This boss forced me to get good at the game haha. Good video mate, very similar approach to how I got him in the end. Just gotta get those full combo in to stagger!
Kinda a semi good way to do it but there’s a way better way. It relies on staggering them with light attacks, but NOT hitting him when he is down. You let your stamina go back up instead. When he gets up you repeat the three light attack combos. When you aren’t able to get 3 light attack combos off, THAT is when you immobilize them, and let stamina regain to full. Repeat, and when he is close enough to low health, use your heavy charged slam attack with 2-3 combo points. Can be done quickly, and at level 6 for the increased stamina nodes, with light attack nodes and heavy attack. Also you can use the stones you broke at 0:43 to stagger the boss. When he charges or leaps into them, he always staggers. Easy hits
My advice. Before attacking wait until he’s at the end of his walking cycle near the tunnel exit. Make sure his back is facing you. From there turn on red tails and start smacking him like crazy until he starts burning. By the time your power ends he should be on the floor. From here you smack him until he gets up. Should have a good chunk of health taken away from him. From there wait for his patterns and then attack when he’s open. Took me like 7 tries when I first booted up the game a month ago. Loving every minute of it
I am not very good at games like these, and I just ran into this dude and tried to beat him a few times, but got humbled to say the least. But man, I have barely started the game and it has me hooked like few before it. Can't wait to try again.
action rpg has never really been my flavour of games. never got into souls or elden ring but the publicity around this game was too hard to not ignore and just brought wukon. i've never been so frustrated and stressed from a game in years. i spent over half a day trying to kill this one guy and it was driving me to insanity. but the satisfaction and elation i got from winning is something i haven't felt in a very long time. its funny because ever since wandering wight, the bosses haven't been anywhere near as challenging but i'm just 30% through the game.
Yep Wandering Wight was surprisingly hard for the level. But yeah that's how these games get you, the hit you get from overcoming the challenging bosses hooks you
I was using the staff climb, but noticed it wasn’t working against him (or at least not for me) so I changed to the other heavy. I’d wait for him to attack, get some lights in, dodge all the way back (try and maintain as much distance during his attacks) and then when he begins to get close enough, I’d charge the rest of my heavy to stagger him. Then I’d light spam the hell out of him. Rinsed and repeated that until I beat him. Don’t forget to use your stun power
Bro, it's been like 10 years that I have spent time playing this sort of game and Im sooo happy with the graphics and gameplay, its beautiful, is so gorgeous that I spent yesterday exactly 9 hours to beat this bald mf, oh boy, I thought that being a good player in warzone translated to this, but the dodging ohhh boy, all the creatures are so awesome. Thank you for the video, it helped me understand the spells and all the little things.
These tips helped me: increase your stamina by 3 0r 4 points. Increase the dodging by two points (which is its max). You will need to dodge and this skill will help you to get far away out of his way quickly too. Lastly, and very important, use the Tiger Subduing Pellets, which increases the damage for a long duration. It’s perfect for getting him knocked down and it takes down his life faster when you immobilise him. Make sure to hide behind the big tree next to the bridge to restore your stamina and perhaps, take a drink for your health if it’s down. Wait until your immobilise skill builds back up and go at it again.
Resolute Counterflow on the smash stance tree only works like 20% of the time for some reason. As soon as I gave up on using that ability this fight got a lot easier. Has anyone figured out why that ability doesn't work like it supposed to?
I'm new to the Souls genre and I'm struggling an hour into this boss. I think my biggest weakness is that I spam dodge too much instead of working on learning his "tells" and dodging at the right time.
I have only four spark points. So what you're saying is, don't bother fighting him until you have more spark points, which means when you encounter him likely the first time, don't fight him, but go left on the map instead, or past him? Then return later?
You can definitely do that. The route going forward is actually behind him so go left for now and there is one other boss to fight (much easier, wolf guy) which will also give you a new ability to use against the Wight.
Hey, I'm on a NVIDIA RTX 3060, so middle range, not top end right now or anything. Super resolution = 100 super resolution sampling = DLSS 'Cinematic' graphics for View distance quality, anti alisiaing quality, hair quality. 'Very high' for texture quality. 'High' for post effects quality, visual effects quality, vegetation quality, global illumination. 'Medium' for shadows and reflections. I'm not an expert in this graphics stuff by any means. I'm just using what seemed to look alright to me when I first started playing, for my setup.
Exactly what will souls player ask 😂😂 :) .. I stumbled here trying to find answers to that question but apparently no, it's not like Elden Ring (as far as I understood), we should fight everything we bump into :)
@@lewisbudworth483 He's the phantom version of the later golden head boss (Jinchi, secret boss) in the same chapter, if you beat the golden one, he'll be gone for good.
the difficulty of this game is really disappointing, it's a shame about the money I spent on the game, I regret buying the game so much, I would advise you against it, it looks really easy on UA-cam but when you play you go crazy, you need 20-30 attempts to beat a boss, if that
This dude humbled me real quick
Glad I'm not alone rn
I recently got this game.
Shit you not I have been stuck on it for 12+ hours...

Quick tip: do not ring the 3 bells if you havent defeated this boss otherwise the boss disapears. ( i just looked it up cos its what happend to me).
That AOE attack is WILD. Cant get away from it. Caught in 1 im hit by all 3 and dead

one of the reasons I switched to thrust stance primarily, I couldn't figure out how that ability worked properly
I think the timing is just hard to get right, you basically have to time it almost as precisely as perfect dodge

What about how to dodge or block frontal beam??????
I can’t believe I need a tutorial

How do I dodge that beam he does
One roll into the beam as he casts it, should be 2 or 3 examples in the video to see the timing
How do i get him to respawn? i haven’t beat him yet. I ran past him beat the boss after him but when i go back to him he not there.

That's why you do research before you buy games. You also need to use common sense. If you don't like difficult games, then dont buy difficult games.
