  • In this step by step acrylic paint tutorial I teach you how to paint a pink lotus flower. As in all of my tutorials we will work with a limited palette using only the three primary colors plus white. This keeps the lesson simple and easy to follow along with when learning how to mix colors.
I would be so grateful if you subscribed to my channel!!
I would also love to hear from you. Questions, advice, tips to share, requests for other tutorials....anything you have on your mind! Please leave me a comment. And I will respond back. :)
If you've ever painted along with me, PLEASE send me pics! I would loooove to see them. I may even showcase them at the end of one of my videos, if you're okay with that. If you prefer that I don't mention your name or show your photo, just let me know. You can tag or message me on instagram or Facebook @DebbieAvouxStudio or email me at DebbieAvoux@yahoo.com .
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!!
    Have an amazing day!
    Debbie :)

Hi Debbie, I found your rendition of the "lotus flower" to be the most beautiful and helpful one I have seen. I been to Thailand and this the background color is what the ocean looks like. I am going to create something similar to this painting in oil painting. I am going to add a sky in a tropical color too. I really love your lily pads too as they are easy to do but have a lot of different shades of color.

Oh...I was so glad to see so many more views & thumbs up than the only 2 that were there when I jumped on...I immediately shared on FB news...
This was not too long...I loved the doggie slurping sounds...& his burp was priceless! My 7lb yorkie,Chewey, burps in my face sometimes & it just about drops me!!!....at 1st I thought the background noise was ocean waves...crashing into the shore w an occasional big loud 1 but then as show continued I realized it was cars...when I heard a particularly noisy souped up one go by...no biggie tho. Didn't drown you out. I kinda missed your music but I realize that it bothered some...I am putting the finishing touches on a 16x20 Christmas themed painting right now but am going to jump on this the very next thing.
As far as something I would like to try...have you show...
    1. Scottish Thistle...wild in a field along a weathered wooden fence(I was watching Hannah Montana...the Movie...w my 7yr old granddaughter & there was a scene early in the movie in the horse pasture in Tenn where the thistle were taller than the fence...if you wanted to catch a glimpse of it...maybe 20 min into movie)
    2. I would love an old shingled lobster shanty wall that has a white paned window in it that has a buncha buoys hanging down...
    Ha Ha...just saying...had a cpla ideas!!
Anyways my friend...so good to see you again...was thrilled following your murals...maybe even a series on some fun cacti!!!✌...👍...🤙.

You responded to my video immediately after I posted it so you must have been one of the very first to see it.
Thank you for your wonderful support and all of the great tutorial suggestions. I have always wanted to paint a bunch of colorful buoys. I took some pics of some the last time I was in Rhode Island with my boyfriend with plans to do just that. So I’ll try and find those. I think that would be a great one.
I’ll have to look up the thistle. Sounds pretty. I’ve had a lot of requests for some succulent tutorials so I do plan to do some of those as well! Thank you.
Glad the background sounds weren’t “too” distracting lol. I wish those were ocean waves crashing! Haha ....one day....😀

@@DebbieAvouxStudio I'm not sure where I was in line as far as viewers go but I do know I was #2 in thumbs upping!! I did share this tutorial & will continue to do so w ea tutorial you post...I can't wait to see your buoy decision...I lived in Florida since mid 80s up until Sept last year & always lived extremely close to the ocean(Lived in Key Largo for 23 yrs & Jensen Beach the rest)...I saved every buoy I found & a boat capt friend of mine would tie them some how weaving a cut end of rope into a long line one making one 30-40' buoy garland that I hung on my outside fence...it was 1 of my prized possessions...I would put hooks,bobbers,lures...whatever cool little things I found on beach...hooking them into the buoys...Sadly...during a mandatory hurricane evacuation when I was away from home the winds took the fence out & buoy line was nowhere to be found. I do believe someone took it because it was long enough to get tangled up in tree's but...I never did see it again.I had found 1 of those huge netted green glass Japanese buoys in the surf on a beach in Ft.Lauderdale once...netting all covered w barnacles...I used to have it hanging from a tree in my front yard but after loss of buoy line...I hung it inside...that'd be a cool thing to paint...the ball itself is about 14" w a heavy corded netting over it...maybe I'll see if you have a FB site & shoot you a pic. Anyways...rambling a bit...hope you have a happy laughter filled holiday season & that the new year brings you & your family... good health, fortune & happiness🤙
