Working on drag backs for Cooks sawmill & they are working great now

When we bought the mill the drag backs would allow your slabs or lumber to fall right off the end of the log and on short logs, that was quite a hassle. Or the drag backs would send your product or slabs off to the sides. We ended up removing and reworking and they are much improved now @lumberlinefarmingcountry

We have the same problem with ours. It really slows down production sometimes. If we have a good flat cut it’s helps a lot. But thinking of adding the pieces of on the bottom like you did

I'm thinking about welding a piece of flat bar across the bottom of mine to keep them even. Let me know how your changes turn out. If I update these again, I'll post it. Hope it turns out good for you!
