This is one of the better solutions to the umbrella tipping over in the wind. I built cement bases in large flower pots and I got to still keep an eye on them. I've had to fish umbrellas, the cement flower pots and even metal tables out of my pool in the past!
Cement is a great idea! If you ever have to do another base, just pour the concrete in and then get it wet in the bags, you will save a step. That's what I do with fence posts.
Oh girl you gotta MOVE those bugs!!! go to a plant/ tree nursery they may know. P S. My honey said they look like gypsy moths?! Glad he smells nice( he said he used the nice smelling soap.!! He's a keeper.
I have this same umbrella and I can’t stop the umbrella canopy from swaying from side to side at the slightest wind. The base is stable but how do you stop the swaying?
Tracy we've used the umbrella lately, and now I know exactly what you're talking about when you mentioned the umbrella swaying. It's awful and I hate it! Not to mention the umbrella has also faded really bad.😔

Yes, bagworms will eat the foliage overnight. I think they like pine or evergreens.
Those are called bag worms. The suck the life out of trees. I had it on my tree, pull them off and soak in dawn soap with water.

Heyyyy Tracy! Believe it or not, we haven't really used the umbrella but a few times. Hopefully we will spend more time on the patio this summer.🙂
