I'm sort of on the fence regarding Demayo. I know you say in Damayo we trust, but for me his previous stuff with The Witcher is confusing to me. He says theother writers hated the source material.. which DOES seem to be true, but he also is the one that wanted Eskel to be killed off. -which is one of the most hated parts of the show as it was way off from the source material. He did also write the Strigga episode though, which is probably one of the best episodes. So I don't know. That being said most of the stuff he has done that I know of I haven't really been a fan. Those things he has done that I have liked though, I really liked. Those other writers from The Witcher have since come out and said he was an abusive asshole. If that is true it could have something to do with why Disney got rid of him the way the did (before the premier). I mean, there has to be a good reason. I realize that he was kind to the power of x-men familia but that doesn't really mean we know him. I've known horrible people that seemed like the kindest people. So who knows. I think sometimes vision can become clouded. I'll wait to see what comes out... IF anything comes out.
Twitter is a cesspool of negativity and misery and the hate he was getting for nothing prior to this is wild. as a gay hispanic man I was really rooting for him and them firing him abruptly like this and with no reason given to the public after putting in so much work to make X-Men 97 happen is a huge red flag for me. I’m gonna wait it out and if they release why he was fired and it’s some bs, as much as it’ll pain me, I’m probably not gonna watch

Given the timing of the announcement (ONE DAY before the premiere?!), provocative headline (FIRED... not "creative differences"), and lack of any real reason being cited, it all comes across as very publicly punitive. There were so many ways to handle this without raising alarm bells. Quietly let him go and release a statement wishing him well in his future endeavors a few weeks into the season. Say that after steering the ship for two seasons, it was time to move in a different direction. Show-runners change all the time, we're used to that. Maybe it raises an eyebrow at most. But this... you almost have to TRY to commit such a PR blunder. Which makes me think it isn't a blunder at all, but very calculated messaging. For this story to dominate the headlines going into the premiere makes me think Disney is gearing up for some serious damage control. As if they are anticipating, for whatever reason, a DISASTROUS reception. With this sort of performative signaling to acknowledge and get ahead of that. "Don't worry fans, we kicked the guy who ruined the X-Men out on his ass, remember?!" I'm far from being one of the doomsayers and have been greatly anticipating the series... but man, talk about a poisoned chalice!
This is sad. I wonder how much social media played into him being fired, like someone possibly contorting something he may have said but we have no idea. Im definitely watching the show.
Disney is so inclusive in their media I’m from the south finding myself defending that aspect a lot, There better a goddamn good reason for this firing. Quite frankly the hypocrisy of Disney hear makes me fucking sick I’ve left the Star wars fandom recently and marvel comics is my pop culture rock, the movies are crazy bad now anyways im pissed
All im asking for is stability at Marvel is that too much to ask
