Jabra Elite Active 65t Review: Great. Not Perfect.

- This is the Jabra elite active 65t. A terrible name, but completely wireless earbuds with great sound quality. But how does it hold up to its competition? You’d be pretty surprised. Great sound quality doesn’t automatically make these the best earbuds. Let’s get

Straight out of the box you have the earbuds, the charging case for the earbuds, some different changeable ear tips, and a short micro usb charging cable. The earbuds are a decent size and don’t stand out too much. The elite active 65t has a 20 dollar premium over the standard 65t model because it comes with water resistance. That’s probably why it also comes in blue. For “water” resistance. Each earbud has a button. They have 5 hours of battery life when listening to music and an additional 10 in the charable case. Now lets talk about what you really want to hear, how these sound. I like the sound quality. The bass is deep, the mids aren’t muddy. I’m no audiophile by any means, but for my casual listening ears they sound absolutely fantastic and, unlike some other truly wireless earbuds, I found myself adjusting these very little once in my ear. They fit snuggly and isolate your music from the world and despite me wiggling my head around and head banging around like I’m too into some heavy metal music, the Jabra elite active 65t don’t fall out. The Jabra Sound+ companion app works with the earbuds decently. It provides some standard stuff like EQ changes, and access to their hearthrough feature. Which uses the Jabra elite active 65t’s mics to mimic outside noise and let you hear them more clearly. You can easily turn this on and off by double pressing the right earbud when connected to a smartphone. For some reason, I can’t use that feature on my macbook. It just doesn’t work.
Now onto the negatives, first off, let me say that the earbuds are great. They are amazing. BUT. The case holding them? Are utter garbage. Out of the only three truly wireless earbuds I’ve tried, this is the only one with a case that just can’t hold onto the earbuds. Like, flip the case upside down, and the earbuds just fall out. This makes these Jabra elite active 65t something you don’t want to take out if you’re active, because the chances of them falling out of the case and onto the ground is much higher. The case is decently small, that’s fine, but it’s also kind of hard to open, because of how its designed, and you can really only open it with one hand a very specific way. Otherwise, both hands are required. So, again, difficult operation if you’re in the middle of something. Next, the hearthrough feature at least on the active 65t, is not so great. External noise that people would want to hear, like voices, barely sound clearer, but noises no one wants to hear like a ceiling fan, or road noises, are much louder, making the hearthrough feature of these earbuds, practically useless.Lastly, this might just be a me problem, but after wearing them for around 30 minutes, my right ear starts hurting with these in. It doesn’t help that the right earbud controls play pause for music. Which means I’m pushing the earbud against my ear, causing more pain, to pause and play music. Great. Music is painful It also doesn’t help that the only way you can use one at a time, is by using the right one. You can’t use the left one along. So it’s either use the right one or both of them, guaranteeing me ear pain.
They have water resistance, and they form a nice seal in your ear. It’s just, the case for them sucks, they might hurt your ears if you have ears like mine, and the hearthrough feature doesn’t work well on these. But what do I think? They’re appealing to the right audience. These are a good earbuds choice for the gym, great sound, to drown out the people on weights grunting. Sound isolation to drown out the people on weights grunting, and sits in your ear snuggly to help you enjoy your music instead of the people on the weights grunting. If you’re looking for a pair of wireless earbuds for sport, these might be it. If you’re looking for something for your everyday use? These aren’t it.

Stuppid noone opening it upside down. But the case lid is hard and opens with a jerk. They will fall out. In public, in a train in any vehicle

Just bought them and out of the box had 80% battery went str8 to gym sound quality is very good bass is amazing as long as it’s all the way up they look great on overall I like them a lot
This is the kind of review that I was looking for. Straightforward. I considered these Jabras, but first I want to try the Galaxy buds, because they are apparently light and comfortable for everyday use.

