Homemade spaghetti pasta with

- Опубліковано 25 вер 2024
- Ingredients
255g flour
170g eggs
Method
1. Mix the flour and eggs in the bowl lift mixer until a dough forms using the paddle attachment.
2. Knead the dough for a few minutes using the dough hook until it becomes smooth. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
3. Using KitchenAid’s pasta attachment, roll out your pasta a few times starting at the thickest setting and drop it down by one setting each time until you get to number 3.
4. Then change to the spaghetti roller attachment and feed your dough through it.
5. Once it’s cut, dust it lightly in flour and store it in the fridge uncovered until you’re ready to cook it.
You know you have really truly made it when you get to partner up with kitchen aid themselves 😮
They're not that expensive lol. Tell this noob Andy to get the extruder attachments
I've had mine over 20 years. Never made pasta.

Was thinking same!👍
This machine truly was a game-changer when making fresh pasta. By hand is good when you want a workout beforehand haha
Beforehand? Pretty sure the word you're looking for is duringhand
I make pasta by hand sometime (by-weekly) and yes it's a fucking workout the first time I did it, it was torture
Please what is the name of the machine?
I am so glad you said this... needed the validation that using my kitchen aid wasn't a bad thing...

Andy’s truly my favourite internet cook - no arrogance, drama or overhyping - just a sincere, dedicated and driven cook who does it because he enjoys it !!
I used to be the same way until I respectfully corrected him on a recipe he was definitely making incorrectly and he didn't like that at all. I got a : "I know more about cooking than anybody else" response and it was then I lost respect for him. Andy apparently forgot that in culinary arts the more you learn the more you realize how little you know. In the kitchen even the most proficient and experienced chef can learn something new from even the dishwasher. Did you hear that Andy?
@@randmayfield5695what dish did you correct him on? Also I saw him tried fixing crispy rice thing like 3 times already so I didnt think he would have that "i know better" attitude.
@@Crustee0 His 'short' on tenderizing meat using baking soda. He took my suggestion as a criticism and consequently wasn't interested in why he was wrong. If I make a suggestion I have the science and technique to backup my claim. I am a retired culinary arts instructor who spends his time traveling around the world learning new things and spending the time to master the culinary specialties that interest me. I hold no I'll feelings other than just being surprised that Andy didn't hear my rational out.
💯 exactly
@randmayfield5695 I wouldn't take it personally with the amount of keyboard warriors and all that these days his probably got his youtube defence up 😂😂 ..
Chef, I'd like to thank you for continuing to include the recipe with your video shorts, instead of hold us hostage and having to buy your book.
For this reason I'll be buying 3 of your new shiny books, 1 for myself and the others for friends who would rather creat a meal for guests than dining out.
THANKS!
Oh I can’t find the recipe 😣 can you please tell me where I can find it? Thank you!
@@annanguyen9973 At the top right of the video you'll find 3 vertical dots, click that and it will open a link to the description and his recipes are there. Good cooking and have fun.
This makes me want to try making pasta from scratch
Tried 5 times, every time it was a disaster. Had a manual pasta machine though. But try it on your own.
I went through a little phase of making my own a couple of years back. Tbh I was a bit blown away by how delicious fresh made pasta is.
@@katesmith8424haven't tasted fresh pasta, except from a specialty resto. What I'm more concerned about is the plain flour instead of durum wheat or those more fibrous pasta from Italy.
@@asperneto I'm no expert but I do remember experimenting with different flours, including "00" flour and semolina. I watched a few UA-cam tutorials and went from there.
@@BenBeteAs in one of those... Put all the ingredients into the machine. It mixes it around and then shoots out the dough as a shape? Like the Philips?
I usually look down on ads.
However, this stand mixer and the pasta attachments are genuinely worth every penny for the home cook. Extremely well made, great kitchen investment.
Got my first stand mixer 8 years ago when I met my wife. it was love at first knead!
A friend in knead is a friend indeed afterall.
I love using it to make homemade pasta. Honestly having it has eliminated a ton of shopping I had to do when it comes to baked goods in general. Now if only I could get up the courage to start a mini garden (green thumb I have not)
That pasta looks yummy 😍😋
Chef. I have been a self taught chef/cook most of my life. If I ever come out to your neck of the woods. I would love the honor and the privilege of working with you for a few days if that would be ok. I believe working in kitchens gives you the best education. You have been an inspiration to me for a long time. And I wanna say thank you.
