    Good advice mate.
    Its easy to get locked into a routine when detecting.
    But, having an objective can pay dividends when looking for yellow stuff. Cannot remember how many times I started the day digging super deep junk swinging 18-24 inch coils.
    It shatters even the most hardened electric prospectors soul.
    The positive is rarely small gold comes from huge holes, and surprisingly most people leave the huge shallow screamers alone out the bush.

      Gday Adz. Glad you enjoyed the video. Sometimes you do have to have a change up. Got to keep it fun.
      A lot of folk do seem to leave those screamers. Find I’m checking them out more often these days. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

    A great day Andrew having fun on the goldfields.A few nice bits came up for you in amongst all the rubbish. You've left your mark on the UK,as I watched Somerset Searchers recently,and Bill was wearing on of your "Wild Silver" caps. Sadly,it seems he lost Julie to a heart attack not long ago.All the best and catch you on the next one.Cheers.

    Good advice, that, Andrew. It's how we found ourselves back to where we started, finding so many more interesting things to do to entertain ourselves, exploring, rock-hounding, gold fossicking, as a kid, while the rest of the family were fixated on just fishing.
    If the Manticore were taken to the reefy gold site, with very little trash, but in field or park mode, and not set to the gold modes, would gold of detectable sizes give numerical display and tones based on their size, rather than their metal composition? I feel that was the go with your 800 and your thin, transparent improvised scoop, working the surface millimetres under shaded patches of moss. 00, 02, 04, even --, these were our small gold numbers, or no number at all, though not with that squeaky toy sound. It could be worse I guess, and sound like Tweaky from Quantum Leap.
    Thanks, Mr CBK, and happy Saturnalia.

    • @TheCoffeeBushKid
      @TheCoffeeBushKid  Місяць тому +1

      Gday Gabi. Glad you enjoyed the video.
      Yes you could find gold if it was big enough in those modes but the gold setting is more sensitive. It would give a number value like you suggested and go up in number as the gold got bigger but if it was not very trashy, I would be in the gold mode and you won’t miss the relics. Hope that helped 😁👍

    Keen and chipper, I think I remember them, weren't they a couple of chipmunks! I tend to lean towards lazy and laconic!Bex is definitely better when the bottle is full of gold, garrantied to cure all sorts of complaints! It may have been a muck metal broachy sort of thing, but id still like to find it! That goes for the diamondy buckle as well! Thats where a small seive would be handy in the kit just to find those little bits that might have fallen off, especially if they were real diamonds. Seems the hay fever has effected the settings on your silver sniffer, time for a tune up! I don't mind possums as long as there not in the roof, or in the hole im digging. Ripper lock plate!... I don't mind finding gold, but coins and relics is where i find my fun. Oh! And of coarse being out on the hunt with your good self also does the job! Course? Coarse? I never know which one is correct. But im sure you get my drift. Cheers Andrew, Cheers Viv!

    • @TheCoffeeBushKid
      @TheCoffeeBushKid  Місяць тому +1

      Gday Wayne. I always hope to find a Bex bottle of gold but in the meantime I am filling one of my own. Gold certainly cures a flatness of enthusiasm once you find a bit I can tell you. Yes a sieve could be handy in those situations if they were there in the first place. Would be handy for toy car wheels too.
      The sniffer should be fixed soon I hope. Take care mate 😁👍
