I've heard the coaxials tend to blow!? who knows.. I went with the component not the coaxial.
I do have to admit the wires that come in the box are a bit thin leading to a final impedance of just slight over 4 ohms while the ones i ran to the front of my car are running just slightly under 4 ohms. Running thicker wire and ofc will help you reduce impedance and provide more power as long as your amp can go under 4 ohms per channel without issues.

Idc what anybody says Cerwin Vegas are the best speakers for home/car audio for the price. Even though they aren’t dirty cheap, but they sound better than vast majority of speakers that are higher price. Underrated company for car audio in my opinion… they made their name for the home stuff but their car audio is up to par big time. If I ever throw a system in a vehicle I’m going with Cerwin Vega.
I like your content. It's hard to find up to date car audio videos. Would you recommend changing out my stock radio? Would that make a difference to my speakers at all?
I like your comment! Appreciate it. Your input quality, would be the starting ground. So increasing your input quality from your streaming service to your head unit will typically shine. Like going from 128 kbps to 256 or even better to 320.
As for the speakers, if they are over 7 years of age and have been used moderately. It's time for a replacement, speakers get worn out and don't have the clarity. Kinda like a bald set of tires on a car. Once u purchase and run the speakers to let them break in, they will run "new".
If you choose component speakers, like these, it will further support clarity than to lump all the frequencies into one speaker.
I prefer the sound of domed tweeters over horn tweeters.
Yes changing out stock radio to after market makes a huge difference, you can go cheap and still good or do what I did and bought a high end Pioneer 80 PRS and it made a way big difference from a cheaper Pioneer. I noticed the big difference right away, my system sounds way louder and clear
I have an 03 impala trying to update my fronts this video was perfect, I have dual 12” in the back and left the 6x9s but dropped in alpines back sounds amazing fronts i need a update. Thanks for the video because I was not 100% on Cerwin Vega

This is a sweet build! I noticed how you have a pvc tube connecting the rear deck speakers, does that make them act as if they were in a sealed enclosure? Can you hear the difference from stock?
Yeah! The pvc tube costed me a total of 38 dollars. It created a chamber for the speakers to sound much better! They especially bring music like reggae to life or other mid bass music. Huge difference from the stock, no comparison to the power handling either. They are really powerful.

Balancing Life relatable! My dad has a pair of older cv speakers in his living room. They sound great with the amp he picked and are very bassy.
He recently got them refoamed cause he was starting to get cracks in the foam and other signs of foam decay
I have CV 6x9 coaxials running on small car stereo setup under my desk. Running off a pioneer unit. They sound good. If i wrre to put thrm on an amp im sure they would sound amazing.

As seen in this video at the beginning I am currently running the Rockford Fosgate Power Series. T-600.4 ultra low distortion amplifier. And the binize head unit.

Just had 1 cerwin vega tweeter FAIL. after producing this video! I wonder how cerwin vega will respond, I've reached out to them and we'll see how they respond. (UPDATED BELOW)
UPDATE: I contacted cerwin vega mobile and they only directly replace tweeters or speakers if they are from a certified seller such as Sonic electronics. There customer service was good and not rude. They however could not replace my product and failed to send me an email even after they said they would. I contacted the seller on Amazon (all around accessories) and they contacted cerwin vega mobile and agreed 🤝 to replace the tweeter. I'm very greatful for this awesome service, kinda wish cerwin would have followed up but I'm satisfied with the results.

@BASSN SANE good moves! Yeah skar can be good, careful of overheating. Hifonics bxx 1200.4 might be a good route for speakers too. Or the Rockford prime. Let me know how the skar sounds with the vega! Enjoy

Hey, I have a Dodge Journey with the Alpine sound system so I’m thinking it has an amp built in, would that be good enough to run the speakers? I’ve been out of the car audio “game” for a while since I had the journey. Also, I don’t really have access to the amp( I don’t think) are they plug and play without an amp? Since I cannot connect to it directly without taking the car apart.
Yes it can be plug and play if you have cross overs and same ohms on the speakers. Likely won't provide full power but enough to be similar to what you have now.
@@Balancinglife Those crossovers are those black boxes that come with the speakers? And they connect to the amp right? Or should I get some that don’t need the crossovers?

If you have separate tweets in the vehicle then I would just use the factory ones but if you want to I would replace them with the ones from cerwin but it needs to be the same ohms on tweeters as well. The amp in the car needs to be able to power with the same resistance for best results. Id recommend a shop doing the install too if you have any concerns.
I’ll probably end up doing that. I’ve switched out speakers before but nothing with a crossover I wouldn’t want to screw that up. Thanks for the info!

Cerwin is good sound. Depends on the price but the bullet ones pound. As long as the spider is in good condition and rubber looks healthy

@Balancinglife I just bought cerwin , they suck compared to infinity...they have no base and infinity are twice as loud ...running on half the ohms...do not recommend these over infinity....they do sound really good ...but infinity sound amazing!!!
