@@kR-qj7rw there’s an episode of Suite Life of Zack & Cody where London imagines herself with huge hips and a huge ass. Today more people openly prefer her that way 😂
I love Gamma World. It is a great two part episode. The Leader is made a credible threat. The gamma mutations made the situation feel horror themed. It was awesome to see all the gamma powered villians. I cannot to see part 2 reaction.
Fun Fact: The crew behind EMH were originally planning to make a Hulk show called "Hulk: Gamma Corps". It would've followed Bruce Banner and the Hulk going on missions for Shield to fight various Hulk villains. Eventually they just scrapped it in favor of a full-on Avengers cartoon, and a lot of the concepts and character designs we would've seen in Gamma Corps we see in this two-parter.
@@erikjohnson3859 Yeah... Contrived weapons for the heroes, relegating She Hulk's profession from High Profile Lawyer to stuntwoman, barely used Hulk villains... yeah, it wasn't great. Some fun, but.... not great.
5:48 They are the U-Foes, basically the evil Fantastic Four, but instead of cosmic radiation, it was gamma radiation. And each one is essentially what could have gone wrong with each member of the Fantastic Four.
@@jacenskywalker507 That doesn't exist, since the atmosphere does not produce any radioactive isotopes. What does exist in the atmosphere are something called Van Allen belts, which absorb and reduce radiation coming from space, from alpha to gamma rays.
@@JamesMorrisonSummersHowlet Sorry. I was almost completely asleep when I typed that, and I confused what Vector said about atmospheric radiation in that *"Incredible Hulk (2008) film tie-in game"* to replicate Bruce's biotech experiment with what was in the actual Marvel Comics...well, comics lore with them also gaining their powers from gamma radiation too. I'm sorry about that confusion and whatever confusion I might have caused. My sincerest apologies.
So you were wondering about the Wrecking Crew not already being transformed, that's because they are humans magically granted the power of (normal) Asgardians. So they had the same defense as Thor.
But in this adaptation they got their powers via gamma radiation, hence why they're working for the Leader early in the series. As someone commented in the reaction of Thor's introduction episode, since EMH started as a Hulk solo animated series titled "Gamma Corps" maybe stuff like gamma powered Wrecking Crew and Absorbing Man were concepts of that project that got reused for the Avengers.
I ADORE THIS SHOW!!! they use the U-Foes, thats a very niche Hulk team of villians, so i love that in a Hulk center episode (even if he isnt in this episode at all) the writers can use this kind of fun characters.
The Gamma World episodes are sone of my favourite episodes of the show, as rhe body horror elements witht he Gamma Monsters was so creepy to watch as a kid and it really made me appreciate Hulk's villains a lot more like The Leader (we're also going to see Leader in Captain America 4), Absorbing Man, Abomination and the UFO's. Btw Gamma Wasp really made me scared of wasps and bees as a kid. The impending doom of the Gamma dome engulfing the Earth is also pretty intimidating
@Bert24546 Yep it was confirmed the Leader is returning in the MCU and being played by Tim Blake Nelson from the Incredible Hulk (2008) movie as in that movie they teased his head mutating from Bruce Banners gamma blood. Odds are The Leader will be the main villain of Captain America 4 and will be the one behind everything and how he manipulates President Ross into becoming Red Hulk
The green haired woman is the villain "viper" (also known as madame hydra) who in the comic is a capitan America villain You may know the character from the fox movie "the wolverine" where she was the assassin for silver samurai Fun fact: viper is an ex wife of wolverine who marriage didn't lst very long
There couldn't be a better time for them to watch this arc with Leader making his live action debut in Captain America Brave New World next month...really shows you what a credible threat THE LEADER is....
How tf are you going to introduce the 2 biggest hulk villains in a captain America movie while you've been shittin on hulk for the better part of the last 10 years
Absorbing Man has managed to make a few appearances... but yeah, aside from him, Leader, and Abomination, it's real hard for Hulk villains to get screentime, and even then, it's usually Abomination as his nemesis.... though in fairness, Hulk hasn't really had the same success in non comic media... though that doesn't excuse Agents of S.M.A.S.H. for their ignoring Hulk's Rogues' Gallery beyond Leader and Abomination.
I'm really happy to see Ben 10 left a lasting impact on Eric. This show does have a lot of similarities, but he even references it one other shows too.
Fun Fact about the Janet Transformation! ; Her mutation turning her into a human wasp was because part of the procedure to give her wings involved implanting wasp DNA into her body ! Probably best they wrote hank out of this episode o- o''
I mean, that argument could be made for any of the 4 prisons. All of them are chock a block full of villains on a theme. The Vault was at least half filled with Tony's Rogues' gallery, The Cube IS Hulk's Rogues' Gallery, the Big House was full of a manner of chemically and radiation (excluding gamma) caused monsters as well as braniacs like Thinker and ZOLA while being INSIDE the Helicarrier, and The Raft had extra dangerous inmates like Graviton, Zemo, Purple Man, and the freaking Wednigo! The Cube and the Vault were at least out in the middle of nowhere, and the Cube could use similar tech measures to diminish most of the inmates, thus being more efficient and able to focus on specialization.
Fun fact about the U-foes their not just probably gamma radiation also cosmic rays cause they tried to get powers like the fantastic four Big guy - iron clad Skull dude - x-ray Vector Vapor
The Wrecking Crew are actually magic based if you can believe it (I actually left a comment explaining this on an earlier video. The first one with the Wrecking Crew I think), so they're basically adding gamma power to their magic power.
before mcu and before i got into marvel comics this show did a damn good job introducing alot of things to newcomers especially this episode on hulk enemies like abomination and the leader.
Honestly, given how the majority of inmates in the Cube seem to retain their full mental faculties with no indication of alternate personalities forming... I'd give it a month under the dome before the Leader's plan backfires with an entire team of hulked out Avengers with either regained personalities or new personas pushing his face in.
Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite animated shows. Also a request for the future, could you guys please react to W.I.T.C.H? It’s even available on UA-cam for free, like there’s an entire playlist for seasons 1 and 2.
