The fact that he says "this is my world " despite everyone on earth hating him and questioning him is so sad

Yeah and then he came back the next movie, which was pretty bad and I would honestly say bvs is better than jl
I mean, nobody believed he actually died though
There was a pin drop silence because no one cared lol. Superman had the personality of a doorknob up to then and was always moping or brooding. There was nothing about him to warm up to which is why audiences didn't care to see his "resurrection" either.

What he hated initially, ultimately restored his faith in humanity and restored his sense of heroism which was dwindling after 20 years of fighting crime and losing ones close to him. This is what led to him forming the Justice League.

Hans Zimmer is one of the best composers in cinematic history. At 1:14 when Batman provides support against Doomsday, you can see the score takes a melancholic and saddening tone signifying Batman's level of remorse for everything that he has done against Superman up until this point, as if he's trying to make up for it. Absolute master piece.

If there is an heir apparent to the throne of John Williams, Hans Zimmer is definitely on the short list.
I disagree. It was meant to signify the impending tragedy that was about to come.
I understand why this movie might not have worked for a lot of people, but this was amazing for me. It took the effort of 3 tired out heroes for one last all out battle to save the world. Batman was morally bankrupt, Wonder Woman had given up on the world for years already, and Superman was questioning whether or not he wanted to protect the people of Earth anymore. It was at this moment the three worked together, and found a reason to be heroes again. Batman helped the one person he was trying to kill; Wonder Woman finally stepped out of the dark, and into the light to help fight; and Superman proved his allegiance to Earth by giving up his life for the sake of humanity... It was the one way he could prove to humans that he actually is like one of us. He loved and he died. Literally made me tear up in the theater because I am a man child who takes this stuff way too seriously.
It doesn't surprise me that a lot of the mainstream audience liked Justice League more than this and Man of Steel...but I'd gladly watch Zack Snyder's previous films to JL. I'm really hoping for that Snyder Cut!!

Snydercut is good. 8/10
The second he saw Superman lying there dead after giving his life for us, Batman completely snapped out of his rage and started to return to the way he was before: the true Batman! I love that it's Superman who makes him that way...
I wish there had been civilians in the scene. They took the time to essentially apologize for MoS' amount of destruction that they had to tell us that the area was vacated. If there had been people there in the moment, the sacrifice would have gotten across much better.
+2deepy After that chaos, there would be NO civilians. The sacrifice worked great for me. The fact that they didn't know he was gone until it was too late and the fact that they never even saw him before his death (while still being against him) made it even more powerful for me. Also, keep in mind that at the time, people were still against him until Lois proved his innocence. Now, everyone feels like crap for treating him like such. I believe the saying is
"You never know how much you care about something until it's gone."
Deo Robinson Well, it isn't as though people walking could foresee a Kryptonian death monster attack, so I believe that normal people who were minding their own business would get caught in the situation. Then there's also the people who were on the plane Wonder Woman was aboard that seemed to disregard the two nukes that had launched, raising the question of why the airline would depart at all, and the monster attack presently going on at the the time (I'm not entirely sure if the former had happened quite yet, though I'm pretty sure it did from what I can remember,) which sort of subconsciously made me think "Well, if these people don't care, why should I all that much?"
I believe another reason why Superman's death didn't impact me was because I don't feel his humanity that was meant to ooze out during the titular fight scene. The theatrical cut only seems to explore humanity as it pertains to morality and ethics, but not just what normal people do. Yeah, we see him as Clark Kent here and there, but humanity can be shown in many different ways as well. I literally believe the most human thing he does in the theatrical cut is buying groceries at the beginning. And I liked the clip I saw on UA-cam from the ultimate edition of him using his journalist alter ego to investigate the Batman in Gotham, as I believe it fixed some of this problem. Still, I'll need to watch it in its entirety to say for sure.
2deepy Batman said the port was abandoned, which is why he lured Doomsday there (that and the fact that the spear was still there). If it's abandoned, no one will go there. Why would they? And with Doomsday's attack made public, why would anyone be outside? As for your comment about Diana on the plane, the nukes hadn't been released yet. Diana left the plane just as Superman grabbed Doomsday and flew him into space BEFORE the nukes were launched. Also, the plane probably didn't even take off.
The ultimate cut definitely shows more of Superman and Kent, but the theatrical cut also shows his Humanity quite well. We see that he cares for others in both his words and actions. Also, you need to go by what has occurred in MOS, where he also showed a great deal of care for others via his words and actions. We see that despite our treatment of him, he is still willing to help and give it all. I get it didn't work for everyone, but it works for me just great...
+Deo Robinson couldn't have said it any better myself mr. Robinson but take it easy on the man he's just speaking from a more comic-booky type of you when it comes to the civilians being there to bear witness to the death but I was just about to say the same thing like why the hell would anybody be there with somebody Superman is fighting and he needs help fighting at that LOL like they didn't learn from the Man of Steel situation
I love it that people appreciate this movie more. The ultimate edition is really good. Idk about the theatrical release cus I never watched it. But the ultimate edition is so damn good
I'm a big DC fan and remember going to theater to see this movie and was really disappointed and didn't understand it... Then later I watched the ultimate edition and was like "how the fuck can you hate this thing", i kinda understand all the critics and why it did poorly but seriously, no fights scene came close to this level in any marvel film, it's just greatly directed and the score are always a win
Same here, when I first saw this movie I thought it was ok. Then the more I watched it, it started to grow on me. Now I love this movie.

