oh man i loved stargate becasue it's one f the few series that ever used latin/choirs in so much of it's music, whether it be the Ori, the Goaul'd, wraith etc.
It can't, or Adria would have used it herself. Amelius must have made quiet a lot of safety protocal by giving definition to the "truth"--only what the ancients believed are true can be truth--In order to prevent the bad guys from using the ark for their own means.
You know, it's funny.... If Adria had taken Vala's advice and just learned to be happy with what she had, she might not have been obliterated by Morgan Le Fay. The Ori made their own downfall in their blind crusade.
Yeah. They're just in forever fights. The same way Anubis is as well. Neither of those two have died, nor has the two ancietns who fight them destroyed. the rest of the ancients can't deal with jack shit. I do wish LeFay had opted to attack Anubis and help Ohma and then those two foguth ADria. would've been a neat call back
I truly wish they had done some kind of flashback showing the Ori in their 'human' or ascended forms. Adria's cool. But we've seen her. I wanted to see some of the others. Them arguing or praying or interacting in general. Honestly, they should do a prequel to Ark of Truth telling of the beginnings of the Ori and Altera.
Adria does make a point, and it's something that's always bothered me about Stargate, and the last seasons in particular: they keep saying the Goa'uld and the Ori are false gods, but by definition, really all you need to be to be a god is to have people worship you for having some particular influence on the natural world. You don't even need to actually have this power. You don't even need to exist, really. If people believe you are a god, then by definition, you are a god. Of course, that's arguing semantics, but let's define a god as a being that actually possesses the power it is worshipped for. Then the Goa'uld are still gods to some degree, and even if you argue they are not, they are treated more like tyrannical rulers with massive napoleon complexes throughout the series. The Ori, on the other hand, have power, and quite a lot of it. The only problem is that they deceive their followers and have those who don't respect them murdered. They are rightfully gods, just not benevolent gods.
It's a matter of perspective...your definition of what constitutes a god is limited. As is the mythology and dogma concerning all concepts of divinity...because that's all they are...ideas...and bad ones at that. Until fairly recently most gods weren't immortal all knowing or even responsible for the creation of our world and what influence over nature was attributed to them was very limited...and as we all know now completely false. In short they don't quite cut it any more... So we raise the standards of what it is to be a god, all knowing, all powerful, everlasting and most importantly the creator of everything...the prime mover and the divine hand that sets all the rules and laws for all time...which should cover all the bases...until ya check into all the supposed deeds, commandments and stories attributed to these immensely intelligent and omnipotent figures and discover they're not very wise or all that impressive when measured by the standard of the supposed source. The word god is like the word indestructible or nothing...a completely imaginary, fictitious and impossible concept that has no substance or basis in reality, there is no such thing as a god or gods...regardless of a beings power, influence, intelligence, moral compass or lack thereof.
Shamelesscritique1 - How do you know that the gods weren't immortal? I have read my fair share of mythology and not once have I come across any that told of them dying. Maimed, tortured and flawed as in Zeus the womaniser, heracles committing matricide and sometimes outsmarted like sisiphus and death; and apart from that one with zephyr killing Narssicus, who even then wasn't a god, none of them have ever died. So I was just curious as to which stories you have read and could you please tell me. I not trying to be sarcastic just generally curious.
So a king with a higher understanding of how things work (and willingness to exploit that understanding), is actually a god? I find your definition of a god severely lacking, as I would call that a tyrant...
radicaldanny one of the key points was that you had to be worshipped. he just a tyrant with a lot of power but when people say he is a god and believe it then is he not a god. that is the question being asked however, the semantics of it leaves a lot to be debated.
On a barren desertscape, a figure materializes and collapses to the ground, naked and alone, the Orici burned out of her Adria softly cries. Can SG1 save Adria when they don't even know that she is alive? Find out in The Return Of Adria( coming maybe never as I cannot seem to find time or an "office"program where I can write and save what I write)
@@clevoro That's not what makes it 60fps. Full HD could be well 30fps. In most of cases those FHD 60fps releases are just upscales and the 30fps framerate is interpolated into 60fps, giving you an illusion it is in high definition and with higher framerate, whereas in reality, the resolution never actually changed and the framerate is no better.
She missed her mother. she is. after all that power. a child whose only been alive a handful of y ears, fast aged, and kept without contact or love. and now no one will even look her in the eyes. Adria is, ultimately speaking, an abused child that turned into a powerful adult lashing out ath the universe and controlling what she can destroying what she can't.
Adria is one of the most tragic villains of Stargate SG1. One can only hope had they been able to do Season Eleven- Merlin's weapon would not have worked and they either had an Orici whose obvious tie to her humanity falter or on ascending, realize what the Ori were doing. Vala got done wrong as well in Dominion, I couldn't stand that as a victim of the Goa'uld, Vala could stand it happening to Adria or using a Tok'ra to enslave her. It was a horrible moral decision that undermined ten seasons. I mean, I can't even cut them the break they only had Morena Baccarrin for a day of filming and wanted a familiar face as the main bad guy- I actually skip Ark of Truth on rewatches as well as Dominion after the first part.
@@zwordsman On the contrary, they established that Adria is "one of the Ori", that an unborn child, was smuggled over the line. As I see it, she was an Ori before and descended on purpose to lead the armies. She probably lost much of her memory doing that. When she ascended again, she gained back that memory and became her old self.
Why didn’t she use Merlins weapon to take out the Ancients? It was sent to her galaxy on an empty Ori ship, why not just dial the super gate and send it back through?
I think it was a one-time use weapon, kind of like a bomb. Even if she were familiar with its construction and were able to build another one, she may not have had access to whatever energy source it used that did the Ori-killing. That’s the best guess I’ve got.
There were also safeguards put in place so she couldn’t use the weapon only ancients or humans could believe this was mentioned in the shroud and the quest plus I also believe Daniel programmed it for use on the ori only, interesting if Adria had worked out a way around maybe use Ba’al to help her reprogram it,his capture could have been a good link into stargate continuum
@@dmorley100 There also was a time window where no Ori existed and Adria wasn't ascended yet. The Ascended Ancients could've traveled to the Ori galaxy and destroyed that weapon. The more pressing question is: How did Adria plan to take on the Ancients? I find it very doubtful, even with the power from two galaxies, that she could've taken on the hundreds of Ascended beings in the Milky Way on her own. Perhaps she was working on her own Sangreal?
@@danielk5780 yes, that could be a possibility as well, that some Ascended Ancients could’ve traveled to the Ori galaxy during the brief period when there were no ascended beings there and destroyed the weapon themselves. The only problem I could see with that theory is why didn’t they stay there and try to do something to stop the flow of energy from the believers in the Ori galaxy from getting to the Milky Way after they destroyed the weapon? Maybe even set up some sort of ambush to try and capture her after cutting off that energy. It’d seem to me like even if all they were able to do was just cut off the flow of energy after destroying the weapon, she would’ve been much easier to deal with once she ascended without the energy coming from the believers in the Ori galaxy. It’s possible she was working on her own Sangrall, but I think the more likely explanation is that when she was the only ascended being in the Ori galaxy, and she had all that energy to herself, that it basically almost made her the ascended equivalent of The Incredible Hulk. Even with hundreds of ascended Ancients in the Milky Way, it could’ve been a stalemate that would’ve tipped in Adria’s favor if she’d have had just a little bit more energy from the Milky Way.
@@dmorley100 Well, it is one thing to not want to die, but another thing to actually kill someone. The Ancients probably destroyed the Sangreal out of self-preservation. But Adria didn't pose an immediate threat. In The Ark Of Truth, Daniel mentions to Morgen, that the Ancients "owe them" for saving them. In my opinion, that doesn't sound like the Ancients were in danger anymore, at least not at that moment. They might still have acted if Adria had become a threat again. Morgen was more convinced that Adria would become a threat - and as Adria said herself, she wouldn't rest until all the Ancients were dead. Most of the Ancients probably thought that she had just become insane and would never get into the position again to threaten them. Morgen thought otherwise and was convinced that the issue had to be fought at the root, before growing up to bevomr a poisonous flower.
Walking around in circles...what does this director think they are accomplishing with this. If they wanted it to seem like Adria was circling her prey perhaps id understand but this scene that needed to deliver some crucial information and establish Adrias ultimate power was utter garbage. Fantastic show falling over at the final hurdle.
“Spoiled brat with a God complex,” damn, Adria may be burning but her mother spits fire.
I’m sure she channeled a little of her dragon age and uncharted sass. Lol
Well, that checks out as both are incredibly hot

