- The class champs of #GRIDLIFE’s 2018 Time Attack season have been carted off to Florida to try out a form of racing they may not be familiar with: endurance racing. Our boys have shown that they can produce one or two quick laps over the course of a weekend, but can they survive the 14-hour-long, wheel-to-wheel onslaught that is Champ Car at Daytona?

@@builtsubarusti7408 Yeah, in New Zealand, we get the K24 in thousands of Honda Odysseys (the RB2 JDM model), and they have transmissions made of cheese. So, we have lots of cheap good K24's...

As a fit owner can say it have great potential for racing car with right modifications. Even stock it’s really good on turns and have great handling.
Honestly most you tubers focus more on growing there channel and not there audience but you guys do such a good job making us feel like we’re apart of it. Every video at that. When I’m not on the track or working on my car you guys keep my oil running inside me 🤙🏼😂 thank you ❤️

Fits aren't known for power but with decent suspension they are quite fun to throw around. This makes me miss my fit.

Finishing 9th overall and 2nd in the class shows how awesome that Fit is. I love Honda/Acura. They have produced some of the best vehicles in my opinion like the CRX, Civic, Accord, Fit, CR-Z, Legend, NSX, Integra, RSX, TSX and TL. With the right modifications installed, any one of those models can become a weapon on the track. They are even fast on a drag strip. Mid 7 second turbocharged cars and high 8 plus low 9 second all motor cars. I have owned a handful like the 1997 Accord Sedan, 1990 Civic Hatchback with a 4 speed manual, 1999 Civic Ex, 1999 Civic Si, and two 1992 Integra GSR. Even though I drive a Toyota today, I will own another Honda in the future. I loved the 1990 Civic Hatchback and think it would have been one hell of a car with a better engine. A K24A2 out of a 2006-2008 TSX swapped in it with intake and exhaust modifications along with an ECU tune would be the greatest.
I just bought my first car, a 2011 Honda Fit, a little over a month ago. It's what created my interest in cars and in watching this channel, so now that u guys have a video with a Fit it makes me love the channel even more :'))

I love the K motor,once owned a k20a3 and just fell in love,and to this day feel like its near one of the best engines ever made,not the k20a3 but k motors in general.The k24 to me is the way to go.A fit with a k24 is a killer idea and I love it.

@11:43 that is incorrect... "clutch in" or being in neutral will use more fuel than keeping the gear engaged when coasting. Fuel injectors have to kick in and supply extra fuel to keep the motor turning if it's not in gear.

Aah love me some endurance racing! Always endurance raced, never done many time attack events. Its honestly an unreal feeling of man and machine for so long on a track, you become attached in a way to the car.
This is SO much fun to watch. Amazing work you guys.
I used to drive my Fit for mileage - neutral when I saw a yellow light or down hill. 50 mpg was common, over 40 the eight years I owned it. The times I was in a hurry on a highway, I discovered it LOVED going 90 - 100. Just came alive. Not fair bringing a Fit to an endurance race.
Growing up I wanted a Civic Type R, but I fell in love with a 2012 Accord with a bone stock K24. It's a joy to surprise muscle cars at stoplights with a K24 in a sleeper body 4 door Accord. I can imagine what this K24 feels like in a much lighter Fit. Great video!

I drive a 2009 Honda Fit and I just love driving it and it’s so cheap. Highly recommended car for daily drivers.

I race a 1993 Accord in Lemons, and I have a 2013 Fit. My wife drives it now, and I've been wanting to race it for years. It drives like a go-kart and it revs to 7000. With the exception of the oxidized paint and some grime in the corners it is indistinguishable from new. I cannot remember it every being repaired for anything, except the bumper after I got rear-ended. We just do the maintenance and it keeps going.
It is loud inside though. Road noise is so loud it tires you out.
Tom is a great dude did track night in America with him for years ! And been at a few autocrosses with him fast cool humble dude !
What a rad little monster of a car! A total weapon with a beast driver behind the wheel. I'll be inheriting my wife's (automatic) 2010 Fit Sport in another year or so. K24 sounds enticing. Hmmm...

about 200whp with a K24 and i made 220whp with a K20 N/A only with header's/exhaust and intake (Tuned).
Ended up here by chance....and loved it. Great team work guys!!!!!!

That’s so rad!! I used to own a 13 fit sport (same chassis, different cosmetic front end)! I totally agree the 1.5 is the downfall of this car! It is way too slow even with the supercharger kit. I ALMOST dropped a k20 in there when my motor blew but honda bought it back from me since it was under warranty and because “it is rare to see this model throw a rod” so I got a new civic Si but I still miss the fit.
If you guys are not familiar with Truefitcrew(TFC) they have some guys in there with K20’s also. Wished these were the standard engines as they could literally make that fit last sooo long and going uphills wouldn’t be such a pain for daily driving.
Also it’s amazing how much a sway bar goes in this car. From factory there is a lot of roll so I can only imagine what it feels like to have a cage in there. Bet you’d have placed higher if you guys made it to grid