imagine zsjl flash scene lmao. Mos world engine scene. This trilogy man, fucking masterpiece. Full of awesome moments. I’m gonna cry. We failed zack and everyone.
I will never get people who say this happened "too soon". The suddenness was the entire point. At this point in the story, Superman was a once in a lifetime being who humanity did not fully understand or embrace until it was too late and he was gone. Sacrificing himself to kill Doomsday proved once and for all that Superman was a force for good.
When Superman comes back from the dead it gives humanity a second chance to finally embrace him because now they understand what he's about.
Superman's death was never meant to be a grand finale of his character arc after 10 or 20 movies. It was just the next step of his development.
This was a literal battle with god-like beings, I loved this movie.

When lex asks the kryptonian ship to create doomsday, it warns him saying “the decree of krypton ruled that never again will a being an deformed should be created” referencing that there was a doomsday which was already created by the kryptonians and they made it a rule not to create more doomsdays probably after seeing how the first one turned out.

As a marvel fan who watched this when it first came out I can hands down say this was absolutely amazing as well as Snyder cut. I wish WB actually gave other directors and chance and made something really really good out of DC.
your damn right.
batman: from what I thought was the world's greatest threat... turned out to be the world's greatest protection😔.

I love that amazing music, while Batman and Wonder Woman helped each other carried him gently. Bruce knew his mistake with the light showing a strange symbolism approaches of him, Diana and Lois crying over her amazing lover. One of the most beautiful scenes I ever saw in DC.
The acting in this movie is SO good !!
It's really underappreciated.... Even the scenes with 0 dialogues speaks more than thousand words.
Henry and Amy outdone themselves here.
When Lois looks at WonderWoman she instantly looks away because she lost Steve the same way, the man killed himself to save the world. She remembers him in the final shot when she looks at the sky and then looks down. This movie is perfect.
I'm a MARVEL fan, but this kind of details makes me love both universes 💖
Thanks for pointing that out!
This 😭😭😭 ugh so good
Superman is a bitch
Superman is suck a pathetic weakling
Dceu lower levels are truly pathetic and inconsistent.
Son of weakel superbitchman
Is pathetic.
Superbitchman
Meet
Thor Odinson
A truly powerful and godlike in every aspect
Truly worty of a heroic title
Unlike superbitch
Thor stomps Superman
So no one's gonna talk about how godly soundtrack is? Like omg this has to be one of the greatest soundtracks used in superhero movies
not 'one of' , its the best
Right I always come back here and few people ever talk about how good the soundtrack is
@@dj12891 nah, Junkie XL did a better job in Zack Snyder's Justice League, especially when they are fighting Steppenwolf underground and Flash taps the sword to give it to Wonder Woman.
@@PurooRoy you’re right , I loved that one too lol
SI...MOI !!! MUSIQUE PARFAITEMENT DRAMATIQUE ET PUISSANTE QUI COLLE AVEC CETTE AMBIANCE DE FIN DU MONDE ET DU SACRIFICE DU PLUS GRAND HÉROS !!!
Marvel movies always be putting me to sleep, but this one gave me goosebumps when I saw it In theaters…it will forever be known as the better of the two, by the true DC fans.
I've been a marvel fan but I'm bored with so many woke scenes since Phase 4. DC has won Oscar movies.
I understand why the theatrical was hated on, but if you watch The directors cut of this film, it truly shows what it is... an absolute masterpiece of a film leading to what is should have been and was a great 4 hour long justice league film. I really wish they kept Zack Snyder on. Imagine the finale we would have gotten years to come with Darkseid being the endgame of this universe and possibly spinoffs of evil superman.. you can only imagine
02:04 the bells are rung. That’s the scream that the world hears
Lol, Wonder Woman is enjoying so much this battle 0:00 her smile!
It's just another day in the office...
Reminds her of the old days
i know right, but i love ww in this.
She actually enjoys the fight unlike everyone else (Doomsday debatable.) Insanely hot unlike, say, Black Widow and her professionalism/angst.
Best character in the movie along with Bats ;)
Can we appreciate how well Wonder Woman fight against doomsday
Now whenever Superman screams I’m like “This is Justice League!!!” 😂😂😂 it’s so cool how it’s one cohesive story
4:11 That's an epic shot of Batman right there.
Leaving the darkness, and appears in the light.
Batman reborned in that moment.
he is definitely not that buff thats bs rite there
Hawk Force nah it’s the suit
Hawk Force that shot was 100% real. The cape was sometimes CGI, or when it was an action scene where it couldn’t be done practically, but that’s it.
Hawk Force I don’t think it added THAT much bulk though. It wasn’t molded from his body, but Affleck was still jacked for this film.
I love how intense this scene is he literally impales himself further into doomsday’s spear hand so he can stick the spear further into him to kill him man Henry cavil’s face is so beautiful😊👍🏻
The way you describe it makes it sound like gay torture porn 😂😂😂
gayyy

