:BIG SIGH: FINAL Update: With disappointment, I can longer recommend these earbuds. The 2nd Unit that I received, I treated with the utmost care and unfortunately it also malfunctioned. I can't quite pin point what the issue is, but either the case is discharging the earbuds, the earbuds aren't turning off OR the earbuds themselves just aren't recharging properly. With a fully charged case, I'm consistently taking the earbuds out the case with only 40% or 70%. I've tried different cables, and the issue is persistent. The only way I get them to fully charge is by charging the case with the earbuds inside, I can't get a full charge from the case itself. Whatever the issue is, I shouldn't be experiencing this. Sorry folks, I'm just as disappointed as you are. I really liked these too.

If you pair these jabra ones with an iPhone, can you also see how charged the case is? or just the earbuds. Or is there any way to know for sure when case is fully charged. (as you mentioned i believe, that it's green when they are well charged, which can be 80 to 100%)
Just picked these up. Your review was a major factor in me pulling the trigger. I used them this morning for 45 minutes in the weight room followed by 25 minutes on the elliptical and they were awesome. They never felt like they would fall out. The sounds was better than expected and no lag when watching a video while doing cardio. Basically, everything you said was spot on. Thanks!

Hey Guys so I wanted to give you guys a 2nd. Much NEEDED update. I noticed a lot of people saying they're experiencing sync delays. I never experienced this on my Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 XL, or Galaxy Note 9....HOWEVER now that I'm using these earbuds on the iPhone XS Max - I'm experiencing SEVERE audio delays when typing on keyboard and watching videos, lip sync is Wayyyyy off. A reset didn't help either. I'm not sure if Apple purposely hinders performance of earbuds that are not airpods. But it's just a precaution. These work perfect on Android. Do what you wish with this info, hope it helps!
TeQreation I use an iPhone 8 Plus with the Elite Active 65t. No delays. I just upgraded to these literally a few hours ago from the Elite 65t. Caught on ‘em on sale (Best Buy $139) downtown Brooklyn. Both are beasts! Seems like my bass was fuller/richer with the Elite 65t tho. Could just be my ears adjusting🤷🏽♂️. Definitely not a complaint (the bass still goes hard), just a quick audio observation on my end. Side fact, I’ve taken showers with both the Elite 65t and with the Active Elite 65t. No problem(s) at all! A quick shower after the gym without any loss of my music or comfort is a game-changer for me. I don’t do this everyday of course but I do it enough to know that Jabra meant business when designing these buds. They are an investment to those just looking at the price and still on the fence: it’s peace of mind. No piece of tech is perfect but Jabra ain’t playing with these! I could never go wired again and certainly for me at least $168-189 communicates value. I look at the Active Elite 65t now just as an extension of my lifestyle - an extension that you don’t know you need until you get ‘em. I've got the jaybird runs and I bought the jabras for my wife for Christmas and I was blown away by the way they felt and the sound quality! I'll be taking the jaybirds back and swapping them out with the warranty I've got on them at best buy

These are the best wireless earbuds, sound quality is amazing and very comfortable so long as you're wearing the right ear size. Doesn't fall when i workout, i did jumps and push ups, seems to stay in place. Waterproof too.
Update: The unit in this video Malfunctioned. What happened? Despite them charging, The LED's on the earbuds no longer lit up when opening the case. So I never knew battery life. Also the right earbud periodically let of a sharp ear piercing ring. Cause? Admittingly, I have dropped them dozen times. Almost positive that had something to do with jt. Solution? Jabra has incredible customer support. I returned them, they shipped me a new one. No hassle. So far so good. New unit even feels a bit different, But it could just be a placebo effect. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I just bought these and after I got home just spent the last 10min trying to get the case to open without breaking it. Much easier to open when pressing on either side.
I bought my set from Best Buy right when they came out (looks like BB has an exclusive on a black color, both on the earbuds and the case). Love them, and I too have bought 5 or 6 various cheapy units from Asia, on Amazon. Like you said, the phone call part of these might be the best part of these. No one has ever had any issues hearing me, so I use these for work all day, so comfortable, excellent music sound - really just the best units I've found, and I've told a few others about them as well. They all like them also. Good review!

My experience with the Jabra Elite 65t Active almost exactly mirrors your video and I like how you play it straight and don't embellish. I wanted the black ones to match my phone, but they only had the blue/brass colour combo when I purchased them. I've had them for about three months now and I still love them.

I have the Active's now, no delay with video (maybe due to Bluetooth 5), I find them good for walks and bike rides too. I have tried others like BeatsX, AirPods & my daughter's Powerbeats3 and they all fail in comparison. The Active's are comfortable and cover most features among the rest.

