I tried this but couldn't figure out the right screws, so I propped it up using some thicker lugnuts around the four clips :P Thank you for this video, it made me do it! Dope Fit btw, you got me looking at exhaust and wheels now.
Plastic prying tools, like the tools for opening a cellphone, might work for this and make it a little more peace of mind than using a screw driver. Maybe trim removal tools.
Actually you only need 2 which is the 2 at the end the 2 middle ones go in deeper than 2 at the end..and also you'll need 2 longer screws for the top cause the original ones will not catch if you use a longer screw..I used a 1/4 diameter by 1 1/4 inch screw to lift it up..but be careful not to break the catch screw wholes on the top they break easily but you should be good if only one breaks mine is held on by one but it's fine just give a good tugging to make sure it's nice and tight
Such a good idea man! Will hopefully be doing this, this week sometime. Do you have a recommended website for wheels? I really like the ones you have on
@@tonythecarfreak wait what lol? How did you do that lol? I've received a message from you a while back about you selling the fit and that you regretted it lol.
My hero I been trying to mod my Honda for and I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere but saw this , thank u so much
Glad I could help!
Great explanation and made it so simple for us to understand thank you.
@@cbcluchi9254 thank you for watching glad i could help!
What type and size bolts did you use the ones I have around here do not fit
Gonna do this to my fit ASAP ! Thankyou for this resourceful video🙏🏻
What size are those screws and bolt
Great ideas, but I would recommend always use two nuts on each bolt instead of one - better lock with no movements.
Use a cloth so you don't scratch your paint

Smart and cheap too can't beat that...I like the stock wing on mine

You think this method will also work on 07-08 Honda Fit Sport (GD3) they come with spoiler from factory as well, Thanks
If I told you I knew I'd be lying! But doesn't hurt to give it a try!! Just becareful with damaging the paint
I have a 07 honda fit would it work like your car
To be honest I'm not sure but you can give it a shot
Great video dude, planning on doing this!

What are the list of parts again?
Screws that fit into that slot and nuts that screw onto the screw

Thanks, and honestly Fitment industries will be your best bet for wheels
Hi i got the same car and i love ya rims what size ?
Thanks brotha those were 15x8 +35 offset
Didnyour mpg drop at all?
Not at all if anything I got more mpg since I rode slower
What size is your rims and tires?
15x8 195/50/15
what size screw did u use?
I honestly don't recall I'm so it was a long time ago. I explained it in the video
@@tonythecarfreak but you didn't explain the size?
@@GK5_ I explained to use the stock one to get a rough estimate. It doesn't have to be exact just snug enough to fit inside the clips
Awesome video thanks man!
Thank you for watching!
What is the spoiler called and where can I get it
It comes with the sport edition Honda fit
Add another nut for a lock nut so that it doesn't adjust with vibration.
That's a good tip!
Do you remember the size and length of those bolts?
I know it was long ago but the bolts I used were m5-.80 x 30 and used 2 m5 nuts per bolt
@@kalidell760 lol thank you I was looking for a comment like this
yo you stay near broward? i got a fit too abit of a fit freak myself @ryerysa
Any issues opening the hatch fully ?
No sir , none at all
I’m assuming this mod isn’t compatible with the 1st gen fits correct?
If I'm completely honest with you, I'm not too sure about that...
@@tonythecarfreak right on, ty for the reply brotha!🙏🏼
Thanks for the idea but you should consider the rain 😉
I'm sorry but why should I consider the rain? It's been perfectly fine no issues
@@tonythecarfreak those are allot of holes jus wondering if the rain gets in any time at all
This is bad ass bro.
Nice job man! Pretty ingenious to use a bolt/nut combo to prop the wing up. Does it bounce around at all or is it secure?
Not at all it stayed steady for months under high speeds! never had a problem!
@@tonythecarfreak when you say months, is it because it loosens on the long run?
could also look into nylon jam nuts.
@@b_dard I said months because I sold the car months after doing this
i have the same ride. thanks homie from michigan
That was good tip bro
Post more Honda Fit 🙏🏼
Sorry I sold the honda fit
