Pet finder is a disappointment. Theses horses deserve a chance.
What an asset Kory is to Horse Plus. I particularly like the way he explains what he doing during training and why. It's wonderful he is not embarrassed to show how much he adores these horses. Thank you Kory. X
I agree. He is so good with the horses
I agree. So patient and calm.
Truly.. a gentle giant. He just seems like the nicest man.
That’s cute that Junes hanging out in the office looking to adopt a human… love it!
The additional vet care that is now been given to your beautiful rescues is amazing. Fantastic organisation. Keep up the good work. I do hope June continues to improve.
If I could, I would adopt June. She's such a lovely horse.
She is gorgeous. I truly hope she continues to do well!
100% agree
I really like this farrier team. Knowledgeable, gives breaks when the horses or donkeys ask for one, and very aware of the equines. They have been invaluable to the drafts with all those foot problems.
Poor babies! 😔 I feel so bad for these animals and the suffering they had to go through before they got rescued by you all and are now so well taken care of and loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you are doing‼️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ditto!!☺
My thoughts exactly!
Absolutely heartwarming to see your Updates. The care and Training that these animals get is the very best. All your Staff are wonderful
Really interesting hearing the vet care for the equines
Never knew that about rubbing the face to release dopamine!🐎🐎
You could honestly do a whole episode about June! From auction to wellness and adoption would be an absolutely amazing show!
YES!
yessssss
Yes as well! 👍👍👍👍👍
4th yes!
Never have I seen such care given to the administration of an enema. Great stuff guys! Everyone there is so caring and capable.
Woo-hoo Ms June. Deciding to trot on her own definitely shows her will to live and do her best to recover!
Signed the petition and sent to my horse friends so they could too. You guys do such great work. Love watching you and all the wonderful work you do saving these babies.♥️👍
Hi again
Well done everyone! Putting all back together fixing the neglect and abuse can be quite a process but all of your TLC and patience is paying off especially for sweet June.
Great work everyone and heartfelt thx as always...
I don't envy you guys the humid heat. Hang in there. Stay cool. 💞
Same here! I feel really bad for all of them working through the heat. I don't take the heat very well. Let's say I wilt. I'm truly thankful for everyone's dedication at HPHS
It’s the humidity that kicks my behind. Why I live in San Diego. Except its even humid here these last few days! 😩
This was a great show! Exactly what I wanted to see! Cameos of various horses’ progress (good or bad, reality) and to see day to day life at Horse Plus. Thank you.
The vet should be the one who adopts her, she has nursed June 24 7 around the clock and you can see the love she has for her.
Talking about June, with the lady vet she would be the perfect adopter.
I wrote to one of our local news stations about Petfinder. I also emailed them personally. And signed the petition. That June is such a trooper! I hope she gets better and what a wonderful thing it will be to see her trotting or even faster around the pasture!! I’ll elk you our wasp story…my daughter and I used to clean peoples house windows. She is terrified of bees and wasps and I’m not good at heights so she would climb the ladder and clean the outsides of the windows. And I would be on the inside of the window…holding my daughter by her pants belt loops so if a bee buzzed by her and she instinctly jumped away from it I could save her!😖🥺🙄😂
Petfinder may be receiving significant funding from other entities with a stipulation not to accept rescue horses from slaughter auctions. Otherwise a rescue is a rescue. It shouldn't matter if fees were paid or not to rescue a horse.
Good point. So it would be great if those ‘restrictive donors’ could be identified and the fallout explained.
@@didntlistendad I really suspect Purina uses horse meat in their pet food products so definitely a conflict of interest there
Agree, Petfinder is being told by a large donor or corporation not to work with rescues from the slaughter pipeline! Shameful!
@@sandyverwys770 that’s interesting. My worst thought was kill buyers at work. But I couldn’t see a logical connection. Mind you even if they were involved it would not explain the company taking a stance that affects other animals besides horses.
Im here 2 years later. It both surprises me and doesnt. I've heard so many stories about investigators finding their dogs are sourced from puppy mills. And Petfinders is run by a dog food company. Less horses in slaughter = less food production. More dogs = more food. More horses in slaughter = more money
June's eyes are nice and bright!
Great to see all the horses and donkeys and the progress they’re making. Always good to see Kory’s training videos. The vet team and farrier team are fantastic. You’re all doing amazing work. Thank you.
