The new farrier is very personable and a nice addition to the team. It’s really nice having him tell us more about hooves. I alway enjoy Kory and his training.
I agree. Watching Kori's training sessions is one of the main highlights of the videos for me. I always learn so much. He's articulate and knows how to explain his techniques.
Kind of like Steve Young, right? Pain is the worst motivator. Never loose your temper. They're (the horses) just doing what they think they need to do to survive the day. His son-in-law is a farrier too. Steve Young is supposed to be in the Carolinas in May 2024. Hope that helps.
That donkey could not have been in better hands with Elijah and Cory. Thank you both so very much for how understanding you both are with spirited ones. Elijah, you are a great farrier!!!
GREAT that children from school can come in groups ,what a great way to educate children about these GOURGOUS horses , how to treat them.look after them, educate , 🥰👍
Nice to see the kids visiting and to meet the new Ferrier Elijah - he makes the hooves look so pretty! Sad that Halo Is still not healing hope she turns a corner soon xxx another great episode Kory and Sailors teaching spot at the end interesting too
"Who likes gross medical stuff?" Ahaha. Jenna cracked me up with that. I knew it had to be about Halo. I would have loved to spend a day at a horse barn for school when I was a kid. I really like the new farrier. He seems very knowledgeable, efficient and easy going. And as always, it was nice watching Kory and Saylor work with the horses. 😊
The new Farrier is adorable a great fit. Keep him... Kory and sailor are doing a fantastic job what a difference they make this was a great video thanks for sharing.
A nice straightforward way of teaching children in a positive way but they get to know that all your horses have been rescued and not all horse owners are kind and loving, well done to all of the team xxxx
The new farrier did a wonderful job showing the kids what he was doing. I Like his way with the horses. Kory was excellent with the kids. Very nice watching him help Sailor with the fence work and the first ride. She did a great job. Jenna did a wonderful job with the kids.
When working with animals, no matter what is happening "patience is a virtue"! Pretty much applies all through life! Great to stop on a good note too! Pushing too hard and expecting to much at one time can end with a big loss of progress!
That kids project looked great! Oh boy, that Donkey 😅 Kory will for sure help him to be ok with handling. But he is a handful for sure! I was so wishing that they would adopt Judge, he was so sweet with the little boy 🙏
LOL Rudy has the attitude of my old Donkey when I first got him with regards to his feet. He ended up on the bonnet/hood of my ute (Utility truck/truck - 4 door with a tray at the back for stuff to go in) when throwing a fit about trimming, occasionally (mostly) threw a fit about any kind of hoof care for a few years, but we did work through it and by the time he passed at 48 of old age, he was good with his feet as long as he thought it was his idea, had ear rubs happening that he loved and the farrier he liked. lol I do like your newest farrier - a little bit easy on the eye - oops did I just say that out loud? - he would be young enough to be my son eeeeps - lol
Rudy being a donkey! He just needs some time and love and care I think.. he seems a bit traumatized. You got this Kory. You are so patient and good to him.
I so want to learn how to care for the hooves. That guy is awesome. And yes,! I new to this channel. It breaks my heart to see what these beautiful animals go through. Love what y'all do.
I love that the parents included equine subjects in their homeschooling! As a kiddo this would've been my favourite "school" day ever, especially as it's Horse Plus!
I can't believe you named one Sequoia!! The name holds a very dear and special place in my heart. And she is literally the exact type of horse I dream of owning which makes me want her even more. Wish I was in Tennessee to come meet her...
I had a donkey years ago I rescued from a sale barn. He was really belligerent about his feet too. He did get better as time progressed, but I think it’s just because donkeys have such different temperament, thought process and attitude from horses.
I think that is so awesome that you have field trips. Some children don’t ever get that chance to be around horses. Thank you for all you do. Love your channel.
What has happened to Garrett the farrier? I reckon he has gone camera shy ha ha!! This farrier is lovely. I love the way he talks the animals and I love the way he clearly describes what he's doing and why. 10 out of 10 young man xx
I enjoyed this video a lot. Seeing different aspects of care and different personalities of the animals and how you respond to them. You have a great team. Made me yearn for one of your babies.