I'm full Navajo and my cousin uses the Kitchen Aid for making our traditional fry bread. Turns out just as good as our Auntie's & Grandma's, but 🤫😉💕
Love the way the dough hook kneads bread!❤🎉
Andy, we love you and your family and friends in your videos.
I’m old school when it comes to pasta making. There’s something incredibly cathartic about needing your own dough. It’s my happy place.
I hated that part… I love using the KA to knock out the dough and cut pasta.
Kneading
I literally am enjoying my first bowl EVER of fresh homemade pasta, and I have to say the same! I was upset when I started, and by the time I was finished I was happy & hungry! 😂😂😂 I didn't use my pasta machine yet because I was making pasta for 1. But I will use my machine when I make family size portions tomorrow!🎉
@@philipcolbert2069 goddammit! You got me dude
@@sapphirejones7302 that’s awesome! Anytime people want to learn and truly enjoy cooking I’m so happy. Plus, isn’t that literally what food is all about?
Can't wait for the next video!
Have seen old school grandma types dough up roll out, and cut ribbons of pasta by hand, sometimes a couple of times a week. Extraordinary people.
Wow spaghetti from scratch! Looks beautiful. I find it a pain to clean the pasta machine attachments for cutting the pasta soo I don’t make it often 😢.
Still waiting on the Cantonese family style dinner for Heun Wah please chef!
Looking forward to when Andy makes your dish!!
If you have any canned air that works great
You can also sprinkler flour all over the pasta roller. Keeps the mess dry so you can blow it away and then just run water through it.
Normally I don't like sponsored content that's forced, but every chef I've ever known has at least 2 of these and they're just so versatile and useful both commercially and at home
Looking forward to Part 2!
Andy’s the just the best! He makes cooking fun and easy!!
"6.6 liter bowl"
Chef Andy got the big block.
LSAndy
Perfect . Love fresh pasta! ❤️
Andy you’re an amazing chef but the skill I admire in you the most is the way you rip cling wrap without starting a war with it 😂🙌🏻
I have a similar one from a different company but oh my GOD my life without it??? never. I recntly started baking as a hobby and ended up using it (it belonged to my mother before she passed) and it completely changed my whole life.
Good to see the excitement and glee of using a new tool isn't lost even to the pros. It's always so much fun getting a new toy to play with. 😊
I love the Mat black kitchen aid
God I love my stand mixer so much, and they're so versatile. I don't need a new one but I do need that pasta attachment 😅
I have been researching about it, and was 1 foot in and 1 foot out, should I get it should I not, not I will definitely get it
Sticky toffee pudding for Emmanuel please!
Yes please, so delicious especially with homeade icecream, i use vanillia custard to churn with, its amazing
mmmmm
Use early gray tea and mollases sugar, it makes it so rich and dark
yes i really want andy to make it, i havent tried early gray, that interesting?
I bought a hand cranked pasta roller. After a few months i was developing popeye arms rollingvfrwsh pasta with the grandkiddos!
For Christmas that year my hubby bought me the roller and 2 cutter blades for my big 6qt kitchenaid mixer. We use them all the time. I would like to buy more cutter sets but off! Expensive.
I have 2 hand cranked machines that i take to our fun cooking get togethers with my friends. They love making pasta and ravioli with them.
You've got to buy some kansui(spelling here its an alkolid water for making springy ramen noodles. Or try baking some baking soda to get the right consistancy)and make ramen noodles.
I really enjoy making pasta by hand as i find it therapeutic.
Ive slowly been watching the 0adta grannies series on UA-cam and learning to make hand formed pasta. The knife trick to making orhcetti(soelling again sorry)or little ears is very hard to master
I personally think that there are better machines than kitchen aid, we have one at home and it is way to heavy.
It's heavy BECAUSE it is the better machine smh....It isn't made out of cheap plastic.
So pleased that you have this endorsement. You have built a lot of trust with your videos and this endorsement is trustworthy.
Awesome Andy Awesome !!
I need one of these in my life
Just my favorite videos!!!
