I tried making death work but my implementation caused it to rely on LIFE objects, and trying to change that would cause it to act ... not like cgol

I thought the life mechanic included all the rules until the death mechanic appeared
If i think about it, conway game of life works very simmiliar to minsweeper, each cell detects 8 cells around it, if there is less than 2 filled cells nothing happened, if there is 3 it filled, if there is 4 or more it emptied. There should be a puzzle game based on this where you had to figure out the end result if there is any

minesweeper is when grid of objects
The idea of game of life is that its turing complete but it's not possible to know the end result without it playing out (obviously for an infinite grid and a complex arrangement) There's probably a game theory paper about it.

It's called find and it has CBA... Wait that's supposed to be a secret... Anyway it's about using rules to basically make a pathfinding system. It starts off simple but gets increasingly complex and increasingly easy to cheese probably.

Does it not? Conway's Life is Turing complete after all. No input, sure, and you'd need a good computer and a ton of patience, but in theory it's possible.
