The scent of that soap takes me back to my first foreign holiday as a lad of 8. I went to Majorca with my grandparents, and the soap makes me recall the sun cream and beautifuly bronzed and topless ladies😊😊😊😊

The soap was stunning. I know the CK6 soap is more expensive but it is really good, mind you their ordinary soap is certainly not ordinary!

Great shave Mark the soap looked great, I have a Chubby 2 Manchurian which is Simpson fan hybrid it’s extremely dense and has a lot of backbone..once broken in it’s honestly a fantastic brush very luxurious..if you’re new fanchurian is anything like it might take a while to get there but it’s well worth it so soft it’s like a cushiony wall of badger hair enjoy mate ! A nice shave with a nice soap. PAA soaps produce huge amounts of thick and creamy lather. Now you can do a one-on-one comparison between the Fatboy and the Fatguy thanks to the generosity of Scott. Best wishes for him to get well soon.
I have a confession to make. The Fatguy won't go back together quite as easily as it came apart 🤩 Ho hum.

Hi Mark, That box could be scanned into a computer and the repair made on screen then 3D print the missing piece, it can then be glued onto the original case. I don’t know how cost effective that would be though.

Thank you Mark very nice and relaxing to see one of your videos. I have been gone for awhile just life and taking care of family. I ordered that soap, payment went threw then the place I buy my soaps emailed me back apologizing and saying it was out of stock. O ordered PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum CK6 instead and to be honest am disappointed because in the scent profile it said NO Clove that is the only reason I got it, I tried it a few times and there is clove :( Still a great performing soap. Beautiful Fat Boy I have always wanted one but ones on Ebay I found were priced too high for me but I am sure I will find one for decent price. They sure did it right back then when they made razors. Take care and I will do my best to watch your videos often as I can, also rejoining your Facebook group :)
Hi Sean, it's always good to 'see' you, no matter how often that might be. That is a real shame about the soap, I think I would have asked for a refund. I am going to try a Bay Rum, when I start the Captains Choice mini series. I know I probably won't like it and I think it is the cloves that I don't like but I will put it to the test and take one for the team 🤩

Alright Scott in Alabama, I hope you feel better soon and quickly recover from whatever ails you.
#2. Alright Mark in England, my approach to restoring the case is down a completely different path. You have an almost intact plastic box which you can trace the outline of from various angles. This would allow you to make a paper pattern that would be an exact fit to the missing piece. Next, I would not use anything more exotic than the plastic from a 2 Liter soda(soft drink) bottle to make the replacement panel. That sort of plastic is very flexible and can be cut to fit almost any shape. The last thing(construction wise), would be to color it. You could use black lacquer or any number of color match paints to make the panel look the same. The absolute final aspect would be to attach the replacement panel and that could be simply done by attaching a narrow plastic or even cloth strip behind the panel and adhering it to the backside interior of the case.
Thank you, Keith. you are a fellow that think outside the box and comes up with some good suggestions. I will try this or a piece of similar plastic from some supermarket packaging or the like, I may be able to get an already folded edge. I'm going to look into this. Thank you mate.

Just been watching geofatboy doing a sit down shave holding a hand held mirror and using a tub of water. Thought you might be up to a challenge and do a sit down shave video.

I get my best shaves by melting butter in my microwave, splash it on my face then shave with my rusty trusty straight razor I found in the parking lot one day

It actually did mate, ten minutes and it was all gone. It was a good shave. Love that soap! I think it'll be very economical.

I apologise for not actually letting you know that the Martin De Candre Nature sample arrived, but it did - so thank you very much. An interesting scent and soap indeed! They really could work on the packaging though 😂 from the paper to the brush is really precarious at best. If it gets too wet it starts tearing.
Truthfully, I had to discard most of it because it was practically unusable... but I did use it once and it was nice! Nice fougere-y scent and good performance 💯

Regarding the moulding. My wife uses some special silicone for her art projects. Afterwards she fills the mould with resin. This might also work for your application. We can talk later about in case this is something you would like to consider.

Now that silicone sounds just the job, Sven. What is it called, mate? The thing with creating a mould is that it will exactly re-create the slightly jagged edges, so the finished piece will be an exact fit.
It’s called Wagnersil Premium 22N pink. It‘s a premium silicone for making high precision molds e.g. for dental applications.
It’s not that cheap but you might get a small batch for a reasonable price. If not Maike would be happy give you some of it which I would send to you. Just let me know
I found a dental putty used to make mouth guards for martial arts. It is quite cheap so I may try that. I can buy enough for two mouth guards, for about £9.
A bay rum cocktail 🍸, sounds nice. That is a nice looking Fatboy Mark. Never ever let go of it.
Maybe a 3D printer could help you out regarding your case Mark.
From your reaction I would say that you prefer the Fatboy over the Fatguy
I definitely prefer the boy over the guy. The weight just feels perfect for the razor; and I like the shave; and it's 62 years old and going strong. This one has never been re-plated and still looks good. Bloody brilliant.

I've just received a pearl flexi version 3 Definately an improvement on the other versions. I personally think it's better than the fatboy.

I record on an iPad. One time I was recording front instead of back ( I stand with the back toward me because of better resolution.) had the intro and basic details about the product done then reviewed it and it was just me talking and the video recording a window 😆😆😆 I was so mad

Well, Jim. I do love my Fatboy, which is my recent favourite. The Fat Handled Tech is another favourite: the Techs are very popular but an American Fat Handled Tech is a lovely mild shave. You might also try a 1940's or 1950's Super Speed. Have a look at mr-razor.com 🤩
