Just put it together today (purchased on May 29) and have the exact same issue - must be a manufacturing defect - either the gear teeth are too long or the lever (foot plate bar) assembly is too far out board. I noticed in the video (3:51) that the lever is touching the cap at the center at home position when that cap is on - the lever on mine has a gap to the center...hence when operating the lever it bottoms out too soon on the plastic and the teeth on the gear are still engaged thus not allowing it to rotate. Highly frustrating and am wondering if this has been resolved for anyone.
@@randyhoyt3024 My plan is to cut out some plastic to allow the complete stroke - shouldn't have to do this - they should provide a discount or something!
We are on Step 1, and the base tube won't come off as per the "instructions!"
Is there any vids out there that explains the sand installation. I didn't even know I needed sand for this crap. I had the water hose ready.
Same here. It's late June. Hope Home Depot still has sand.
What is the hell with the sand? Should be water. Totally not explained at Rona here in Penticton. I was told water or sand.
My swivel lever doesn’t work. Hits the plastic before I can turn the umbrella... Anyone else have this issue?
I have the same issue, did you manage to fix it?
