iPhone SE (2022) Drop Test: You’ll Want to Get a Case 😬

- Apple’s 2022 iPhone SE uses the same glass as the back of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12. Perhaps it should have gone with Ceramic Shield instead.
Upon learning of the results of our test, an Apple spokesperson commented “iPhone SE offers amazing durability and is protected by the toughest glass in a smartphone on the front and back. All models have gone through rigorous real-world testing and are designed to be durable, but not indestructible. If anyone is concerned about dropping their iPhone and damaging it, we suggest using one of the many beautiful cases available to protect iPhone.”

"Glass is glass. And glass breaks." - Bald smartphone man
Said by the legend ‘Jerryrig’
It’s like Steve’s jobs famous quote “And one More Thing.”
That’s mkbhd’s quote
@@MrpuckxzBOTH IDK
When apple says toughest glass I think they mean by scratching and stuffs like marks from sand etc. At the end of the day glass will always break no matter what it’s common sense which people lack these days sadly
The stronger something is the more brittle it becomes.
But they can just say more scratch-resistant and not durable. I think the sentence 'most toughtest and durable glass on iphone yet' is just too much as people might take the wrong message like iphone can withstand hard fall. This is my opinions lol.
I agree The added insult at the end was kinda unnecessary though
I wonder what his neighbors are thinking seeing him drop all these things...especially at the end.
I like the shoes mate. Thanks for testing the toughest glass on se. Considering buying this thanks.
Remember, this is on an outdoor sidewalk, so there is small rocks and stuff. This isn’t like other drop tests that are on perfectly clean concrete. There isn’t an easy way to standardize this type of drop test, but it does a better job of showing real world drops.
Why defend apple are they paying you. Apple is over priced pieces of crap. 🤣
@@johnblaws8133 Apple is no more expensive than Samsung?! Yes it’s all overpriced. But I’m just making the point that not all drop tests are created equal.
@@johnblaws8133 again, you blind ‘Techkies’ calling iPhones overpriced, but the real overpriced ‘BANG FOR BUCK ANDROIDS’ costs about the same Or more.
@@cheah3228 he deleted his comment 😂
@@cheah3228 eeeh like I got a a53 at sale for 219$ and I can't find a se 3 for under 350$ so I dunno.
We still doing these drop tests in 2022 phone glass always breaks when dropped on concrete from a height .
Blues clues?
To me this phone never had tough glass in the first place it’s definitely because of the old design with the round edges Apple could have at least change the design make sure you have a case on this one people
Change in design are u kidding me? That would cost them money and then it would cost R&D, New parts new orders. Not to mention it would potentially compete with their own products like iphone 11 (not even mentioning 12 here). All of this ultimately affecting their profits. So its big NO!
@@mutchlouis9707 Yae Yae Yae this made me go from the se (2gen) to the iPhone 13pro like literally the design was a hit back then and Yae it’s working for people who wants a iPhone now but eventually they will have to change it getting a lil old in the tooth and trust me they have the money ig will have to wait and see huh buddy 🤣🤣🤣😎
@@Shaqshaq_pov so you do agree that apple strategy of dragging you from iphone se to buy a pro model worked ?
Dude, you are Breaking Tim's heart every time you leave the phone. 😂
There’s something shady, I don’t think it’s the new SE, it might be the SE 2020, we didn’t see the box properly
nope just that the se 3 is the same glass as on the see 2020 stop being such a apple sheep they did not add durability to the se3 I have tested my se 3 and se 2 at home and they both did the same, cracked and scrathed as easy!
@@karlsse ok I got it, mister apple hater and android sheep
@@shalomvision7045 not at all I loved apple before but now they are greedy and terrible at designing stuff apple sheep I ain't on no side rn I hate both but Samsung gives me more freedom so that is what I am on rn!
Toughest glass is just a marketing gimmick why will they be unbreakable glass is a glass it breaks
Problem with these drop tests are nobody drop their phone face down like that. Should pull it out of your pocket and fiddle with it then drop it. True test.
Toast almost always falls buttered side down. This is just Murphy's law in action. When you drop a phone, the face will always get the worst of it.
I have witnessed accidental face down drops in real life. The result a shattered screen even on a smooth surface. It's not rocks/bumps that shatter the screen but the g-forces from a sudden deceleration.
Thank you
Using same phone to test drop on different heights is not fair right since each drop will cause some unnoticable internal crack in the glass already?
My thought as well. Though to be fair some people may drop their phone multiple times through ownership.
Nice Video
How could you do that to “Cookie Monster” at the end! Lol!
Okay, what are you going to do with the battered phone?
There seems to be small rocks/pebbles right where you dropped the phone the first time. My SE 2020 took drops like a champ until one day I dropped it and there were small rocks.
Mine fell from the same night as the first one not a single scratch! Mind you I just got the phone today hours ago 😅
Watching in my iPhone se 3, great information
Lol same
I had a 2020 version but I left it on the strut tower of my Buick when doing an oil change at night, I closed the hood and wondered where I left my phone 😂
did the phone survive lmao
Is this the toughest glass? I can't say for sure...then why this video?
Will a OtterBox case ans screen protector help the 2022 iPhone se mot to check?
Yes
I was worried about the rubber duck breaking! 😲
I always get a screen protector, case and insurance regardless of what the phone manufacture claims. A backup to the backup.
I bet you never drive a single mile over the speed limit either
Nice hat! 👍
I missed aluminium body
mine fell from my back pocket and it got very broken on the back
Sooooooo we're just gonna forget how the Droid Turbo and Turbo 2 was taking drops from drone flights and not cracking??
Because it had a plastic screen
Missed the bend test!
this is why i always at least put a slim clear case on it. 3 feet and phone was done.
Se version dont use ceramic shield. Please don't misinformation to people
I have never dropped my phone, my biggest concern is always scratches when i keep it in my pocket
Good for you.
Imagine he accidentally dropped it when he was talking about where he was dropping it from 😂
The front glass has gotta be running the iPhone 8s glass
a tela deveria ser do mesmo material da traseira
what’s the best case for the SE3?
Otterbox

