/
He showed up in so much that I watched growing up, and he was always a pleasure to watch. I was just thinking about him the other day. I'll miss you, Mr. Dennehy.
I wished I had met BRIAN DENNEHY. I watched several of HIS movies. One great ACTOR. I have met several ACTORS, ACTRESSES. Our deceased JAMES DRURY( The Virginian), TERRY O' QUEEN, JOHN CALLAHAN (ALL MY CHILDREN), RENEE RUSSO, KENNY RODGERS, etc.
David Gilmour apparently you aren’t smart enough to realize that actors live on the same planet as everyone else... and some of us bump into them on occasion.
Oh Vin, I am so jealous. It was my dream to meet my all time favourite actor. Im Australian though, so it was a bit hard to ever met him from over here. I cried myself to sleep when I heard he died. I’m only 52 but I cried so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Lucky you, I bet he was lovely.
I didn't realize he was so hilarious. Can you imagine having him at a dinner party? All the stories he must have had, he worked with everybody. What a great guest.
Some people inspire fond association the moment they appear in a scene. In his case, every scene he was even in, possibly, even playing a bad guy/sleaze. A gifted individual.
He looked massive when he sat in the guest chair. What a great actor. Watch him in the movie “Belly of an Architect”; a somewhat strange film but it was his very best performance.
A great actor!! So many wonderful movies to his credit He looks like he would of been the life of the party where ever he went!! RIP Brian, your memory lives on through your movies.
You can tell that David appreciated Brian's sarcastic sense of humour. He was a funny, likeable and charismatic guy. He always reminded me of actor, Tom Atkins. RIP Brian.
RIP BD - one in a million. Time to re-watch F/X. Good lord he had great comedic delivery. All these old guys were put out to pasture WAY too soon. The only thing I like about Tarantino was his trend to save these actors.
One of the great character actors IMO. Looks like he was in the middle of shooting the movie F/X per the mustache that he's rocking here. He will be missed.
Guys just a heads up: If you want to see 9 mins of pure greatness watch Wilford Brimley on Craig Furguson 11/23/11 ...If I knew how to link I would...perhaps someone could do it and put a comment below mine with the link...(many thanks)
Thx for the upload Don. Brian was awesome, I almost had forgot all about this man. Unfortunately this kind of guest shows Lettermans worse side. Dave is a very poor straight man and its a bit painful to watch. Dave wants to be the center of the laughs and the jokes. Dave is of course great at that, but when a very funny guest takes a lot of space, David cant handle it like Carson did in a masterful way.
Don, do you have the one where Letterman dared an SUNY student to eat a Taco Bell chalupa and all of a sudden blood came gushing in, but it was staged?
@@dongiller - I would love to see the Inventor's Convention. I think there were 2 or 3 episodes. I'll never forget the asian inventor with the alarmed briefcase, "This man must be chased!". At least that's how I remember it.
Brian explained on a Canadian interview actors have three levels: who is Brian Donnehy?, GET ME B.D., get me a YOUNGER B.D., and finally, WHO is Brian Dennehey???

Godspeed Brian. Thank you for many years of entertaining us. Rest in Peace
Rest in Peace, Brian. From First Blood to Cocoon to, for my generation, Tommy Boy, you will truly be missed.

Is anyone alive? Good lord!
Brian dennehy very sexy.
I LIVE IN SPAIN (CEUTA) ON THE NORH ON. AFIRCA. I ADORE YOU. VERY WEL ACTOR AND VERY SEXY
Love these old clips. They're such a blast from the past that would otherwise be lost 💚
He showed up in so much that I watched growing up, and he was always a pleasure to watch. I was just thinking about him the other day. I'll miss you, Mr. Dennehy.
Thanks, Don. Brian could act. Some very memorable roles.
He did a series called Birdland. He has always been one of my favorite actors. RIP
Can’t believe this was his only appearance! He should’ve been a regular
Yea. He's too busy acting. LOL 183 movie and tv credits.
Two Tony wins on top of that.
femgoo a lot of top actors were real busy but still made many appearances on Letterman’s show or Johnny Carson’s and even Jay Leno
"What she really wants to be is a waitress!" LOL
A truly brilliant actor.
Missing Brian already, lovely lovely guy, my whole childhood in movies watching Brian...
Brian Dennehy was great in *everything* , including talk shows and interviews.
He was awesome. I met him twice. I worked with his niece. What a charmer. RIP
I'm not surprised to hear he was that IRL.
Yea sure liar everyone retard lies on here

Thank you don, you're always so fast with these.
He was a fine actor.
What a personality on this guy. Wish he was on more.
Thanks David!
Cool guy he had some good zingers good at telling jokes with a straight face RIP Brian I loved your work
Always liked Brian Dennehy, he was always good in any movie I saw him in. He could play the good guy or the bad guy equally well.
Excellent actor.
I didn't realize he was so hilarious. Can you imagine having him at a dinner party? All the stories he must have had, he worked with everybody. What a great guest.
Except for the bondage, of course.

Like Wilford who he referenced. Or Slim. Or Scatman. To me, heroes all.
He was wonderful actor! R.I.P., Brian!
Love this guy......
He will always be my FAVORITE ACTOR !! 💙💐 I loved him in the Lion out of Africa. 🦁
He looked massive when he sat in the guest chair. What a great actor. Watch him in the movie “Belly of an Architect”; a somewhat strange film but it was his very best performance.
Anyone who claims to not be jealous of that moustache is a damn liar.
2001 Monolithic
Some of us have better...

Very underrated actor
Geez, I didn't realize how funny Brian Dennehy was. Such a great actor, too. RIP.
RIP
Great jacket!

Best actor ever

Well now I;m intrigued to see that Tahnee Welch interview. She carried on btw, and even appeared in the Cocoon sequel.
where I get my bad news from
RIP Brian - thanks for your service in Vietnam
To raise the human consciousness can come from multiple arenas. Thanks Brian.

@Felipe M thank you kindly.
“Because what she really wants to do is be a waitress.”
funny
His moustache for FX.
Definitely filming F/X at the time. This interview was from June 1985, and F/X was filmed from April - July 1985.
Thx for the upload Don.

Don did you put the interview with Brimley on here too?? Now that was even better than this.
I haven’t.
@@dongillerit is the craig furguson 11/23/11 9 min clip...please look it up.
I loved him as a bullying sheriff in First blood. Took a bath this week ?
Why is the movie clip edited out?
Nobody reads my descriptions.
Don Giller sorry. Need coffee.
He has the same accent as George Costanza.
Don, do you have the one where Letterman dared an SUNY student to eat a Taco Bell chalupa and all of a sudden blood came gushing in, but it was staged?
I have every show.

I wish Brian was In Rocky v playing Tommy Gunn father
Will Teasle

He stole that from Jack Elam.
it was funny at the time... yep
awesome benny hill
🤣🤣 🐜
Tahnee Welch had a good, not great, acting career; did get married a few years after Cocoon and its sequel, but that didn't last, either.
He pretended to be a Vietnam veteran, zero respect for him.
So what was his beef with that actress?? He sure "outed" her.
@Particle Man ahhh I see. I remember that being a pretty good movie too.
