- I’m excited to try this new method of raising fish, I was inspired to do it by J Thompson ranchu on Instagram. It’s a traditional Japanese method of raising fancy goldfish. I will be getting more tanks and culling through this batch though, there is far too many fish to raise in these tanks alone. I bought these fish from Luminous Goldfish, I’ve bought from them before, they breed pretty good quality ranchu here in the United States.

Hey for the rough drop to get them out of the bag, i would recommend to have like a bucket full with water from the tank, the drop wouldn’t be that big and you give them a little prewash from that dirty watter 😅❤

Hey Luke I always loved ur videos. But I just have to say something on this one. I simply can’t understand how the presence of ammonia (which is quite poisonous to the fish) could help with growing for fish ? The goal should always be to let a tank cycle before you add fish so that there is balance, in which way ammonia doesn’t even builds up. Also by taking them in a new and way to clean tank ur doing nothing better. In clean tanks different toxins and stuff is guaranteed to come. Do ur fish a favor and put them in a bigger tank, add a load of plants (I would recommend javafern, anubias or vallisneria), connect a BIG and oversized external filter and get the fish out of that thing as fast as possible.

LUKE I need some help! I had male goldfish - then I accidentally bought females too!!! They are breeding like MAD and I was hoping you could tell me of a fish I could keep in the tank that would egg the eggs and the very small babies. My tank is as long as my chest and one arm and as tall as my fingers to elbow. The goldfish as far as I know are just standard small ones! All orange. Many thanks!
I know that you are selling the "ugly" ones assorted, but how does the order process work? Do I just get a random baby fish? Do I get to choose my "ugly baby fish" ?
We raised trout in a net pen at our local lake! I’m thinking just get some net material the same size as your pond liner lay it on top of the pond liner. Then just grab the corners of the net pick it up drop it in the new tank then you can go back into the other tank when you need to! 💯

Him showing his goldfish in the thumbnail is the equivalent of showing your babies to other people while submerged and drowning in the tub.
I have a big female comet about to spawn for the third time. She is PACKED full of eggs. The last time she spawned I hatched about 300 eggs. In the end only 3 survived because I didn't know what I was doing. She will lay much more eggs this time around. I'm gonna try and record it and put it on my channel.

What we should be feeding our goldfish , i am feeding them bolied peas as whenever we feed them fish food bought from store they die very soon due to swim bladder issue...but i am not sure if they are getting enough nutrition and organic food made them susceptible to fungus infection seems like....

Take with a grain of salt but i think Goldfish release hormones into the water to keep the others in the tank from growing so big, likely to decrease competistion, so if you change the water more often or have less goldfish they can get very big
Genetics, high quality food, plenty of space and quality water.

I really like ranchu goldfish and would absolutely love to get some but my mom won't let me get a big tank and I'm a kid who has no money😭It would also just be plain sad if they are put in a bowl so I guess I won't be getting any until I move out or something

If I were you I would unlist the $600 ranchu and breed it to make a lot more huge ranchus so you have more profit overall. I don't have the experience to know how good that idea is though.
