( 7:05 ) .... and she is a NINJA for her second job ( just look at her humanly impossible balance in that posture ). Her concrete craft is just as awesome. Thank you for sharing. Two thumbs ups
So funny! I found you tonight by searching for ways to use embroidery hoops! Then I saw this video! I knew that PlanteriorDecorator mentioned something about concrete planters. This was a great video. I couldn't use glass, but I'm going to be looking around my house for trash plastic pieces I can use!!!
Thank you! I’m so glad that it was helpful! I can’t wait to see your planters and embroidery hoop trellis!! As far as the pieces to use - that’s so funny you say that because now every time I go to recycle something , I pause and ask myself if I should save it to use as a mold 😅😂
Crazy-cool. Great instructions, I want to make some large big round, low to the ground planters. I am going to use sand or clay as a mold for the large ones.
Thank you!!! I can’t stop making them 😂🤣 the people at Ace & Home Depot probably think I’m trying to build a house with all the concrete I keep buying !!
Very beautiful...you and the pots! However it is reccomended to nuetralise the lime in the dried pots (harmful to plants) by filling with water many times or water and vinegar (many youtube vids about this) 👍
Yes!! I still make drainage holes in most of mine with the pool noodles , but over all I do find that it is porous like terra-cotta! I have heard they trap a little more heat than terra-cotta , I’m not sure if that’s proven or how much heat we’re talking but just something to watch for depending on where you live! and over time certain types of mix can release lime and increase soil PH, but googling said this is rare and that you can help prevent this by leaving them out in rain (obviously after they’re very dry) before planting plants in them! 😀
Great point ! I used rustoleum on mine but only one thick coat , I personally like that they’re porous especially outside with heavy rains, but for indoor ones maybe I’ll add a few more coats! Thanks!!
Hi , I’m not sure why it would be doing that mine are out in the rain and haven’t had an issue. Are you mixing the concrete enough? How thick are you making the sides?
Really really nice....but just wanna know why my cement pots are not good for my plants? The soil in them gets fungus (becomes green) and the plant dies. While in the same circumstances, the plants in my clay pots are fresh and healthy and the soil in them is just fine. HELP.....!!!!!
I'm no plant expert or cement expert for that matter but I've made a few aquarium rocks and they need to cure in water for a long time as the ph of the concrete is very high. I'm assuming that effects the soil and kills the plant

@@PlantedinPots The only I ever have that's glass is the huge pickle jars. I have been trying to find a good use for them.
OH perfect ! 🙂🙂

Thank you so much ! 🙂
Very awesome demo thanks!
If you use very hot water over plastic it helps. Heat expands the plastic and it slips right out. Cooking oil spray works well instead of wiping.
i am also gonna try this tricks.. looks super fun 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 enjoyed watching your video.. adorable puppies looks cute running behind in your DIY ..🌸🌸🌸
Thank you!! The pups love to be the center of attention so they make sure to get in the camera frame almost every time! Haha

You can easily remedy this by sealing the inside with any kind of concrete sealer or even Rust Oleum, doing a few coats of the latter.
Great point ! I used rustoleum on mine but only one thick coat , I personally like that they’re porous especially outside with heavy rains, but for indoor ones maybe I’ll add a few more coats! Thanks!!
Thank you for your video 😊 Do I have to seal it from the inside so that there is no water from the plants leaking trough it?
When I make them they crack when I add water what can I use to seal them
Hi , I’m not sure why it would be doing that mine are out in the rain and haven’t had an issue. Are you mixing the concrete enough? How thick are you making the sides?
Instead of putting cans and boxes on top of the mold and concrete, fill the mold with heavy sand to keep the mold from moving.
That’s a great idea! Thank you!!

New Pot would be cheaper than the glasses you broked hehe
I used products from the dollar store and goodwill! Pots are super expensive !