These are INCREDIBLE. Mess with every rubber fitting before giving up. I tried two and was disappointed then put the 3rd pair in and I was AMAZED. Great for music and making calls
Nicely done review!! Everything that was said was on point, only thing that I am having trouble with is the noisy environment conditions. Everyone says they can hear me but the background noise is still very loud. I would recommend this ear buds and won't be disappointed but not good for truck drivers or conditions.

Everything you say was spot on. I was hestitate choosing among Jabra Elite Active 65t, Bose SoundSport Free (so bulky, you look weird putting these on), Samsung Gear IconX 2018, and Sony WF-1000x. I'm really happy with this.
As a seasoned bench technician I have, over the years, seen recharging issues solved very easily whenever gold plated contacts are involved. Wrapping one thin layer of a microfiber cloth around the stem of a cotton swap can very often be used to polish the contacts and restore function. Just first cut of the cotton tip using scissors and wrap a thin layer of your cloth around the stick. Simple polishing. Also, USB connectors of all types are not maintenance free. They too need care. Try finding a non-petroleum based electrical contact cleaner. I recommend Cramolin. Caig Labs used to distribute it. Someone else may. But the product is Cramolin is available all over the world and it is a life saving chemical for these situations. We never want to spoil the gold plating. It increases conductivity greatly. Do not spray it on the earbuds either. But you can spray it on USB connections. Especially the female sockets which are not as easily replaced as a simple cable. many good (but cheap!) chargers are tossed and all they need is a spurt of contact cleaner and they are back to life. Thank you for your excellent presentation. No time wasting. Just good information and demonstration.

I owned the Bose soundsport, but size and portability was an issue though sound was great. It was also good in noisy areas. I recently bought the Samsung Iconx and though they are nice and small, but in noisy areas it just doesn't work well. I just purchased the Jabras after watching this video, in hope that I can get great call quality in noisy environments with a low profile look. Thanks

I loved these in every way over almost any other product it competes with in its price range...except in comfort. In ear plugs are uncomfortable for me in general, but these were not for me. I couldn’t use them longer than 30-45 min at a time. Loved the audio, but felt a constant pressure in my ear, and after an hour my whole ear would be hurting from holding the ear piece in place. Returned them and got AirPod 2s. Miss the Jabras features but I like not feeling pain in my ears.
i just got these earbuds yesterday, and they're amazing. They come with two-year warranty. If it ever malfunctions or has problems, I can just go report the issue and they'll send me another one.

My first impression was that these are great. Sound, connectivity, fit, all was good. However, after a week of use, the right earbud didn't turn off or on automatically while putting it in the charging case. It still worked, but it had to be turned on/off manually. Also, the charging case itself didn't charge. Had to send it back. Looking at some reviews at Jabras FB page this seems to be a problem others have had. Waiting for my replacement buds, hope they don't have the same problem!
Any issues with the connection dropping out? That's my main beef with the el cheapo ear buds that's making me consider investing a little more into these.
You made a great review video for these. I am definitely going to check these out. I personally am looking forward to using these with my Pixel 2 XL and Google Assistant instead of Elexa. These look like what the Pixel Buds should've been.
Best I’ve ever had. I do tree surgery, landscaping, no to mention outdoor activity. Only thing is keep rubber buds cleaned out. Your ear produces more wax to protect your ear drums. I got 1 pair for free because someone didn’t listen. 2 minutes later they worked like new.

GREAT video! Just got my 65t Actives the other day and so far so good. Yeah, the bass is very lacking but for wireless buds, not the worst. Need to know where you got the cool gel pads for your buds? The stock ones are a little bit uncomfortable and sure there is a better option out there.
Unfortunately I did not like these ear buds. I could not get the left to sync up all the time. The sound was not that impressive for me to keep. Switched to Bose Soundsport Free. could not be happier.

Just got mine today, so far everything it's fine the sound is good but not great, now when I like touch the left earbud or move it in my ear or press it down to put it back in place if they move or sum... the sounds just goes out shortly but then it comes back about 3-5 second or so it's not a major issue yet! But its deff somthing I dont like I do it to the right side and it doesn't happend so idk I'll give them a chance but if these continues or more problems surface... I'm trading these bad boys but damn they are sexy lol
I purchased Jabra Elite Active 65t from flipkart facing a wierd problem I am not able to make whatsapp or zoom calls thru my wifi connection while the earbuds is paired As soon as I make a call my wifi connection gets disconnected Don't know why, I tried troubleshooting as mentioned in Jabra website by resetting but same problem exists I even tried with different phones and also different wifi router but same issue
I bought these highly based on your review, they sync great and fit pretty well but on my first bike ride they fell out twice. Not sure if having a hat and glasses on had any affect but, good news they work fine after being dropped, hoping i don’t experience malfunctions as you have.

