"#1: Every Black Sabbath Riff." True that
Bet without even watching black sabbath is number 1
Maestro TV All of them 😂
Pepsi Man I mean metal would not have existed without Sabbath (and Motörhead, not enough credit is given to them) so obviously a UA-cam channel based around heavy music will think very highly of them. Why don't you stop complaining and go watch something else?
@Ivan Bagley yes it would have existed. Black Sabbath were not the only heavy music around at the time. Voodoo Child is pretty metal so is Helter Skelter and I Want You (She's So Heavy) and many more. Like would all the metal artists suddenly no longer be born? Of course not.
Ivan Bagley Nah mötorhead was formed in 75 long. half a decade after the first metal album was released. Judas priest came out with an album the year prior and Iron maiden was formed the same year. Metal would definitely exist without them.
Maestro TV
Black Sabbath \m/ ^_^
Black Sabbath it should always be Black Sabbath
Jacob Reece Hey, you're that guy that always comments on Mark's guitar of the day videos😂
omgWoWfAx Yup, I get around.
This list must be with only black sabbath riffs, because all riffs from Tony are the best
I watched the video not to the end, while i wrote this post.
MaTaFiX Grammar nazis incoming!!!!

Horseduck 2k15 lol
I'm 14 years old and come from switzerland. My english is really bad. Thanks to my english teacher.
Surprised there's no Stargazer (Rainbow) here.
Max Hutti yeah I agree stargazer is amazing but it kinda has no main riff
Yeah, its a incredible riff
like for the unexpected final
Nah man, for real I knew it's gonna be Black Sabbath and was hoping it's gonna be Iron Man, Black Sabbath, & Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, hell pretty much every Sabbath song.
Man on the Silver Mountain anyone?
Ian Hoswell True! Kill The King, Stargazer or Gates Of Babylon could have made it to the list as well. It's so hard to decide but atleast one Rainbow song from the Dio era..
Better to be here
Makes me sad :(
Fuck yes dude
Blackmore was a riff god
Ted Nugents Stranglehold instead of Cat Scratch Fever
Stranglehold is the better song but Cat Scratch Fever is ultimately the more well known one I think.
Great White Buffalo is better than both in my opinion.
jeff kemp totally agree
@@butchvito agree
But what does Nickelback think of this
''obviously if cooper has to use a character his music can't be that good''
"We're a better Canadian band than Rush"
To which we all say, Charter IS music.
"Black Sabbath? Yeah, I think we heard about them before."
"I wish I was pretty as Corey Taylor's mask."
Please, another same video but 1980's and 1990's
That would be too easy...
Agustín 80's would be basically Metallica
Best Bluegrass breakdowns from the 40's
*Big Band Jazz
Agustín They already did one about the 80's
But what type of awesome 1970's guitar riff does Corey Taylor think is the best?
Phoenix Intergrale Ask him on Twitter. I would actually like to know.
Phoenix Intergrale ever heard of the concept of originality? doubt it...
Jonah Hernandez What are you on about this comment incapsulates the definition of originality
Phoenix Intergrale What does Corey Taylor think about that statement?
Jacob Reece What does Corey Taylor think about you wondering what he thinks of my comment?
2:22 cool drummer
Neil Smith is God.
If you love this kind of drumming, check out The Who's Keith Moon. Great drummer
Awesome to see BOC get some love. Criminally underappreciated band.
Godzilla could have also been on here, that riff just oozes heaviness
1. EVERY Black Sabbath riff.
Well played Loudwire. Well played.
They actually nailed #1.
I love how they put "every sabbath riff" for 1
"Every Black Sabbath riff". Epic.
Couldn't agree more with number 1
So glad Working Man is on this list. Such a badass riff.
2:08 get a load of that hippie mosh pit
UFO Doctor Doctor?!
I was about to write the same thing!
Linus Merkel what about rock bottom
Linus Merkel yeah rock bottom is way better than doctor doctor
I would say the rock bottom riff is more iconic
i agree with you guys.....
"Every Black Sabbath riff"
...even the ones that were made AFTER the 70s?
😑
Zero the Hero!
Me before watching: "I bet the top 5 would be only Black Sabbath."
2:30 "I know what you did. You wanted to include each band only one time. But using just one Sabbath riff is a crime!"
2:45 "I'm not disappointed."
I like how you did the "Every Black Sabbath Rift" at the end...
ok the Corey Taylor memes must die....now
yes its gotten so old and dried out
Jonah Hernandez but does Corey Taylor think they're getting old?
Uncle Squiddz 😂😂
Jonah Hernandez does corey think sp
Death on Two Legs by Queen should really be on here. Also maybe something from Rainbow as well, and Doctor Doctor by UFO for sure.
Stargazer
Love number 1 couldn't have summed it up better
Hmmmmm, no Lights Out by UFO. Stargazer by Rainbow. Rock Candy by Montrose.
Surprised there's no Iron Maiden or AC/DC, and I also think Barracuda by Heart is pretty heavy.
Jimmy Page AC/DC is dad rock silly.
Iron Maiden debut was in 1980.
Well played Loudwire.
The outro music for Lowdwire videos has a great bass line! I love it
You finally got a #1 correct. Grats!
Every Black Sabbath riff. Agreed.
this is like my favorite top 10 video ever
2:25 the way the drummer hits the bell ride.....
great list
You're missing some Thin Lizzy
Fuck yeah!
