Im still using my 15 inch Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro from 2009. Weather they manufacture stuff themselves or just put an OEM stamp on produced product, Cerwin vega will never put their name on crap product.
my question is, when you flip the plug to 4ohm and put 2 of them together you get a 2ohm load? Same with the 2ohm, if you put 2 together will you get a 1ohm load?
Curious how you hook up the right and left speaker wires to this with only one set of binding posts? Most DVC subs have two sets of binding posts. Or are you not showing it?
You can either select 4 or 1 ohm with that selector just put 2 ohm subs to 4 ohms then wire them to amplifier as parallel and you get 2 ohm load. Basically you select parallel or series with that selector
No need for dual post when u have the selector. The selector puts the dual voice coils in the impedance you want, then that load is carried to the amp. If you have two speakers depending on how you select the impedance selector on the speaker and your wire configuration with the second sub will determine your load on the amp. Example- DVC 4ohm sub (impedance selector at 2ohms) Second subwoofer ( impedance selector at 2ohm) Wire both subs in parallel from the single wiring post on the speakers will give u a one ohm load to the amp... Hope that helps👍🏽👍🏽
I wonder if these will fit in the cabinets of the old house speakers. I have a pair of RE38 15’s (black cabinet) I would love to put the red surround 15’s in place of my old 15’s that are currently in there. Rubber surrounds would be nice over the foam.
Now kids, these are a whole different set of subwoofer, no comparison to the old version... Certain Vega Car Audio was being made by Diamond Car Audio, the last I heard...
Thanks for making the video, but if I may make a suggestion? Speak in a more conversational tone, and tell us what YOU think. What features stand out to you? What do they fall short? We clicked (most of us I should think) because We want to know what someone else thinks. Someone who knows speakers. We want them to give their honest opinion... This video sounds more like a Vega self-produced commercial for buying stock with them. You’ve just read ya off the spec/feature sheet. Any one of us could have done that. We want to know what YOU Think. I admittedly LOVE Vega, and have 4 sets of floor speakers in my living room that ran about $5k. Thinking about keeping my car in the brand, but looking for legit reviews before I invest my money.
this review was b.s. stamped or cast basket? which is it. the subs were playing in a trunk. thats what subs do. how does that equate to sound quality or high spl levels? try an spl meter on pink noise generator. just cause something is red doesnt make it better.

Looks to me like the Vega series V2 is best for sealed with an EBP of 29, and 18 mm xmax for only a 550 watt sub. I'm really considering these