Snow reminds me of a rescue my cousin got the way she reacts to the rope and other things flying about. It was a sign of this horse being held on a lead rope and beaten with the end. Maybe this is Snow's trauma too which also will explain her aversion to being caught? All they can think when they see the rope and halter is oh no, not again. We found that by dragging the rope instead of holding it high helped and snacks when they came with no rope showing at all. It took a while, but we did manage to help them overcome. Like you said, you pay attention to any movements that cause them trauma and then work until you find the way that works for that particular horse. As just like kids, everyone is different.
Kory is absomutely amazing. I love to watch.him. I learn so.much and the he does amazing work with the horsrs. It's fascinating, Kory
Praying for June x she is so lovely and seeing her in the office was so sweet x she is certainly bonded with Jenna
June's feet look so much better! Her face looks so much better! She is super bright eyed to boot! Go June!!!
Yea!! farriers did a great job.
Thank you for sharing this day to day updates, love everything y'all do!🤩😎☺️
I love everyone at HPHS for different reasons, and I am v impressed by Dr. Young for how down to earth she is, and how well she explains everything, but Jenna has a special place in my heart. She also explains things v well, and has a great sense of humour. I so hope June pulls through; she deserves to after all she's overcome so far ❤️. Love to all from a Brit in Spain, 😊🤗
I absolutely love Kory for his calm gentle training methods. I watch a lot of horse training videos, and he is phenomenal. He reminds me of Ryan Renolds in his gentle but strong approach. Another great young trainer is Amry Palmer out of Arizona.
Try an old Indian trick. An elder Indian taught me this, many yrs ago. And I always do it to every horse I’ve handled. Wilts great calming happening. When you rub face/head; blow a soft puff of breath in their nostrils. This gives them your sent. They’ll then know/sense that they don’t have to fear you. No flight; no fight! It works.
My favorite-not...disimpaction in humans. But it does save lives. you do love horses!!
that gal who adopted Tonka is a very good rider, she is very confident. Good fit-!
Kory is one of the best assets for horse plus. The vet techs and vets. And Garrik Look how much the animals appreciate them. But kory that man has been such a blessing for you guys!! The best trainer by far I’ve seen
Everyone works hard but they still manage to have fun at work. You can see you all love what you do!
Shame on pet finder. You are helping horses 🐎 that are in need. They have to be paid for do they not understand that. Praying they change their minds. You do an amazing job.God bless each and everyone of you.
I am also praying they will change their mind. ( in Jesus name)
I love Kody's work with the grey mare. He's brave to work with an ear pinner. I loved teaching my horse that method, and she never ran away from me again! June's doing great too, but I understand it's day by day. Great video!
June is looking tons better!
I actually recognize the farrier apprentice! He's my farrier now and does great work!
I like the way you save horse and give the horse a good home Nannette
I signed the petition. So many have wondered or suggested why you all don't start your own "pet finders" I know it would require more people, organization, funds, etc but you can do it! I wish I could adopt a horse from you but at 67 my horse days are over although I think a pair of minis pulling a cart would be wonderful alas I live in Southern Arizona. Think about it, Tawny and Jason.
It is as though these beautiful animals know that they are being helped. Thank you for all you for them.
LOVE the adoption photo of Tonka!! 😍
If pet finder doesn't allow you to use their platform. Start a horse finder platform. Crazy!
They also have cats and other critters they adopt out.
You should create Horse Plus Pet Finder. I'll never deal with Pet Finder. Maybe they were bribed by the slaughter trucks' owners!
More fruit, June! Us old ladies need that moister fiber foods, lol
June is such a sweet soul ❤️
I love all that y'all do. If had the means to do so I would adopt June in a heartbeat
Great explanation by Jenna on June. Kory is another who explains what he is doing really well. Hope Doc is doing well and going to be back soon.
Awesome video.....true life at its greatest!
Could per finder be being pressured by the wealth behind big lick, sorry if I am being to open Im Australian, I love following Junes progress
I think they were really targeting the puppy mills and 'rescues' buying puppies and dogs to then 'adopt' out. Didn't take into account the animals saved from slaughter. A dog rescue that buys the dogs from the dogmeat farms to bring to the US was also targeted. Petfinder is owned by Purina. If anything, they are protecting possible sources of meat for their pet foods.