HaliniSnow Jailbreak, Emerald, Black Rose or Do Anything You Want To Do
This is what is missing from modern metal. No memorable riffs. Just chugging.
Dig deeper
Propane Kid icarus lives my friend.
Except for Mastodon, Tool and Opeth.
@@alexbob6981 What bands would you reccomend then?
What about Queens stone cold crazy or son and daughter ??
Queen Rules !!!!!
kate papa ogre battle
Victim of Changes is from 1976, shows video from 1982. Yes i know there's porbably no earlier video footage.
1. Every Black Sabbath riff. Had me crying
I appreciate their choice for #1.
great video......
Nice video
couldn't agree with the end more. rock on
An honorable mention should be UFO. Doctor doctor, rock bottom, natural thing, lights out, can you roll her, they have so many good riffs!
Hey now! That alone could be a top 10 list if there isnt already!
Every Black Sabbath riff nice one loudwire!!!
Can't disagree with any of these. Especially #4 and #1 ;)
I think the only bands that were definitely metal in that era were Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. The rest are excellent riffs, but Hard Rock, in a category of their own.
Edgar Winter - Frankenstein
Robin Trower - Day of the Eagle
ZZ Top - Just Got Paid
Nazareth - Hair of the Dog
Montrose - Rock Candy
Yeah I know these aren't metal, but most of the bands they listed are not metal either
You had me at Motorhead.
Liked for Rush Working Man! Great track!
+well, for the first place we have to put a black sabbath riff
-definitely... but wich one?
+uh... idk man every riff they have is amazing
-yep, you're right, say no more.
1.-10. should be all of Black Sabbath LOL :D
*Hey... These Lists are really Good...Not Bad at all*
*TOTALLY AGREE WITH THESE LISTS*
The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown) by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac was so great Judas Priest covered it.
And it is a Metal riff, make no mistake about that !
That bass at the end of the vid sounds like
stranger in a strange land
That Thumnail guy looks like Gruhamed from loudwire
it's always super difficult to choose a single Sabbath riff
For once I can agree with a number 1 choice from a list on the internet 🤘
Led Zeppelin isn't metal, and neither is Rush, but I'll take it, because Rush is my favourite band!
Medmac what classifies as metal?
It was still hard to define metal in the 70s, but basically anything that sounded "thicker" than plain rock did classify.
André Luís True, you're right about that. But neither Rush nor Led Zeppelin were ever considered metal bands. Rush had always been classic rock/progressive rock, and Led Zeppelin had always been classic rock.
Medmac answer me
Dark riffs, fantasy/aggressive/dark themes, and much more. LZ is a hard rock band with a folk vibe. Van Halen is an iconic hard rock band. Rush is a prog rock band with some metal elements.
YESSSS! Every Black Sabbath Rif!
I was thinking while watching this "You know the top 10 could justifiably all be Sabbath" and then I got to number one XD...
Totally agree with #1.
#1 is so true 👏👏
I thought number one would be crazy train
but nope i was damned wrong all of them are fucking awesome
Can you guys PLEASE do a Top 10 Rythym Guitarists?!
Yes! An 80's one would be cool!
King Crimson : Larks tongues in Aspic Part 2 has one of the best metal riffs. PS: Adam Jones from Tool playing was inspired by Robert Fripp's guitar tone.
Number 1 is surprisingly correct.
Finally someone who recognises early Rush as heavy metal.
finally a band that can play smoke on the water
EVERY Black Sabbath Riff! lol ...Perfect number 1.
*sees Led Zeppelin in thumbnail of a list of metal riffs
*makes triggered comment about Led Zeppelin not being metal*
Didn't Plant say he hates that title?
Valdyr Tyr yeah I think he did at one point
rush, metal ? ok I don't mind
I was wondering when Sabbath would appear because they had quite many insanely great riffs which originated in the 70s and when i read the title at the first place i just had to laugh:D
I totally agree with #1
"I wonder which Black Sabbath song we should put at number one."
"Fuck it, just use all of 'em."
Yes!
Compromising the 70s in a list of just 10 songs is like driving 30 with a Bugatti
completely agree with 1st place
can u pls do 10 greatest symphonic metal bands!
Victim of Changes should be top three, since Priest was one of very few actual popular metal bands in the 70s.
dazed and confused is a heavy ass riff, one of my favorites
Is the outro song at the end of the video an actual song??
Jailbreak not being on this list is a serious tragedy
I'll agree with number 10 even though I still think of Motorhead as more of a punk band than a metal band.
2:44- Amen
Here would be a more accurate list:
10. Ain't Talkin' Bout Love - Van Halen
9. Working Man - Rush
8. Overkill - Motorhead
7. Breadfan - Budgie
6. Victim of Changes - Judas Priest
5. Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll - Blue Oyster Cult
4. Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
3. Forever My Queen - Pentagram
2. Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
1. Every Black Sabbath riff
Kashmir > immigrant song
Just about every Black Sabbath riff is better than all the other 9 and I mean to this day.
number 1 is pretty much spot on lol
Can't believe they didn't have Rainbows man on a sliver mountain
Best metal riffs of the 1960’s
LOL
Before watching: "Just interesting which of the Sabbath songs they put in the 1st place?"
After watching: " Even better....muuuuch better than I thought it would be"
Agreed with number 1
best number 1 ever
No. 1. Exactly...
Victim of changes HELL YES