"Toughest glass on a smartphone"
I finally know what an iPhone is good for!!! 😆
Great test, Apple disappoints again !
Its a se what you execpt
I accidentally dropped my SE gen 2 outside the case onto concrete, ruined the back glass. WTF strongest Glass on a phone APple? you got to be kidding me.
Android is better just saying
Our glass does not brake that easy
Get a good case
Wow, so the iPhone 12 mini is made better and can withstand drops.
Where is vanessa?
*This is crazy iPhone.*
Whelp
If it is a budget phone, they shouldn't be using glass or ceramic on the back when plastic works just fine.
Or aluminum
Plastic doesn’t work just fine though. It scratches so much easier than glass and/or ceramic, eventually hiding apple’s product symbol, and causing the device to look like trash, in turn making resale difficult
It’s not a budget phone it’s a premium phone. Budget phones cost 30 to 150 dollars
Worst phone ever had I dropped it from about waist height. First time I’ve ever dropped. It shattered the screen.
Toughest glass, let’s see… 🔨
Wish you could send me the iPhone so I can fix it and use it
This video is a waste of time. Most people would buy a case for their phone, so I am not sure why you are dropping the phone to make a point. And do you really expect the naked phone not to crack?
😀 😃 🙂 👍
Wow iPhone se 3 is more durable than se 2 I still got the se 2020
8:40 Oh you monster
Dropping an iPhone. And the screen cracked. WOW
Not for iphone 13
@@LoreLibrary-Official. Really? I own the 13 and I’m curious as to how durable it is should I have an accident with it, and wether I can get away with a slimmer profile case so I can put it in and pull it out of my pocket easier
My iPhone SE sat in a bucket of water all night and it was fine 😂 and I dropped it so many times without a case nor a screen protector I hate screen protectors

Apple said : The toughest glass in a smartphone
People: Really what a joke
What did you expect? the whole unbreakable glass marketing speech is lies and you should know it. it's your job.
"the toughest glass in a smartphone"
Apple -2022
My money don't jiggle jiggle. It folds
People are taking this test personal. I wonder why
It has to be dropped multi times for you to achieve your result. This test is not accurate measure of glass durability.
I guess apple tested their toughest glass dropping on bed
Gravity😒😒
Instead of breaking pliz send me that phone I'll take care of it
Oh my God sad
Looks like Gorilla glass 5 or 6
It doesn’t have the Ceramic Shield like the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. I’m not surprised with the results. I don’t know why anyone would buy that phone anyway. It’s garbage. Even if you want a super small phone, that’s what the iPhone 13 mini is for. The SE design is so old and it doesn’t even have mmWave 5G and the camera sucks.
This is a filthy embarrassment for Apple……
dont break phone *iOS*
Now you should seal it in the original box and sell it on Ebay as Brand New condition.
I am very disappointed. Anyway i have the iphone se 2022. I
stop bracken phones😡😡😡😡😡🥶
cheap and u get what u pay for 😅
Oof, yikes.
This OLD CLONE Phone is NOT Worth it !
lmao, i could drop my redmi all day long and it wouldnt get even a scratch.
I love this thumbnail. I want to see you test your child’s bicycle helmet next. Maybe by pushing them off a cliff into a rock quarry.
Three, two, one, if you buy any (expensive) phone, only an idiot would not, "three, two, one," buy a protective case!
Apple still making garbage phone.
no apple is the best compony
@@SamanthaDavis-ij8vh stop it. No, they are not.
Glass breaks? Who knew.
What is this, 2016?
Why are they still making drop test videos?

Greatest crash test😀✌️ Apple women is a big liar🤥
I think their using gorilla glasses