Don't apologize for being Australian and open. I am beside Tennessee, and I believe that sometimes rescues should pick and choose their battles.
The Petfinder battle is one I think they should be "picking and choosing".
But as you stated, could pressure be put on Petfinder from people that GHHS OPPOSE? OR, could Purina also sponsor Big Lick shows?
They make all kinds of Livestock feed.
This is just something that Petfinder chose to do. And it was written in. Why poke the bear?
If you are going to be an ocean in a movement, make your waves bigger, and your own platform.
Everything has to start somewhere.
I wonder if Petfinder is getting flack from kill buyers, etc. If they are and they have succumbed to them, then shame on them. It is odd to me that it doesn't sound like they have given a good reason. Usually, when someone skirts around the problem, there is something sketchy about it!
I'm wondering if they are getting hit on getting enough meat for their Purina pet food products.
you are amazing people the things you do for them horses is unbelieveable, the idiots who abuse you for what you do for them animals should be ashamed of themselves, clearly they dont comprehend the effort you put into looking after these animals, i think you are all brilliant and the vids really tell a story. keep it up.
What a wonderful video. Everyone doing amazing work in the extreme heat. 👏
OH POOR JUNE. WISHING HER WELL!!
I’m absolutely loving your veterinary coverage in the videos, your content is excellent and educationally wonderful. Well done guys, you’re absolutely amazing! June, you’re beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
I'm wondering if a change in management at Pet Finder has sparked this sudden change of heart. All it takes is one jerk in a position high enough in management to turn things in a completely different direction. Best of luck with the petitions, that's a powerful voice and hard to ignore.
I just shared this again with over 12750 friends and I hope I can get more people to sing. Thanks for sharing and God bless you all. Have a nice safe day!!
love it and love June looking for a new owner - hope she gonna be ok
Tonka’s adoption photo was so cute!
I just asked them directly on their Facebook page
Signed it and shared and got a few more signatures.. everyone one counts !!!
It is the happiest of days when I watch your videos. The care, love and medical support you provide for all the animals is admirable. I applaud and send my sincere thanks to all of you. 🤩🤩👏👏👏🙏🙏❤️💙💜🇦🇺🇦🇺
I feel bad the horse plus team and all the animals having to suffer in that horrendous heat! Hope you guys having been doing ok over there
You all do such a wonderful job with everything. Love from Northern California Leanne
I don't watch every one of your videos, I tend to miss a few, but I try to watch these longer ones. I'm all the way in Australia so I'll never be able to give a horse you guys save a home, sadly. I was following De Lente's story alot, and because I don't watch all the videos, I got scared about him being absent suddenly. Found out he was adopted, and im so so happy. Now I'm following June's. Thank you for all the work all of you do to help these horses.
You all are going straight to heaven!!
Fabulous episode. Love the medical descriptions and not holding back re how things can go negative with June (praying it won’t). Everyone is so busy with their various tasks. We’re in a heat wave too with humidex so my sympathies for you all and the animals. Great to see some adoptions too.
I don't like wasps either! Hope they were all taken care of! June is a cool horse! I am happy to see her continue on her progress and how much she loves visiting the office! Love watching Cory train horses! He is so good at it!
You are like family. Love the weekly visit.
Your programs keep getting better and better!
Kudos to your team of filmmakers and editors! They are fantastic ! Your new staff members are great addition
excellent communicators. They clearly explain wh they are doing. I particularly enjoy the content, it's always educational.
Thank you for your commitment to high standards in everything you do.
I eagerly wait for and watch…and I pause when the aerial shot of the barns shows up, trying to identify each building and its purpose, the paddocks and fields and who would be in them, and wishing there were labels attached to help orient me. Video team: can you help?
God Bless all of you
Sounds like someone got paid off at petfinder by the slaughter buyers
Something stinks about the whole thing. I can't quite figure it out.
just a quick note to anyone watching this months after the original posting - the petition is still active as of April 2023! go sign it!
I signed the petition when you first announced this problem with Petfinder. I sincerely hope Petfinder reconsiders and changes their policy🙏🏻❣️
I hope you reach the petition goal soon. I sent it out to all my friends and family that I know.
