That's a beautiful brush from Runeman, i have a brush and a shaving bowl from him as well.
My brush from Runeman is called "Blue Ice " and the handle is made of Neolithic 8000yr old Oak, and the bowl is the Dragonscale deluxe Lathermaster.
Oh, by the way... I recently bought a brush from AP Shave Co as well, with the Pure Bliss knot, and i like it very much.

Hi Mark! Update on the Pure Bliss knot; it’s awesome too! A couple weeks ago, I ordered a 24 & a 26 mm Pure Bliss knot along with a Scratch & Dent Red & Clear 24-26mm handle and a Whipped Dog Tall Handle in Amber.
I received them last Friday and finally had the time to glue them up yesterday. I put the 24mm Pure Bliss in the Amber Whipped Dog handle and the 26mm in the AP Red & Clear. I set the loft at 54mm for both, which, for me is a good combo of backbone and flow-through.
However, I’m a 100% bowl latherer and I don’t have a lot of patience for making the lather, so I prefer bulb knots and stiffer backbone, I paint the lather on after whipping it up, (I never splay the brush and work a lather up on my face).
Anyway, I whipped up a test lather with both brushes today and they currently remind me of a G5A/EVO knot, which is my favorite knot! I guess the tips will soften after 4-5 shaves, but I already love them! They do seem to retain water a little better than the G5 knots, although not significantly,(I didn’t use much less water in my lather, but a bit). What I did notice, is the lather gets creamier quicker, which I believe is also due to better water retention. They also dry very quickly, like a G5B. Additionally, they look great, pictures don’t them justice!
So, IMHO, the Pure Bliss knots are every bit as good, if not a little better at lathering than the G5 knots.
I’ll report back again after I spend more time with them.

Thank you, James. I ordered a Pure Bliss knot as soon as I read you comment. I'm going to order a few more knots soon. I got the Titanium knot in a scratch and dent handle, I let Andrew set this one. I'm rather enamoured with my Muhle STF knot. Very soft, with just a little backbone. I haven't measured the height yet, as it was set by Rune but it looks high. Cheers
@@FriendshipShaving Mark, that’s awesome! I bought a scratch and dent handle and a standard Independent knot a while back and I had Andrew set at 50mm. I wound up not liking that brush and sold it. I think that’s too deep of a loft for that knot, it didn’t seem to want to release the lather and it had terrible flow-through, IMO. The man I sold it to loves it though.
I just glued up the 24mm UHD version
the other day, I set the loft at 56mm and it performs much better! It loads and whips up a lather much faster, plus it has way better flow-through and releases lather. I was originally trying to replicate a Simpson brush, but then found this knot does much better at a higher loft. The difference is night & day!

Good win Mark, RuneMan makes some lovely looking gear and would love to get some at some stage. That Muhle STF knot is reportedly very nice. Beautiful gear in the giveaway. It's a bit disappointing that Acqua Di Parma use a lot of plastic in their packaging for a posh brand. I quite like setting the AP Shave co Synbad quite high as well and it's one of my favourite knots. Saw Paul the Fox using MMGP soaps, looks very good quality. Take care brother👌😎👌
As you saw, mate I was gutted not to have a glass bottle - tight bastards 😂 So, I bought it on eBay, thinking it was a glass bottle and it turned out I payed just the same as it would have cost me in the shop, and I would never have bought it had I realised. Buyer beware! 😁 To be honest all these new knots that I'm trying are going to have to be good to beat the Synbad and faux horse, which is almost identical. Take care buddy.👍

Giveaway. The Acqua di Palma shaving soap is great. The after shave balm does, indeed, come in a very nice bottle. I have both soap and balm. I believe that the emulation is a completely different product, but I've never tried it. As you say, it's incredibly posh. I've posted a pic on Facebook just to make you jealous :D
It did make me jealous! But, there is a tale to tell about my experience with the Acqua di Parma shaving soap. I've had a 'whole body', allergic reaction to the soap! I'm still in a little bit of a state! There'll be a video 😁 So, in hindsight Jim, you are welcome to your posh stuff 😂