That matte black is awesome! Love it!
i really want a kitchen aid! anyways, great video again today
Par-stah ❤️
the attachment i never knew i NEEDED - heading to amazon, RIGHT NOW
Get in there, KitchenAid!
Beats getting out tge guitarra lot less mess. And yes the kitchen aid is awesome. I grew up making homemade made pasta and dough the flour everywhere.
I already had a manual pasta machine before I got my KitchenAid, but I love both!
Chefs have the best toys. That machine is a game changer and I know that the pasta tastes much better. Thanks for the pasta making video.
Oh just get a bosch and feel the pure piwer of that machine. I loved kitchen aid for years, but as a mom who makes food in large batches, i needed something that had more power. Truly love my new machine
Awesome stuff. Thanks Andy
Kneading is so enjoyable. I used to make pasta on a Sunday morning before the family woke up while I was having my morning coffee. It is wonderfully meditative ❤
WHAT!? That’s awesome
INCREDIBLE!!
Ive been wanting one for years
Kitchen aid is beyond amazing but I'd rather not sell my soul, left arm, right leg, first born child and the will to live for one 😭😭😭
Amezing work very well beautiful machine
I bought that machine and several of its attachments for my son for his birthday and he and is wife love it, especially for making homemade pasta.
I need one of those. 😆
Wow amazing
Gotta get me one of those haha 😜
Wow very nice ❤
Love the black Broski. Wearing it well.
Feels like you’re channeling the Golden Balance a little
Chef you are brilliant!
nice, will definitely try this sooner
Wow awesome
I'm sorry to be that guy, but I'm italian and I agree kn the fact that we have too many names for pasta shapes. Spaghetti doesn't have eggs in it and it's made with semolina flour. The ones you've made are tagliolini ☺️ try them with a fish sauce called "allo scoglio", it has tomato sauce, mussels and other clams and fish... Very delicious
Amazing tool.😮
I have my grandmas 40 year old kitchen aid ☺️ I love it!
God must be nice to be sponsored by kitchen aid
I wanna start now..wow so easy just by watching 😊
Love this! I started making my own this last year and it really is so easy with my Kitchen Aid and now I can’t go back 🍝
Yes as a chef my kitchen aid mixer is my fave appliance. She works harder than me.
💯
Nice! Boom!
I love this machine
Oh i love it too that machine chef 😮😍
I love that your kitchen aide mixer is black! I love the teal, red and black ones.
Really good and We Do Our Own style
beautiful sunshine pasta 🎉
Wow.. I didn't know kitchenaid can do that!
Imagine if Andy and Kain collabed! It would be awesomeeee
I don’t believe I’ve seen the 6.6! Is that the “Pro” model? You just know I’m not qualified to use that until AFTER I receive Chef’s cookbook ☺️. Then and only then will I be able to shine ✨. Congrats on the Kitchen Aid promo, Chef! You are definitely running with the Big Dogs! Much love to you and Babe!
Oh, Andy! Now I know why I need a pasta attachment for my KitchenAid!
wow wow
Love this!
Looks great 👍
I love dat machine and you too 🥰
My Kitchenaid mixer is my baby, I love it! Mine is your twin, but shiny. 😂
Wow it's so fantastic
Paaaaasta. Love it. Need me one of them. 🍝
Peking duck for chris pleaseee
Maashaallah
They are great machines.
I hope you get as famous as Gordon Ramsey Andy, you are an amazing chef!!!
I know this is an ad but I bought a KitchenAid and the attachments for pasta. It's worth it.
Amazing 🎉
A great machine! ❤
Wow!
ah my dream kitchen aid mixer, hope I can buy one soon 🥰
Chicken Tinaktak please chef. Love your videos, buying your cookbook soon!
I like Andy and I appreciate his tips, but Kitchen aide must have paid him a boatload for this.
My kitchen aid is one of my best friends in the kitchen. I use it for any baked goods that I make (cakes, breads, etc.) It works exceptionally well for shredding chicken too.
One of those with attachments is going to set you back over 1k if anyone is wondering 😂 but worth it 100%
Andy, luv your content, your recipes, but specially the way you cook, making it wholesome and simple. Please, make an ebook from your book. Brazil is waiting for it
good show!
I have the 6qt Pro. Her name is The Beast. I love it.
amazing machine