I live in Arizona. Summers here are usually around 118 degrees. We also have a monsoon season adding 60-90% humidity. Can't really feel sorry for you guys with your much lower temperatures. Love the work you do. Love the fact that someone is taking care of these abused horses. I will never understand anyone who does that.
Keep up the good fight!
Have you tried giving June a warm mash to eat. She will get moisture and feed at the same time. Just a little at a time. we use to give one of our older horses that didn't have the teeth to chew feed a warm mash to keep weight on him and to keep him hydrated.
I’d like to apply to be adopted by June 😭😭she has my heart, I’d gladly go home with her hahaha
You all do such fantastic work!!
I love watching horse plus I've learned so many things I don't have a horse but I still like learning all these things that I never knew about horses and donkeys I watch horse plus more than anything else thank you so much for all you do and that you take in dogs and cats kitties and puppies thank you thank you I donate whatever I can I plan on joining also😊❤
Wasps are excellent pollinators. I always trap wasps that find their way inside in a glass or jar, then slide a piece of paper over it until I can release the insect outside. Hornets and yellowjackets, on the other hand, gotta go.
On the topic of horsey critters ... as always, I love to see the time and love you put into treating each horse according to its needs. You as an organization are a blessing to the animal world. Thanks so much for all that you do.
Great video as always 🥰
signed petition is 26k plus, lets keep it going!!!
signed and shared petition
Will you be showing the recent purchase of auction horses from you covert operation? Also thank you for updates on June's journey. Please continue with this. Makes my day.
Respect. 👍 Greetings from Denmark.
Try molasses water it gives her sugar and tastes good than plain water
Molasses has a laxative effect taken orally. But it can also be used for a very effective enema.
My Dad was an OB GYN. He worked at a hospital in Philadelphia that was founded by German Lutherans. The older German nurses swore by the molasses enemas for stubborn cases of constipation prior to delivery. So my Dad tried it. The patient went into labor and was taken to the operating room. That's when the molasses enema dramatically kicked in. Projectile feces hit the opposite wall and floors !
My Dad had never seen the likes of this and certainly was not expecting such a spectacular mess. Cleaning the operating room was a massive chore. Needless to say my Dad never used the old nurses' method again.
Signed. Hopefully they will change their minds...
Hmm, Petfinder > Purina > Breed Registries > Slaughter. The more horses born, the more that can be registered, and the more that end up in the pipeline eventually. Just a thought. I remember years back one of the registers came under fire. It was one of the biggest. :)
Sara, you're awesome! You're so fun!
Oh thank you!
Tawnee, I just signed the petition. ❤
Slaughter Pipeline time for those WASPS! 🐝🤣
Great video. Petfinder should at least give you a good reason for banning you from their organisation. The fact that they are not saying anything makes it look like they have something to hide.
The Government are working on passing a bill to stop all kill pens in USA. Lets keep the pressure on to rid kill pens.
very harsh training this time from Kory... he must take watch Steve Young, from UK.. best horsetrainer this time, this century..
Good episode.
The heat is brutal in many areas right now.
Do you need more fans like were purchased for Garrick?
That cat in the file tray has a career a head of it. I sure would hire to hold my files down.
I doubt world horse welfare can do much with petfinder. It was a corporate decision they will regret.
The problem with horses in 🇺🇸 is they are still considered livestock.
They need to be working animals or pet classification.
Only the voters can push for that with Congress, Senator and ofc President.
Flood them with letters, email and calls.
🇺🇸 shouldn't be feeding slaughter house's.
Livestock should never be classified as pets. This would be a big mistake just like the do gooders who stopped slaughter in the usa. This is why the horses are now going to Canada and Mexico. Dr grandlin was working to make the slaughter of horses much better here. Now we have no control in foreign countries.
You guys are doing a great job on save ing the horse and you are doing a great job for cats and horses Nannette
I think Petfinders has made a big mistake and I think the why of their decision goes deeper than they are saying. I think you could have a platform designed to post these rescued animals on your own website with donated funds. Petfinders has set a precedent for 20 years of allowing these horses rescued out of the slaughter pipeline to be posted on their platform. Something doesn't add up here. Perhaps getting a legal perspective would be helpful to understand the situation and what would be the best way to proceed.
Does purina have some interest in keeping horses in the pipeline?
@@jyasensky THAT IS AN INTERESTING POINT OF VIEW.
