If you want to do a story: get your ability to say THEIR NAMES correctly and the group! They have more talent with these 5 than many many others!! They are insane live so I know how fabulous they are! Do not put them down! PTX followers are very good at seeing how talented they all are! Three started in high school and just grew! ❤
PTX is an amazingly talented group. Their fans love them to bits but they have jealous haters too. Haters should watch their live private performances for Make A Wish Foundation and reporters without a mike . That should settle the autotune accusations. Check out Daft Punk and their original Love Again private performances
I gave this a thumbs down because of the mis pronunciations and the way the information seemed to be just thrown together in a rather disorganized and unprofessional way. Don't they have anyone to edit this stuff? I watched a movie review that could have been by the same creator name that was inaccurate, full of mis pronunciations and was thrown together in the same sloppy way. If you're not going to do a good, thorough job why bother?

As a music major i find your pronunciation of a capella…..with an hard A sound disturbing. It is NOT said that way….it is a capella with a short a sound. The terms in music mostly Latin and Italian are not literal. Please adjust your usage…..make you just look ignorant!

What I will say and continue to say is being dropped by their first record lable was a blessing, they could have been one of these bands that sat back and let other people make the decisions for them and I guess the when the record lable had got tired of them, they would have moved on to someone/something new. Havig to fight for what they wanted, having to get up at silly o'clock in the morning just to do a three minute song on breakfast tv (finding their own way there and back). Doing interview that sometime they were really to tired to do....ect. In todays moden world to win a singing, dancing or music show means you are famous for a while till the next big thing that comes along then forgotten or pushed to one side, having done it the hard way through hard work and detirmination meant that they set the bar high and have stayed there for all these years.. I won't say that one day the next best thing will sweep them to the sidelines or they go their seperate ways most are married and have children ( maybe the next best thing will be the children of Pentatonix and we will get C-Pex (children Pentatonix) but untill that time I am happy to watch and listen and to follow along with these six talented people who have brough joy and laugher to my life and everyone else that love them. Last thing who on earth does not know how to say Pentatonix, Acapella and the name Olusola and that picture of Kirstin did that have to be there.
I have experience in the a cappella world, and I like Pentatonix. However, as Fil, at Wings of Pegasus, has made clear, Pentatonix, like almost all label groups today, make use of electronic alteration. It is virtually de rigueur in the regimented music industry, and younger artists are neither willing nor able to buck the trend. I prefer Chanticleer or Voces8. The days of vocal groups like The Beach Boys, and vocalists like Karen Carpenter and Ann Wilson, all natural and unaltered, are over.

Dr. Discovery has managed to make a history of the Pentatonix the is so mediocre that the good Dr. eveen mispronounces their name. Hopefully the good Dr. will improve in a short time.
They were all so at least the first three that were best friends at the start they were on Bones on season 11 or 12. They were pretty good acting too. They have wonderful voices all of them
How is it that you get paid to be the voiceover but, you then destroy the video by slaughtering and mispronouncing that most 8 year olds can say? Do you not have anyone that can critique your kindergarten level understanding of the English language? It is aggravating to listen to.
They are good ..... although Avi is not with the group anymore (Bass Singer) pictured on the far left in close up shot. Home Free - also a winner of the show though - near 15 years longer singing with a few changes in the cast ...... stronger singers and more adventurous in themes and videos whereas this Pentatonix style is more traditional.

I liked them. A lot. But when they included Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah in a CHRISTmas album I had to turn them off. That song is no CHRISTmas song and even borders on heretical. I just couldn’t believe they were so out of touch and disconnected with what they were singing.
It isnt Xmas music,but it is not heretical. Part of it is about David and Bathsheba in the bible, and part is about Leonard Cohen's broken heart in London.
Can you justify that statement? By what metric do you use to determine who is better? I can see how you might prefer both of those excellent groups, but to claim they are better is a stretch.
The three groups are all very good in their own way, as is Voctave, too. However, Pentatonix led the way to the acappella popularity. PTX won the Sing-Off in season 3 in 2011. They then soared in popularity, winning a Grammy award in 2015, 2016, and 2017. No other acappella group has won any Grammy awards. PTX also made recording companies sit up, take notice, and realize that good acappella groups could sell records and make money. Their album, "That's Christmas To Me," was the forth best selling album in the U.S. in 2014. Home Free had been singing and touring since 2000, but was not nationally and internationally popular until they won season 4 of the Sing-Off in 2013. Voiceplay also competed in the competition that year but did not win. Once Pentatonix made acappella music cool, all the other acappella groups began to become popular and attract large fan groups.
Pentatonix has a walk on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (first acapella group to earn this honor)…THE FIRST acapella group to win THREE Grammys-and they spend 8-10 hours a day practicing. They are the #1 selling acapella group in the world . Period.

I don't understand the evil picture of Kirstin with Laura Ingrahnm - I really enjoy their creativeness and music.

I like a lot of what Pentatonix does, but hated their version of the National Anthem at one of the football games on Christmas Day this year...