I have tried several cheap "Amazon best-selling" TWS earbuds below $50, but they all sucks!! I came across Rowkin some time ago. Can you connect 2 Jabra bluetooth headsets together and then connect to a device. So that two people can hear the same music at the same time. Bosa has this feature through their app, but I am looking for sleeker earbuds and were recommended Jabra. My main concern is that two earbuds can pair to the same device and listen at the same time! coming from an AirPods perspective: Biggest like: they stay in with confidence, AirPods fell out easily. comfortable. I like that 8 devices. can be connected, and 2 simultaneously ... although when MBP and iPhone are both connected, the MBP UA-cam playback suffers one second skips in playback. However, no latency in video-matching-sound problems at all, spot on. Equalizer does nothing for me though ... I do not detect any sound change at all in sound from the presets. Hear-though is okay ... not sure, what I think about them overall ... wanting to like this a lot. I do agree that the person you are speaking to on phone calls can hear you clearly ... did a blind test with to called parties, and they could not distinguish whether I was using my AirPods, or the Jabra units ...

Guys the Samsung icons 2018 are also an amazing pair of Bluetooth earbuds...been using and would highly recommend it is comfortable and sounds great

These are INCREDIBLE. Mess with every rubber fitting before giving up. I tried two and was disappointed then put the 3rd pair in and I was AMAZED. Great for music and making calls

Nicely done review!! Everything that was said was on point, only thing that I am having trouble with is the noisy environment conditions. Everyone says they can hear me but the background noise is still very loud. I would recommend this ear buds and won't be disappointed but not good for truck drivers or conditions.

Everything you say was spot on. I was hestitate choosing among Jabra Elite Active 65t, Bose SoundSport Free (so bulky, you look weird putting these on), Samsung Gear IconX 2018, and Sony WF-1000x. I'm really happy with this.
As a seasoned bench technician I have, over the years, seen recharging issues solved very easily whenever gold plated contacts are involved. Wrapping one thin layer of a microfiber cloth around the stem of a cotton swap can very often be used to polish the contacts and restore function. Just first cut of the cotton tip using scissors and wrap a thin layer of your cloth around the stick. Simple polishing. Also, USB connectors of all types are not maintenance free. They too need care. Try finding a non-petroleum based electrical contact cleaner. I recommend Cramolin. Caig Labs used to distribute it. Someone else may. But the product is Cramolin is available all over the world and it is a life saving chemical for these situations. We never want to spoil the gold plating. It increases conductivity greatly. Do not spray it on the earbuds either. But you can spray it on USB connections. Especially the female sockets which are not as easily replaced as a simple cable. many good (but cheap!) chargers are tossed and all they need is a spurt of contact cleaner and they are back to life. Thank you for your excellent presentation. No time wasting. Just good information and demonstration.

@@jacksonkirk8022 we have too many charging cables hanging around already. its superhelpful to me that my laptop and phone are both usb-c so i only need to bring one charger around.
@@jacksonkirk8022 It's not that big of a deal as everyone makes it. It charges the exact same way as the micro-usb does. People just make it a big deal without a big deal even being there. The only difference is a different damn plug "OMG IT'S NOT EVEN USB TYPE C! THE WORLD IS GOING TO END!!!!" No, they are just a bunch of whining bitches.
i just picked up the non-active set. the fit is perfect and i have very fussy ears when it comes to IEM's.

I owned the Bose soundsport, but size and portability was an issue though sound was great. It was also good in noisy areas.
I recently bought the Samsung Iconx and though they are nice and small, but in noisy areas it just doesn't work well. I just purchased the Jabras after watching this video, in hope that I can get great call quality in noisy environments with a low profile look. Thanks
The iconx has a lot less noise cancellation than I hoped for I agree...the single flaw of these headphones imo

I work in a machine shop where there is always background noise. I've tried Jabra and Samsung but the person on the other side could never hear me because of the background noise. The Bose not only gives me the best music, it's the only pair of earbuds that allow me to speak in a normal vioce while on a phone call. I bought another pair of Bose and sold the other two

I loved these in every way over almost any other product it competes with in its price range...except in comfort. In ear plugs are uncomfortable for me in general, but these were not for me. I couldn’t use them longer than 30-45 min at a time. Loved the audio, but felt a constant pressure in my ear, and after an hour my whole ear would be hurting from holding the ear piece in place.
Returned them and got AirPod 2s. Miss the Jabras features but I like not feeling pain in my ears.
i just got these earbuds yesterday, and they're amazing. They come with two-year warranty. If it ever malfunctions or has problems, I can just go report the issue and they'll send me another one.

