its 410
High output is 400
Regular is 370
That’s all I want is a nice diesel, luxury package, with a mild tune and straight pipe. I have my toy car !
Hi John! Sounds amazing, thanks for the in-depth sound tests. My 21 Megacab 2500 has the same transmission and I’d love to mimic your set up. So for that sound it’s just straight pipe? No additional mufflers or resonators? Lastly, CTT tunes have been good for you? I called a shop today and they cautioned me on running anything above stock tunes due to transmissions getting smoked on the 5th gens? Also, did you install yourself?
Hello! It’s a 5” straight pipe turbo back. No mufflers or resonators. And I’m about 9K miles in so far, and no issues with tuning or the trans. It’s definitely a possibility, once you put power to the 68RFE they will get weak but I knew that going in. I’m sure I’ll have to build the trans at some point. And no sir, had a local shop do it all for me.

Be careful doing booster launches as well. They are super easy too roll the L/R sprag and they will leave you dead in the water. I was easy on mine stock but after I built it and put a revmaxx 850 7k miles on the truck I done a launch and rolled mine they covered it under warranty but said they normally don’t but when building my truck I told them my plans and the owner told me it would handle it and told me too break it if I could and we’ll I did so they fixed it. But definitely be careful..

You’re supposed to relearn the trans every time you switch power levels on that dial. You will prematurely cook the trans switching tunes like that. Pick one and do a full learn and leave er

@@JohnWargo93 personally I’d pick a higher tune like level 4 and do a full out proper 100km relearn and it should good although there has definitely been damage done already. Seeing as it’s so new though it can afford some damage, probably not too late.
It’s true, every time you change that dial you reset the cvi and you need to either relearn or drive easy for 200 to 300 miles. Keep changing tunes and hammering down and you’ll get yourself a new transmission sooner than you think

It’s all 5” straight pipe and CTT Tuning. Very happy with it.
Is that all you have done is full 5” delete and CTT tune
I had an 18 that was healthy like that and damn my favorite thing was the way it screams like a banshee when the exhaust brake comes on. I have a 22 now and I have everything sitting in the shop staring at me but still no tunes available.

just got my 22 done I had to obtain a 19-21 ECM which wasn't very easy to get since everyone and their mother is trying to find one these days

Might be a noob question but how do you get your truck to smoke tires? I have a stock(ish) 2020 6.7 and with the traction control off I can’t even get the tires to chirp.

Haha ironically I was in the same boat.. with the truck stock, and traction control off it refused to spin tire. Even with building boost. Seems like the tune turned all that off and it’ll spin nicely now when I build boost and let her eat a bit.
@@paulwiest8167 Stock has Torque Management built in. Once deleted u get thay extra little bit down low
The cargo cam on the laramies must be different, bc my cargo cam seems just as clear as my back up cam and cam under the mirrors
What tuner and weight loss kit you running? Also what kind of mpg do you get with the weight loss kit?

The stock '17 tradesman 4 door 6 foot bed my grandmother has is a little screwed up because all the lights are on on the dash and traction control is always on and I found a slight hill and really got that thing to light the tires up. She's upgraded to a 2022 bighorn 2500 4 door 8 foot bed and wants to add some performance mods so what would you recommend?

Nice truck. I'm going to check out your other videos to see what kind of transmission you are running. Perhaps you wouldn't mind telling us again here. Also the 5th gen 2500s with S.O. engine are 370hp stock. Not sure where you got the 410 from. The H.O.s are 400hp.
Oh snaps, looks like you are running a stock 68RFE! I am too so I got a revmax performance valve body and once installed, I will ask my tuner to bump my line pressure up a bit. Probably around 200-210psi. I don't think I want to go maximum pressure just because I can. I'm not going to stress it anymore, if I blow up the transmission, I'll buy a built one.
Appreciate it! Honestly, I may have screwed up and grabbed the “410HP” number from the 6.4L gas engine by mistake.. I’m on Rams website now showing the 2021 trucks, the SO at 370HP while the HO is showing me 420HP.
@@4wdiesels 21' and up have an updated better valve body than previous models. They shouldn't flex and bleed pressure like the previous 68rfes do.
@@murdergorilla4087 so it appears that john wargo is good to go with his but my '19 still scares the crap out of me. I'll rest easier with my revmax valve body.
Def would run a valve body by rev max or BD and a coolant bypass. From what I understand, the tcm tuning with higher line pressure will help clutch slippage but the 68 is known for cross leakage. Also ARP head studs would give me piece of mind before going past 500hp.

No sir, she’s all stock for now. I’ll probably get a built trans here in a year or so. I see A LOT of guys with 5th gens running bigger power getting 100K from their stock 68s so I’m honestly not too worried.

6.7 is way more powerful

What trans is in your truck did u get the new 8speed one?
Mmmmm from my understanding the gas 6.4L has a new 8-speed trans. Both versions of the Cummins, both the standard and high outputs still use a 6-speed gear box. Mine has the 68RFR whereas 3500s and above with the high output have the Aisin

I manually lock out the overdrive gears so 1-4 stay active and available!

@@JohnWargo93 Mine was .342 gears and i was running 35s. I tow alot. And EFI is a Monster compared to most tunners.
The big dish rims on these trucks look stupid and pathetic.
They don’t look cool they make the truck look useless I’m not a verse two Lee brushed aluminum deep dish, but the diameter on these silly rims it’s just dumb.
