I have the scale-sifter, the shredder-slicer, the citrus juicer, the sprilizer-slicer and the 3 piece pasta set. They are all used frequently and they are fantastic. I am blessed to have a bakers cabinet so all the accessories are handy and organized.
I would love to have a bakers cabinet. That is the one thing about having big kitchen appliances with attachments. However, I do love my KitchenAid mixer.
I have the ice cream maker and the meat grinder with sausage stuffer attachments. My grandkids love it when I make different flavoured ice cream and I've been making my own sausages and smoking them for years. Would love to get the 3 piece pasta roller set up but just to pricy for this senior. Will just have to do with my hand rolling set up.
KitchenAid Spiralizer, slicer & shredder. Love these especially when easy access to these attachments in my kitchen. The storage boxes are incredible yet large.
We recently replaced an old other brand mixer with a Kitchen Aid one. I always wanted a meat grinder and bought that attachment. After I grind the meat, I can then use the mixer to make meat balls. For all the other attachments, I have single use appliances for those. But if I had the KitchenAid sooner, I would have purchased those attachments. This mixer is a work horse.
Hi from Germany! I have got the stainless steel meat grinder attachment since last week and have been using it for making burger/ fishburger patties. Will use it for making own sausages too! What I like best, it is simple to attach to the mixer, easy to assemble and even easier to disassemble and clean. Very useful additional gadget for the kitchenaid.
The best external attachments. Are pasta/meat grinder/ sausage stuffer. And get the unit that is a 6 quart. If I’m not mistaken it’s one horse power. This is what I have and this is what I used in culinary school
Well done video! I have many of the attachments for my Kitchenaid mixer but it's helpful to remind me of all the power this excellent machine has. Thank you.
I have the KSMPRA trio of pasts rollers. I love fresh pasta and used to roll out my pasta and hand cute the pasta. The attachments sure make it all easier. I love it!
I have your #9 Food Prep Kit, It is fantastic, only problem encountered was that I dropped the food pusher onto my terrazzo floor and it exploded! I also have the meat grinder attachment and really like it for offering me control of what gets ground for burgers and such!
Thanks for the very helpful video. My favourite attachment is the pasta roller set. Followed by the slicer grater attachment. Then the spiralizer attachment. And I just purchased the “pasta press” attachment (fusilli, macaroni, etc), but have not yet used it. I hope to get the grinder sausage attachment soon.
The KitchenAid ice cream maker attachment has a 2-quart capacity. Many of the Standalone ice cream makers typically run 1 to 1½ quarts but I Cuisinart does offer a 2 qt Standalone model I also have the Citrus Juicer. I find the citrus juicer is more comfortable to use if you turn the mixer sideways so the speed lever is facing you as it's very awkward if you have the front of the machine facing you. Also the pulp strainer that comes with it fills up quickly if you're juicing a lot of citrus fruits. So you might want to consider leaving that off and just juicing you fruit first and then straining it with a sieve.
I don’t have a KitchenAid but an Instant stand mixer pro that can use kitchenaid attachment on it and just looking to see which attachments are available.
I have a Kitchenaid Pro series 600 and a Grain mill attachment. I won't use the grain mill any longer. I ran the wheat berries through 3 times to get a useable grind for bread flour which was recommended and although a slow process, with the slowest setting the grinding process severely overheated the mixer. The cost of the grain mill attachment was not inexpensive and I believe that repetitive use would burn out the motor or cause other problems. I've ground meats with meat grinding attachment and never had it overheat like it did with the grain mill. I'm reluctlant to try to sell it because I don't want to be responsible for damage to someone's mixer. So now it sits on a shelf in my basement.
The special "Pastry Hook" attachment (not shown here), is difficult & challenging to remove ! I was advised to cover it in a hot towel 10 - 15 minutes. 😳 Then follow up with a warm towel. It worked, but it's time consuming & annoying. Otherwise, happy 🤗
I've got the old meat grinder, old shredder/slicer, and pasta roller set. I tried the food processor, but it kept vibrating and stopping--somehow it disengaged itself all the time. I sent it back. The flex-edge beater is a good idea, but it tends to throw the ingredients out of the bowl (I think it was $25).
Ice Cream seasonal???, I eat it year round. I have the older ice cream bowl, the food processor with dice, the older (bulkier) slicer & shredder, the flex edge beater (and some 3rd party versions), bowl guards, and I recently bought the sifter+scale, which is nice that the scale can be used separately. I'm looking at getting the pasta attachment
I bought a shield which was supposed to stop dry ingredients from flying out. It did not fit the bowl on my mixer. When you go into the website there is nothing which will tell you if an attachment will fit your mixer. So I have not bought anything else. Th
What attachment do I use for mixing without overloading my mixer and blowing out the internal plastic drive gear! I made 2 loaves of wheat bread and drive failed. What mixer blade to use for mixing bread dough and rolls?
The Pasta attachment cost almost as much as the mixer! I'd have to live to be 100+ to recoup the cost, rather than paying for premium pasta. Same with the grain miller. Otherwise, the cheap plastic meat grinder works great, but have to watch out for overheating. Makes great cookies. My
I have the KitchenAid ice cream maker. Iʻm dissatisfied with it because I get soft-serve instead frozen ice cream. Even when I freeze the unit for two days, I still get south serve. Disappointing. My CuisineArt ice cream drum freezes the mixture in 30 minute, and itʻs not south serve.
How do you keep cheese slices from falling between the grater and housing? It shreds great, but there’s always a strip of cheese that doesn’t get shredded and I can’t figure out how to avoid it.
Have the food processor attachment. It sucks! It stops any time we try do anything more than very light stuff. Starts clicking! Then stops. My guess is that the gear simply does not have sufficient power. Even dicing anything more than onions is a problem.
I got one as a present. It doesn’t work for me or I am doing something wrong. For example it doesn’t beat eggs until they are white..Is it only for a large amount of cake mixture ?it looks powerful but it doesn’t work as a hand mixer works for me. What am I doing wrong ?

Not the worst though as I've gotten some really useless gadgets as gifts. My issue is I wanted to get rid of my stand alone food processor to consolidate and free up cabinet space. This attachment with the box of accessories takes up more space as I store the blades in the stand alone, so it's only the unit itself. It is so hard to clean and very limited in functionality it has now made me against buying any other attachments. It's too slow to be useful as a food processor. It made a mess out of the tomatoes. In reality they don't say you can put the cutting blades in the dishwasher, so using a regular knife is so much quicker in the long run when cleaning is factored in.