Very kind farrier , very soft voice a d always talking to horses is a great way to build trust .. and he's always that way .. great fit for these amazing horses
Elija is a good farrier to, and to see those children look at him working and listening to him was soo nice. You are so lucky to have so much good people around you. And Kory is a master whit training. This was so fun to see.
Put a carrot 🥕 on a stick to entice that donkey while you are trying to pick up his feet. He will be so interested in the carrot he forgets to focus on his foot. My uncle used this method.
New farrier is cool, little pony is his own worst enemy, hope Kory can figure out what is going on his brain (the pony), kids group was great and even taught me a new thing (didn't know hoof grew out in so many different layers), loved little boy and his mom looking for a horse, glad to see update on Halo but had hoped that the hole was closing more. All in All another great video, thanks guys.
I think it’s so great that you take children and show them what it’s all about with horses Myself as a adult you have showed me how smart snd nice a horse can be but if mistreated they it takes work to get them to trust again ! It was interesting about the mule too !! I love all your films and love what you do for horses and all the others animals you are now taking care of !!! Soon you will need more barns !

First wipe the saddle with a duster, then a damp cloth then use Murphy’s wood oil soap and water 50/50 which makes a great solution for cleaning. Spray it on and wipe down with a damp cloth.
I'm guessing the lady with the little boy was just taking him on an outing and probably not serious about adopting a horse. Just a hunch. Hopefully Judge will find his forever home someday.
I'm the mom in the video. Hi! I am very serious about adopting. I have watched horse plus for the last 3 years. My kids are old enough I feel like they could handle an older horse. My daughter is 10 my son will be 5 in November. My daughter wants to be a vet and wants to do 4h along with lessons. I have had horses throughout my life. I currently live in clarksville tn. I do not have space for a horse since I live in a subdivision that also has an HOA. I am at the mercy of the 2 barns for availability. One being rose clover farm and the other is port royal equine. They are both near my house. I did not put a hold on the two horses because it's only for 7 days and I do not want to stop them from having a home tomorrow if that's what could happen. I want the horses to get homes as much as the next person so if that means they can't wait on me then I would rather have that. I wanted the adoption paperwork to be approved and everything good to go now so when a spot comes available I can go right away. I hope that clears up any questions you or anyone else may have. But by all means ask away I will answer anything. :)
Thank! He really did enjoy the people there. My daughter was in school so she couldn't come out. But he is very much a ham and loved everyone there and I appreciate everyone there for being so nice and welcoming.
@@meaganhoffman8255 both him and apache are both very very sweet boys. They were both so patient and had kind eyes. I'm really hoping that I can go back to adopt real soon. They both were so curious about my son. Hopefully I will not have to board for long and I can buy a house with acres but where I live they don't come around every often. Thank you all for being kind. I'm also glad they decided to show us because maybe there are other boarders that want to adopt but places won't adopt to boarders. So I hope that that helps other people as well who may be in my situations.
Great video. It's also great that you have that educational group with school kids to teach them about some of the things for good horse husbandry. (It amazes me how well the kids behaved. Jenna was great with them or you have better behaved kids down in Tennessee than you do here in Toronto.)
loved this episode! The new farrier seems really good. The school group was so cute; some of them even seemed interested! :) You had some awesome sections in this video, thanks for the hard work!!Thanks for all you do.
Good episode.. New farrier level minded and doing a good job. Didn't realize you adopted out to those renting stable space. Hopefully you provide more field trip programs to educate our future. Education can reduce auction dumping and provide kind guardians of our horse's.

LOL! "Rudy" (the donkey) doesn't like beards! (okay, men maybe?, people in general?) Kory will get him to figure out that people are there for good reasons, not just to bother him. Welcome to the new farrier, and Hello and KUDOS to everyone who works at Horse Plus, yall do a wonderful job! Thank you for helping all the animals! Blessed Be eveyone at Horse Plus! ps. Thank goodness these kids are being home schooled and it's wonderful that Horse Plus offered them the enrichment opportunity.
I love how much teaching all of the team does.
Poor Rudy that boy went through some trauma or no training . It will be cool to watch the little ones come along in there training.
