You want the hole to be bigger than the screw in the counter bases. A #10 screw is 3/16" wide, so you'll want a hole a little wider than that in the corner blocks -- so go with 3/8"
Too bad these rejects have varying thicknesses between each piece. Bought a 122" and 50" to make up my 13'6" counter and the 122" was about a sixteenth less thick than the 50", which was exactly 1.5". Lol

ok I use WATCO....its the best around...easy to use....they make Butcher Block and Teak...etc..Lowes and Home Depot carry it