How were they?
My first impression was that these are great. Sound, connectivity, fit, all was good. However, after a week of use, the right earbud didn't turn off or on automatically while putting it in the charging case. It still worked, but it had to be turned on/off manually. Also, the charging case itself didn't charge. Had to send it back. Looking at some reviews at Jabras FB page this seems to be a problem others have had. Waiting for my replacement buds, hope they don't have the same problem!

Any issues with the connection dropping out? That's my main beef with the el cheapo ear buds that's making me consider investing a little more into these.
You made a great review video for these. I am definitely going to check these out. I personally am looking forward to using these with my Pixel 2 XL and Google Assistant instead of Elexa. These look like what the Pixel Buds should've been.

Best I’ve ever had. I do tree surgery, landscaping, no to mention outdoor activity. Only thing is keep rubber buds cleaned out. Your ear produces more wax to protect your ear drums. I got 1 pair for free because someone didn’t listen. 2 minutes later they worked like new.

Excellent review Guy! I bought those Bose soundsport free yesterday and the sound is amazing listening to the radio or music! But I am going to return them because the phone calls are only in 1 ear in the right earbud. I’ll get the jabra elite active 65t instead. It says the phone callls are in stereo. Great review, thanks.
GREAT video! Just got my 65t Actives the other day and so far so good. Yeah, the bass is very lacking but for wireless buds, not the worst. Need to know where you got the cool gel pads for your buds? The stock ones are a little bit uncomfortable and sure there is a better option out there.
Just bought mine today. And it beats most of those that came out recently. Nice. Wish the charging cable is longer though and is type-c.

Unfortunately I did not like these ear buds. I could not get the left to sync up all the time. The sound was not that impressive for me to keep. Switched to Bose Soundsport Free. could not be happier.
Nice video. I subscribed. Just ordered the best buy exclusive color way. I have returned Bose and Jaybird runs this month due to video sync issues. I hear this model doesn't have that issue. My son will be happy I hope. As we are huge UA-cam consumers. 👍( On Android )

how were they
Just got mine today, so far everything it's fine the sound is good but not great, now when I like touch the left earbud or move it in my ear or press it down to put it back in place if they move or sum... the sounds just goes out shortly but then it comes back about 3-5 second or so it's not a major issue yet! But its deff somthing I dont like I do it to the right side and it doesn't happend so idk I'll give them a chance but if these continues or more problems surface... I'm trading these bad boys but damn they are sexy lol

I purchased Jabra Elite Active 65t from flipkart facing a wierd problem
I am not able to make whatsapp or zoom calls thru my wifi connection while the earbuds is paired
As soon as I make a call my wifi connection gets disconnected
Don't know why, I tried troubleshooting as mentioned in Jabra website by resetting but same problem exists
I even tried with different phones and also different wifi router but same issue

I bought these highly based on your review, they sync great and fit pretty well but on my first bike ride they fell out twice. Not sure if having a hat and glasses on had any affect but, good news they work fine after being dropped, hoping i don’t experience malfunctions as you have.

Bluetooth 5.0 is backwards compatible so yes.

Hey Jeremy, great detailed information on Jabra! Love the video! However, Jabra is out of my budget range... Have you had any experience with a TWS brand called Rowkin? I have tried several cheap "Amazon best-selling" TWS earbuds below $50, but they all sucks!! I came across Rowkin some time ago. Their price seems to be reasonable, in the mid-tier, but I don't know how they perform in the real life. Since you are such a great reviewer, could you review one of Rowkin TWS earbuds? Can you connect 2 Jabra bluetooth headsets together and then connect to a device. So that two people can hear the same music at the same time. Bosa has this feature through their app, but I am looking for sleeker earbuds and were recommended Jabra.
My main concern is that two earbuds can pair to the same device and listen at the same time!

coming from an AirPods perspective: Biggest like: they stay in with confidence, AirPods fell out easily. comfortable. I like that 8 devices. can be connected, and 2 simultaneously ... although when MBP and iPhone are both connected, the MBP UA-cam playback suffers one second skips in playback. However, no latency in video-matching-sound problems at all, spot on. Equalizer does nothing for me though ... I do not detect any sound change at all in sound from the presets. Hear-though is okay ... not sure, what I think about them overall ... wanting to like this a lot. I do agree that the person you are speaking to on phone calls can hear you clearly ... did a blind test with to called parties, and they could not distinguish whether I was using my AirPods, or the Jabra units ...
