Definitely try some Loire Valley SBs lads, totally different. I'm no fan of NZ SBs (too ripe and full flavoured) - Loire's are more subtle, refined and crisp in my opinion. Of course, also more expensive usually but as a treat they can be delicious. Good show.
My buddy and I did a blind tasting of NZ, Cali and Loire SB’s and found Loire seems to be rounder but also more earthy. It was interesting to say the least
Agreed - the SBs from Pouilly-Fume which I heard you mention in the vid will have a lot of those smoky and flinty tasting notes. If you found the NZ ones to be in your face too much, def. go back to France and try a few more from there.
