When It Seems Like God Isn't Listening

- Francis Chan, Sam Storms, and Brian Davis delve into the importance of persistence, hope, and trust in Christi through prayer. They discuss the biblical example of the persistent widow and encourage believers to persist in prayer, even in the face of apparent silence from Heaven.
They examine the paradox of Jesus's teachings on asking and seeking God, emphasizing God's wisdom and sovereignty. They share experiences of growth through persistent prayer and discuss the importance of distinguishing between self-serving desires and God's plans for our lives.
Finally, they encourage listeners to trust in God's ultimate good and glory, believing that His purposes, which may be different from our own, bring about our sanctification and His glory.

This is a great video! Thanks TGC! I appreciate the wisdom and Biblical thoughtfulness of Chan, Storms, and Davis. Again, thank you!
There is a shift in petition , when because the promises are "Yea" and "Amen", paid for by a precious price, that my asking for a thing turns to giving thanks for a thing. Making patiently waiting easier, joyous in the revelation that it's already done.
Thankful for both Francis and Sam!
Thank you very much brother Sam Storms and Francis Chan and the other guy, sorry did not get your name brother, and also thank you to TGC for providing this conversation and this video. Appreciate it.

Good to see charasmatics and men of god who believe in the gifts of the spirit on the gospel coalition. As our brothers in christ who oppose them cannot find a verse in the bible where it says the gifts of the spirit stopped.
You are right about gifts of the Spirit. In Acts 2:17 Peter quotes Joel saying that God will pour out his Spirit in prophecies, visions and dreams in the last days. And this most naturally suggests that God will do this throughout the last days.
Why is Francis Chan here? Is he a part of TGC? If so that's disappointing.
:(
Why is it disappointing?
Why do you think that?
None of us have perfect knowledge & theology, we are all sinners saved by grace; and this is just a conversation of living in faith as a community.
Regardless of theological differences, with exception of rejection of core Biblical truths, we should take care not to point to the speck in another's eye, least Jesus points to the log in our own.
Christians take down other Christians faster than anyone in the world. We have to be mature about where we draw red lines when it comes to doctrine. Draw it too tight, and you'll be the only member of your church, to illustrate the absurdity of criticizing Chan's involvement.
Sam Storms and Francis Chan are not men we should be taking spiritual advice from.
Why?
@@IWasBlindButNowISeeJesus Their support for the NAR and Chan's ecumenism (specifically regarding Catholicism).
@@chriswatson276point me to a heretical thing either Sam or Francis has said.
Storms supports the NAR? Not in any of his books I've read or any of his sermons I've listened to.
Why?
What direction is TGC taking, this is bad news. 👎
Why do you say that?
Maybe because God isn't real.
Lots of scientists these days are convinced we aren’t real.. yet none can even come close to showing god isn’t real
@@johnhammond6423 I guess you don’t follow Dan Dennett and similar materialists
@@johnhammond6423 we as in the self. Are not real. The material is real and that which we call I is an illusion. And that is a large portion of the scientific community who believes that. Another large portion would say we are emergent and “real” in a sense. Either way the scientific community is having a real struggle with the individual… it’s no where near taking on the concept of God