I know right? Got to love the Bat.
well thats BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!!!
Yeah, gaping at the others doing the fighting...

DAMN HENRY!!! Best Superman ever
3:55
Love the subtle elements. Like Lois had this belief of 0.01% that he could be resurrected cause they are all something that is not fundamentally human so she has this hopeful look at WW but since nothing could be done she looks away and Lois then realises that he is Abolsutely gone and there is no way Clark can be resurrected.
This scene gave me all the emotional shit to cry my pains away. Such a realistic portrayal of a death of a symbol of hope.
Woah didn't realize it
3:56 Wonder Woman knows the feeling of loosing the love of her life 😭💔
This movie is a masterpiece.

4:32 I love the references to Superman being a representation of the savior with the crosses in the back.
You have a good eye my friend
I'll never understand how this film got so much hate. The acting, the special effects, the cinematography, everything was so amazing. This movie portrays Superman perfectly, he's not a god, he's just as human as any other normal person. He's just trying to do the right thing. The goosebumps I got from this scene won't ever be matched by any other film. A true masterpiece.
Because of the Martha plot twist probably. And the actor who plays Lex Luthor. Those 2 come in mind.
Batmans role was reduced to a MacGuffin.
I like the movie though. I own it any watch it fairly often.
I haven't seen the theatrical cut since theaters, however. Only the extended cut!
@@rudy1999 that's bs Captain marvel movie had even more flaws and it got a high note on rotten tomatoes while bvs got destroyed om rotten tomatoes.
People are just biased
Because the media has decreed that marvel movies are good (especially Avengers) and DC is bad especially Superman). Pure and simple.
@@rudy1999it's Luther junior. People didn't pay attention it's actually Luthor's son

And it's epic
Doomsday should have being in justice league movie. That will be Epic. Steppenwolf is a joke
Doomsday in JL
Nonsence.
So flesh will be dead, Cyborg too and superman.
End of the movie, it stay batman and wonder woman
Nonsens.
I agree, they should have done man of steel, then a batman film then a wonderwomen film. Then maybe do BVS with lex as the only villain, then do the other solo films. THEN do justice league with Doomsday. Something like that would have been way better as they have already established backstory for each character, which would have paid off so much better then the film.
Dannyz you're so right
dannyZ u can be next Zack Snyder xD😂
I can't wait for Darkseid to make his first appearance.
The way our superman, sacrifice himself to save humanity.✊
Bro imagine Shazam and Superman teaming up against Zod's Doomsday. This sort of crossed my mind when I was like 12 since Superman always said he didn't do well against magic.
I think the most painful scene was when he told Lois "You are my world".
Actually it was the best scene. Henry got to do some acting as opposed to just standing around looking handsome in the costume..
painful cringe or painful heartbreak
+bob bill In the context of the film heartbreak.
dbreiden83080 true...
lmao the most painful scene huh, this movie failed to make people feel any emotion. The chemistry between superman and lois was non existent, by the time they showed that "painful" scene I was like, this is super cheesy
....that Background Music mann👀😔✊💪
So friggin cool
NintendoBeans309 Riight!😀
yes
TEARS 😭!!!!!
*WHAT IS IT CALLED*
I tear up every time I see this scene where Superman sacrifices himself, even when I know he's going to come back, he still has to endure that pain.
This is still smarter then when Clark flew him into orbit and then flew him back to earth basically creating a small nuke in the animated movie
The music is GOD here.

Seeing the Ultimate edition makes me sad knowing that Zack Snyder’s DC Universe will never be a major thing, the guy had great ideas.
Thank the executives for constantly meddling just to keep pace with Marvel instead of bring out a product that is better than Marvel.
Snyder's works always age like a beautiful fine wine.