I love how they added a scene where Vala is being the mother telling her off, and the scene of Adria folding her arms just taking it....lol
Adria was irresistible before.
Now she's literally made of fire. I think I speak for all pyros out there when I say, Wow!
God she is drop dead gorgeous
Somewhere in this world there lies a StarGate movie with 60fps, i am bound to find it.
Use the google my young apprentice.
i already did, got nothing
if you could help, i would appreciate.

Use torrents.I usually leave download when I go to work.I come back and movie is ready.
no i mean, wheres the version with 60 fps.
because the usual movie fps is 24.
Daniel was the only one who realized that Vala really loved Adria. And that she was really hurt that she could help her see the light.
The Ark was like a reverse Pandora's Box, instead of opening it up & releasing the evils of the world it stops this particular evil.
it can be seen that way, but also can be a pandoras box, somehow it can be manipulated to brainwash people for the ori.
It can't, or Adria would have used it herself. Amelius must have made quiet a lot of safety protocal by giving definition to the "truth"--only what the ancients believed are true can be truth--In order to prevent the bad guys from using the ark for their own means.
Remember watching Stargate The Ark of Truth, the Ark was taken into custody. It could be misused for nefarious purpose later!
Adria wanted to be first intergalactic simp queen... Much respect.

Morgan le Fay did't obliterate her, they are locked in eternal combat.
@Spenser Years Morgana didn't obliterate Adria. Adria and Morgana are locked in eternal combat
The combat need not be eternal, with the help of some more ancients Morgan could be victorious.

C'mon, Adria, is that quicktime teleportation really necessary?
If you got it, flaunt it... XD
@Zanar Naryon doesn't matter if it's necessary or not. If you have it, flaunt it that simple. All beings like her will flaunt their power
You know she's doing that to throw Vala off after that telepathic torture
Zanar Naryon At first, she was doing it because Vala kept turning away from her.

A bit of a worry , that young girl. She had it all. Good looks, millions of worshippers and a fantastic mum.
Adria was just as smoking hot as the queen Anna in V the tv series.....
Say the words, fat gandalf
Ah children when they're acting like tyrants you could just open a box and reveal that they are not gods to they're followers
We surely can say she is hot😁
I've seen hotter =P
Which one?
I mean look at all the flames
Love watching this at 60FPS!
2:49 is giving incredible Diana vibes from the visitors lol
I always loved vala.. was always curious about that tick she kept doing...
Colton Esson it was meant to be that she was disoriented by Adrea teleporting around her. it was in the DVD extras
Makes sense
