@@johnervin8033 I moved to Cleveland just over a year ago. I’ve attended 4 Cleveland Orchestra performances since. For me, it is one of the most valuable aspects of living here.
I am glad you made a new recording of the same piece, you were way more consistent tempowise, made less mistakes, and understood the piece better than before. Congrats, pls keep on posting new things!
This means so much to me. I will try to post something every week. The issue I’m running into right now is the harpsichord in my room (different harpsichord) needs to be revoiced completely before I can use it for any music videos. Revoicing is a huge project in itself because it determines how each key sounds by shaping the piece of crow feather that plucks the strings. I think I will start a technician playlist and make some videos on my process of revoicing. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this instrument until recently. It’s now my favorite instrument with accordion. What is your music background and how did you hear about harpsichord?
On this channel you will hear many more solo versions of baroque and modern songs. :) I'm doing this full time now and currently learning a more advanced video editor that allows me to edit both left and right audio. What is your favorite pieces/songs?
I'm so happy you released this! I was just watching your other solo version the other day. This one is so different and I appreciate nuance in the different parts that you emphasized in this performance.
This comment makes my day. I did make some intentional changes and I am so glad you notice them. My favorite changes are--- 3:42-3:55, slightly delaying the chords/ 4:51, holding that base note for as long as possible/ 4:55, ornamentation added. Please let me know if that sounds about right because if there was something else it may have been on accident xD.
@@broquemusician Yes, those are some of them. Like some of the others here, I really enjoyed you adding the trills you did. I also like that it seems more intentional in general. You are clearly making conscious choices to highlight certain sounds and I love it. It's so fun to hear it your way and catch certain passages that I often don't pay as much attention to.
