- This week I'm working on my office remodel and I'm starting with the cabinet built-ins! I started with the bases building and installing them from scratch. Follow along to see the rest of the project unfold

The wood floor below the laminate is so beautiful.
The laminate above the wood floor is gorgeous 😊
@strjourneys7919 I think some of us live and die for real craftsmanship, and some live and die for plasticship.
@@hnc2155 o...k ?
@@strjourneys7919 ok
@@hnc2155laminate is just more practical, much easier to maintain then solid wood and to floor that room in laminate probably cost less then half then getting the floors refinished, pets…think about pets
The @ will let the future owners know all they need about why the hardwood was covered with plastic
What is there to know??
great job!
I like the idea of leaving notes behind.
It’s always fun to put a newspaper and photo or something that means to you in there with your sign that you built it
Lol you covered your hardwood floor to put in grey laminate 😂
Where is the build?
link to the rest?
My initials are tucked in many, many homes
Where’s the rest
Cover up the wood floor with cheap laminate. Brilliant. And don’t bother taking that tag and staple off the 2x4. I mean, who wants the frame to sit flush to the wall anyways. Well, it’s definitely DIY.
That is like taking a dump on the floor and then signing it.
❤❤❤❤
wow the floor under that laminate floor is beautiful why cover it
Do you pick through the lumber to get straight boards or do you just luck out?
When joining two pieces of 2x4 please dont hold the board in an area where the screw could accidentally come out.
If you level the toebord before you put on the cabinet it works better
How can I see the whole video??
Let’s see more of the floor underneath !
Lets...NOT!🤮
Soooo.....no finished build, no link to finished build?...cool
Is your username a reference to Deckard Cain from Diablo 2?
What’s the software to create the models? Thanks
This is a budget-friendly idea that looks high-end.
No it’s just wrong period
Is it necessary to have a drill to make this???
definitely don't use 2x4s use plywood
Why?
@@garrettp.5018 because they're not always square or smooth
@@garrettp.5018I’m a carpenter. Use whatever tf you want
@@mayberrysranch5156your a carpenter
@@mayberrysranch5156 plywood is better i don’t recommend 2x4s
Why Ryobi? Is it good?
Ryobi is great for what it costs, especially for projects around the house when you don't need the most powerful tools out there.
Its good enough for average customer use
It's typically rated as the number 1 brand consistently from various groups such as home depot or lowes over the last 2 decades. It's usually a back and forth between Ryobi and kobalt.
hmmm, you should've just used 3 x 2s instead of cutting down into the floor
What tool did you use to cut the flooring?
Multi tool
Oh my goodness why wouldn’t you just have the wood floors, redone and stained instead of covering them up with LVP. Hardwood floors are just so beautiful. I wish they still made houses like they used to because you would always find hardwood floors underneath carpeting, majority of the time and older homes. And they were just built so much better new houses these days I don’t care how customized you make it, the quality is not anywhere near the same but we pay hundreds of thousands more 😂😂
Do you have to cut off the laminate to put in cabinets?
no you do not
@scotianraider7412 it's floating planks, so yes, you do because they expand. She actually didn't cut enough, so they'll probably end up buckling over time.
Why would you have to cut out the flooring?
Maybe due to expansion. That's a floating floor isn't it?
She didn’t have to
@districtnerfco.8390 Yes she did have to, and she didn't even cut enough of it. When it expands her planks are gonna buckle.
@@Queue-NextUpsmh no it won’t
@mayberrysranch5156 lol ok. They require you to leave a quarter inch around the edges just for fun.
Why do you have crappy laminate on top of beautiful hardwood like no offense? I'm just thoroughly confused
What not to do in the first 2 seconds of the video is crazy🤦🏻♂️
anyone have a good app to use for 3d layout designs
You’re allowed to do whatever you want, but it’s wrong
Hardwood is way overrated
