Gordon Lim Ideally, you should have a case or placing the phone on a soft surface for it to absorb the vibration. Having the phone vibrating on a hard surface is harmful to its inner components.

Just bought the iPhone SE 2020. So I was waiting my case and screen protector to arrive that I ordered.
Had my iPhone SE 2020 on the table yesterday. Slid off at lunch, hit the metal bar, landed flat on the ground. Not one scratch on the case or screen. Impressive.
Still slipping it in the case and putting a screen protector on it. Did the same with my SE 2016. Thing was an absolute tank.

I can’t believe how good of a value the SE 2020 is. 450 bucks for the 128gb model has been amazing for me for the past week.
I'd tou even know anything about tech you'd know how bad value it is, small screen, only 64 gb default, Very old design, LCD screen, etc

They will both fall at same speed, but heavier phone has more energy.

@@MSJIMAGAS The weight of an iPhone SE is 113 Gram or 0.113 Kg. Using the formula of f = ma, The force that the phone creates is 0.113*9.807=1.108191 N.
The weight of an iPhone 11 pro max is 226 grams, or 0.226 Kg, Put that in the formula and you get 2.216382 N which is twice as much.

Pressure = force/area propotional to weight/area of screen. iPhone SE is 75 grams lighter but screen is not that small- making ratio smaller for SE so it is obvious.

If you believe in physics, momentum is the product of velocity (basically speed) and mass (basically weight). Since speed is basically the same for both devices (since acceleration due to gravity is constant for all things), the object with more weight hits the ground harder.