I use these every day. And have for over a year. The block out weed eating traffic noise. Loud construction. Metal work in the shop. They are my every day carry. I use the hear through at work to talk to customer and coworkers. Its sometimes muffled but in a close range its perfect. If you size up on the cushions the ear pain goes away. Or it did for me
I've had these for over half a year now and agree with all the criticisms, but even though those downsides are there, it just sounds way too good and they don't fall out, still a solid purchase but very nice on you for picking the few things I had a problem with, with these earbuds...mainly the case LOL
The left earbud ended up having being non-functional after 2 months used. I’m glad that they gave me a Warranty which I’m able to get it fixed.

I purchased the Jabra Elite Active 65Ts and on eBay, Jabra is selling reconditioned ones for $69.00 with free shipping. They offer a 180 day warranty on these as well. These have been comfortable to wear (once your ears get use to them) and the music quality is excellent! The pass through sound works fine for me and if you do take an ear bud out, the song pauses until you put it back in. For the price I don’t think you can beat them!
Sadly there are knock off and people bought them and review it badly, luckily the online warranty help to differentiate the original from the knock off. In 2020 it still my favourite beside the Sennheiser momentum
I like the sound quality in these. The only major downside for me is the fit. I find them uncomfortable from the start, even after switching with the different ear tips. I'm looking for earbuds with similar sound and good fit, preferably within the $125 range. Suggestions?

I just got these and have been using them for 2 days now. Everything that's been said about these in the video is spot on! Great review!
My favourite feature? Top of the line sound quality and good for working out (good fit and sweat resistance). This one checks those boxes perfectly and is, as a result, gonna be my daily driver for a year or 2. The case could've been better but that's a minor nitpick for me. No problem when the lid is closed and when you do open it, don't keeo it upside down, simple. The "pain in the right ear" thing is also true but once you use these for a day or 2, you'll learn how to adjust the fit properly and most of that pain will go away.
Please also give your opinion about the mics on these!

These look really cool
3:55 75T is the same, but they are rolling out updates between April and June this year to solve the problem. For me? I'm still waiting for 75T to be released in NZ in the first place. I only got Samsung Buds + today just for calls, and my Sabbat X12 (albeit left-ear only) as my daily driver.
All the problems will be resolved in a few weeks whith the new versión,the 75T.

To open the case? Read the manual! Squeeze the sides and lip will open easy.

hi don't these 65ts Active also read your pulse too and have a sports app there suppose to be highter rated water-resistant the the regular 65ts .the case not been magic is like a box of eggs we soon remember and take note which way round to open them at more than £140 Also can you do a review of the jabra 75ts there little ones with a longer battery life? are worth the upgrade or is all about Apple air pros now ?

Everyone has there own opinion I bought them the other day and I completely enjoyed them I had to keep touching my ears at the gym cause I couldn’t believe they actually locked into place and the quality on the phone is great to to me it’s a all around headphone great for the gym and Everyday use

You can pause music just by taking out the right ear bud. It pauses automatically.

I order the jabra elite active 65t refurbished from Walmart.ca for $69.99 Canadian, when I got the product everything looks brand new the box still have all the plastic sealed. I use it regularly at the gym, the sound quality is great, I love it so far,

After owning them for a few months I love them but the only thing i hate is the fit. It's too snug and sometimes my ear hurts for having them in for long period of time

0:50-0:55 WHAT? Maybe you meant that as humor, not sure. Caressing the bud isn't a function of these buds and does nothing. I guess caressing the bud is simply being kind and gentle as if you were petting a kitty to get it to purr.

Just got these refurbished fro Jabra for $45.00. Why would you want to open with one hand? I agree on the case. Even in my $25.00 Jaybird have a magnetic case. Most earbuds are right or both.

I'm starting to think I have weird ears, cause I got these earbuds based on this review and I can't get them to stay in my ears. I find myself having to adjust them constantly, having to shove them almost uncomfortably deep in my ear to get them to stay for more than a minute.

