So while I was watching this video the Odogaron literally came and dumped a ligiana corpse infront of me in its lair before then leaving without as much looking at me... Apparently you don't even actually need the reseacher there either... XD

I just put the meat down directly in the Plunderer's lair with the ghille mantle on, and they took it and immediately started the next part.

You only need to talk to the npc once. i talked to him once but the cat didn't appear. When i entered the area (the npc wasn't there) i took my Ghillie mantle and waited until Odogoron showed up with the corps. shortly after he left tbe cat appeared and i was able to follow it.
so it's not the NPC doesn't have to be there
Was in the arena just this morning beating monsters with the plunderblade
Dont have to worry about missing anything since the pieces are easier to spot when you arent running everywhere on a map and fighting solo means it takes longer so your palico gets more parts
It was like I hit buried treasure
My heart melted when they took the food and when my Palico talked to them.

Don't need for no researcher. Doesn't matter what rank ether. Only matter is that odogoran has to be in rotten wale. Go to section 13 simply wait him to bring corspe. Great video anyways thanks for the help

just go to area 15 and the cat will be there, you dont need to talk to the scientist or follow the monster, just go to area 15, cat will scare off and go drop the raw meat and wait nearby for your cat to talk to them, easy peasy :D
Or just go to 13 area once you spot the palico
Drop the meat wear ghillie mantle , it takes it and done

you dont need the researcher to spawn to do this quest, just wait till the odogaron bring the carcass and follow the steps of the video.

So I had a bunch on round chicken things with long legs fall off one of this giant multi winged flying bugs on Coral Highlands. Anyone else? I was so confused I failed to catch one. Tried since shooting at least 50 down and nothing... Tried looking it up, nothing...
TheOneTheOnly W Yes, they are rare endemic life. I forget their name, but they appear in different maps riding on the back of different animals. You have to be hidden in a bush it using the ghuille mantle to capture them successfully.

those are crakes, and the rarer version of them can only be found in rotten vale. theyre kinda cute.

In my run, I didn't have to wait for the odogaron. I skipped thay oart entirely
Nel Nel Same here, I was worried when I heard you might have to face a boss just to get it but never had to deal with that crap
The hardest part is finding the palicos (at least it was for me in the forest, the camera never zoomed towards one so even though I found their map it didnt count because I didnt follow it)
And even then getting the gadgets tends to be pretty straight forward

but the developer shows kirin armor at vaal hazak demo gameplay in japan.. it obviously had kirin in mhw.
I don't know what a vaal hazak is either. I came to this video to find out about the plunder blade and not whatever the hell that was. I have intentionally made an effort not to spoil the game for myself.

The game has been out a while now, so if you were that interested in the game you would have fought both those monsters already.