My brother and I both had pairs, both broke within a year of normal use. Great earbuds, but longevity (in our experience) isn’t there

Just bought these. I’m liking them so far. They are all up in my ear canal but I think I’ve just got to get used to that. Sound quality is great. I just want a somewhat premium option that I can do anything in. I’ll give these a couple of days before deciding!

Bluetooth 5.0 and aptx compatible. Latency is good enough for movie watching which suck on iPods

I don't know if it's just my ears, but, these have an awful fit. They fall out of my ears slowly throughout the day, and they fall out whenever I'm working out. I'm constantly having to adjust them, and I've tried all the eartip sizes
I have those for 1 year now and no problem with the earbuds falling at all.
People are missing the point. If you're making a premium product making it premium through and through. You don't want a rolls Royce with loud doors when you shut them.
KJust picked them up for 25 on Newegg. See what happens; can't go wrong for that price.
Great call quality indoor and outdoor. Bass performance satisfying. During workout stays comfortable in ears. I happy that i purchased them. I dont see much reason to mention or concern about case built quality or design etc.

Good morning. Friend I am from Brazil. I have a Jabra Elite 65t headset and I am having problems with this headset is with the sound very low..and when I increase the sound it distorts. What are the chances of you losing one of the earbuds compared to you losing the case WITH the earbuds in it, yes they track each earbud, not the case I spent 160 on mine and now cant find them and have no way of retrieving them forcing me to buy new wireless earbuds that I cant even track. That's the worst thing about these ear buds by far
Bro so true the sound is awesome but the case sucks and it hurts my ear to…thought I was the only one. I hardly use these because they hurt my ear..lol
No other reviewer covered this, but man! I hated these earbuds. For me, the sound was ok... when I had the right seal. However, whenever I got the perfect seal, I would lose it after about maybe 5 minutes on average. Tried every angle to put the earbuds at, every silicone tip, but the seal didn't stay. So I tried to tell my self, "ok, no seal, not that much of a problem" but with no seal, they sound so hollow. The music sounds like someone singing into a plastic cup. The biggest waste of $220 ever. I sent em straight to eBay, and sold them for what they were worth. ($90)

I bought these and they sound like crap I tried them on my note 10 plus and another Samsung both the same no basee sounded like a toy and eq made very little difference if I was doing something wrong it means there to difficult to use and adjust the sound anyway taking them back to best buy right now

If your ear is hurting use a small ear bud
CJ Fisher that’s what I had to do as the ones they come with (medium size) weren’t very comfortable and hurt my ears. Switching to the small size feels very comfortable and they don’t fall out. I use them when I run outside and rate these as excellent overall with superior sound. They also work well with my first gen Apple Watch so I don’t have to carry my phone with me!

I have one and hate the fact that the left earbuds doesn't work as standalone BT earpiece... Deal breaker indeed!

I purchased Jabra Elite Active 65t from flipkart facing a wierd problem
I am not able to make whatsapp or zoom calls thru my wifi connection while the earbuds is paired
As soon as I make a call my wifi connection gets disconnected
Don't know why, I tried troubleshooting as mentioned in Jabra website by resetting but same problem exists
I even tried with different phones and also different wifi router but same issue

I have been using Bluetooth for 6.5 years. Before I bought it I used Airpod2, elit 65t.
This Tozo 12 bud is from future, Class apert.

Don't find them great at all. Fitment is terrible. Gone back to the earphones that came with the phone.
Bad review the case is small and it gives you 10 hours on the go and it will stay closed in your pocket and you can open the case with one hand you press the sides under the lid and it pops open you just have to be careful the only let down with the case is the buds don,t lock into place with magnets don,t get you with that review would you be happy with crap buds and a great case, what do u want out of a case all i want is it to be as small as possible and hold a good charge with it does

to be honest I hate them I need a Beanie so they don't fall but I do have small ears so who knows apple or Bose work better n its true they do hurt after an 1 hr or so the sounds its a skull candy shit headphones but they last me 3 years that I use them 1 every full moon n still this shits going strong 🤣🔥👊
